1 - 50Bear with us: three warming scares go splat
REMEMBER when polar bears were the
poster-animal of the global warming scare? Warming was melting their
ice, you were told. Scientists and journalists agreed: the bears were
starving or drowning. In fact, that great bear scare is one of three big
global warming predictions that have just exploded.
Bolt is like an avalanche his column begins with a small report days before too lazy to change direction because it's propaganda put out by admitted lobbyists Bolt ploughs on neverthe less. He does what Trump does tells the world of the terror attacks suffered by Sweden. It's ok if it never happened the message is more important than any fact. Bolt collected his information from the GWPF. So they aren't just skeptics they are denialists.
What is the Global Warming Policy Foundation Bolt's source of excitement
"The
Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) is a think tank in the United
Kingdom, whose stated aims are to challenge "extremely damaging and
harmful policies" envisaged by governments to mitigate anthropogenic
global warming."
" In 2014 The Independent described the foundation as "the UK's most prominent source of climate-change denial".[5]
They are not a tranparent organization by any stretch of the imagination
They are not a tranparent organization by any stretch of the imagination
"Because it is registered as a charity, the GWPF is not legally required to report its sources of funding,[14] and Peiser has declined to reveal its funding sources, citing privacy concerns. Peiser said GWPF does not receive funding "from people with links to energy companies or from the companies themselves."[15] The foundation has rejected freedom of information (FoI) requests to disclose its funding sources on at least four different occasions. The judge ruling on the latest FoI request, Alison McKenna, said that the GWPF was not sufficiently influential to merit forcing them to disclose the source of the £50,000 that was originally provided to establish the organization.[16]"
So they changed their stripes in order to be what they always were Lobbyists
"In 2014 the Charity Commission ruled that the GWPF had breached rules
on impartiality in its climate change coverage, blurred fact and
comment and demonstrated a clear bias.[21]
In response, the GWPF agreed to establish a non-charitable organisation
to do the lobbying, alongside the existing organisation, to be called
the "Global Warming Policy Forum" or "GWPF".[22] The GWP Forum is a wholly owned subsidiary of the GWP Foundation."
What's amazing the GWPF admitted their Charity status was a cover for their lobbying activity. This is the quality of Bolt's source. The basis of his column which he presents as the latest facts.
From its double-layered coat to the furry underside of its paws, the polar bear is well adapted to frigid Arctic temperatures. A male Ursus maritimus, the largest member of the bear family, can stand more than three metres tall on its hind legs, weigh 600 kilograms and live up to 30 years. A female gives birth every three years or so, usually to twins that stay with their mother for more than two years. The polar bear’s diet consists primarily of the skin and blubber of ringed and bearded seals. It hunts seals using its keen sense of smell and incredible patience, tracking down birth lairs or waiting hours for a seal to surface at a breathing hole.
Where’s that bear?
There are 19 subpopulations of polar bears in the world, of which 13 can be found in Canada. The southern Beaufort Sea population, shared with Alaska, and the northern Beaufort Sea population, both of which are off the coasts of the Yukon and Northwest Territories, are either in or predicted to decline. A small population in Viscount Melville Sound, off the northern coasts of Victoria and Banks islands, could increase with changing sea ice conditions. M’Clintock Channel, off eastern Victoria Island, has seen polar bear numbers drop from about 900 to less than 300 over the past three decades. Lancaster Sound, off Baffin Island’s northern coast, is home to a declining population. The Gulf of Boothia population, off the northwestern end of Baffin Island, is stable. Foxe Basin is home to one of Canada’s largest polar bear populations, estimated at more than 2,500 animals in 2010. Norwegian Bay polar bears, south of Axel Heiberg Island and west of Ellesmere Island, are genetically different from all other polar bears worldwide, and their population status is unknown. Although the health of the western Hudson Bay population is the subject of debate, southern Hudson Bay, home to the most southerly polar bear population in the world, is relatively stable. Canada shares three of its populations with Greenland: the Baffin Bay and Kane Basin groups are both decreasing in numbers, while the Davis Strait population has increased in the past few decades but may now be in decline. The status of Greenland’s other two populations, in east Greenland and the Arctic Basin, is unknown. Russia is home to four populations of polar bears. The Barents Sea population, shared with Norway and Greenland, is healthy, while the status of the Kara Sea and Laptev Sea populations is unknown. The Chukchi Sea polar bears, shared with Alaska, could be in decline, though their current status is unclear.
Research in motion
Scientists study and count polar bears using two methods: capture-recapture and aerial survey. Capture-recapture, though dangerous because of the researchers’ proximity to the bear, helps determine the health and range of a population. Scientists take skin and blood samples, measure the bear’s height and weight and use ear tags to identify the country of capture. In an aerial survey, researchers in helicopters count bears along a predetermined line. This method can be tricky, as polar bears blend in well with the ice and bears in dens or behind ridges can be missed. Basically what's being said here there is no justification for extrapolating from some 2,500 bears in one region to 24000 world wide unless of course you want to support a wanted conclusion. As I said Bolt had prepared the hype without really considering the data after all he is a Trumpster and it's regarded as a legitimate format of news they seem like bear numbers you can't distinguish between fake and real.
What do we have going on here? The smearing of a Jew (Epstien) by an agnostic Christian (Bolt) and a Panahi called Rita ex of Iran a refugee whose faith is unknown but most likely a lapsed Muslim. If she attempted to arrive in Australia today she would not be allowed in if Bolt had his way. What strange bedfellows these two smearers are. Is Panahi believable or just a bitter princess? After all Iran today is country from which Iranian Jews have no intention or want of fleeing. They don't even want to go to Israel which makes Panahi's singular story of persecution questionable. Maybe her family connection to the Shah would better clarify the politics of her arrival here and not Islam Why the smearing? The Jew in question Epstien is it because he's reasoned and supports a reasoned Muslim Waleed Aly who Bolt declares an apologist as if that alone were a crime. Bolt twists words when explanation becomes apology it simply becomes unreasoned name calling. So what we have is brutishness that's a smoke screen for envy of someone so much smarter and considered. The truth is that Bolt the Christian agnostic actually is media's grand persecutor, bully and unreasoned inquisitor of Muslims in Australia. Panahi seems little more than a princess with a political grudge due to her families loss of status with the fall of the monarchy . Let's face it we are in truth more danger of Cannon law in Australia with the number of Catholics and conservatives in government than we are Sharia law. Besides there are more similarities that differences between the two. It protects priests any number of Australia's Catholics who commit murder and mayhem

