Hate crimes targeting Muslims spiked by nearly 275 percent in Britain in the days after Islamic extremists took credit for terrorist attacks in Paris, France, new statistics suggest.
A group that monitors Islamophobia in the U.K. said on Monday that it’s been made aware of 115 assaults against Muslims in the eight days after the November 13 attacks.
The group behind the report, Tell MAMA (Measuring Anti-Muslim Attacks), said the figure was up from last year’s tally of 43 attacks during the same span.
“Many of the victims have suggested that no one came to their assistance or even consoled them, meaning that they felt victimized, embarrassed, alone and angry about what had taken place against them,” reads their analysis, The Independent reported. “Sixteen of the victims even mentioned that they would be fearful of going out in the future and that the experiences had affected their confidence.”
“The vast and overwhelming majority of the victims are visible Muslim women between the ages of 14-45,” it continued. “This is concerning since the cases show that women who wear the hijab are the ones being targeted for general abuse and threats.”
Often, the report noted, British Muslims said they were attacked while in public places, including the bus and train.
Eight of the 115 recent attacks occurred on public transport, the report stated, and involved “young children who had heard the comments against their mothers, and their mothers said their children had seen them being fearful as perpetrators took aggressive physical postures against them.”
While the data included in the Tell MAMA report concerns only the eight days after the terrorist attacks, police in London said in September that it witnessed a 71 percent spike in anti-Muslim offenses over the preceding 12 months.
The report was being compiled for a working group acting on behalf of the British government, The Independent reported.

piece demonstrating how desperate he and his employers are becoming
in their fight to continue polluting the planet by using non-renewable
energy
resources that are becoming increasingly more expensive to extract and
use.
Bolt
continues to be the paid voice of the rapidly shrinking denialist movement founded
to protect and support the fossil fuel energy industry against the rapidly
expanding renewable energy industry. Slowly, however, even some fossil fuel
companies are seeing that the future belongs to the renewable energy industry
and are now diversifying and investing in the renewables sector of the energy

Gas, Western Australia’s household gas supplier, for example, will begin
selling PV solar panels with battery storage systems beginning in November. AGL,
one of Australia’s largest energy suppliers is also diversifying into
renewable energy resources.
Carpetbagger salesmen like Bolt who write the anti-climate change propaganda for the fossil fuel companies will soon be out of a job as desperation sets in and they have nothing to write about to support their nonsense except how cold it was in Melbourne last night.

In his blog today the convicted racist Andrew Bolt writes two articles that lays bare his disgusting
racism. In the first titled ‘Condemning
child savers as child stealers: the poison of the “Stolen Generations” myth’,
Bolt tries to tell us that the Aboriginal children taken from their families
were actually taken for their own good. He attempts to assert that indigenous
children were some four times likely to suffer sexual abuse than other
Australians. Bolt neglects to mention that most of that abuse came from
non-Aboriginals and much of it after they’d been removed from their families
and in the care of the so-called missions and foster homes.
In his second article, ‘No jobs in the deserts so why keep the towns?’, Bolt argues that Aboriginal communities aren't worth continued support and that Aboriginal people would be better off if they ‘assimilated’ into the nations metropolises. Bolt knows full well that, if Indigenous and Aboriginal people deserted the bush and ‘assimilated’ into the nation’s cities then they’d likely extinguish themselves within a hundred years – which, of course, is exactly what he wants to happen. For Bolt ‘assimilation’ is a euphemism for breeding out of existence.