However read the conclusion to the Canadian
Geographic Report and you sense a lot more data collection and
considered evidence. Bolt's Reports even state their estimates are mere
extrapolations that even extend to global estimates when populations of
bears are totally unknown and species differ significantly. It's the lets guess approach.
The Canadians know their bears better than anybody else and are far more specific in their counting procedures their their locations and admissions about what they don't know. They even discuss just how difficult count's are. Bolt's post well they came in and did it in a year saw more bears and extrapolated in other words took a punt and guessed. It's certainly the way Bolt works and as does Donald Trump. As they say the devil is in the detail and not the rant and rave Bolt throws at you as does the Donald. Bear populations don't grow overnight or within a year they take decades to grow. Bolt has the whole Arctic circle covered with polar bear cubs it seems. An increase in numbers since the 60's seems logical given the conservation restrictions on hunting that were put in place in Canada.

Everything you ever wanted to know about polar bears

Panahi: ABC host demands I support the sharia I fled
Rita Panahi is astonished: "ABC radio drive
host Rafael Epstein had the gall to admonish me, a migrant who escaped a
country under Islamic law, for not supporting an advocate of Islamic
law."
Scott Morrison under pressure as Budget blows
Treasurer Scott Morrison is in political
strife on several fronts as he struggles to contain a debt blowout. He
can't - or won't - rule out tax rises; he's allegedly cancelled meetings
with banks to punish them for an insult; and now a Government MP says a
capital gains tax change hasn't actually been ruled out.
Anything but the history of the budget blowout is buried. Buried is the admission that Tony Abbott made recently that it was he that sent the budget on it's downward spiral. Totally ignored never to be spoken of by Andrew Bolt
Trump the new Hitler? Get a mirror
TALK about projection. Now the hysterical Left thinks President Donald
Trump is a new Hitler. The ABC even runs a program exploring the alleged
similarities. But if the Trump haters really want a picture of a
fascist, just take a selfie.
Andrew Bolt definitely believes in free speech out of control disconnected false ramblings if that's what it takes to win or maintain ones position of power. Donald Trump today told America of the terrorist attack that occurred in Sweden. The Swedes don't know of it and are asking for clarification. Bolt claims whether true or not the Donald is free to say it and those that disparage him for doing so are just the hysterical left. Madness is contagious and is defined by the fact if your a danger to those around you or yourself. Bolt's reply that's just another opinion only.
NBN losses could hit $20 billion
Another government disaster, and one which
Malcolm Turnbull did more than just inherit. Alan Kohler: "It turns out
the NBN is a dud and will cost taxpayers a fortune in writedowns if, or
rather when, it is sold... The NBN is only worth about $10bn, and at
some point in the next few years the commonwealth will have to book a
writedown of $20bn."
"Another government disaster, and one which Malcolm Turnbull did more than just inherit. " BoltGlobal warmists trash our planet
James Delingpole: "In the name of saving
the planet, lives and livelihoods have been destroyed, landscapes
blighted, jobs killed, wildlife eradicated, prosperity reduced, science
corrupted, kids brainwashed: in fact, forget the class suit against VW,
it's about time we all had some compensation for the deceptions of the
green lobby."
Delingpole once wrote for the Spectator and is now an editor at Breibart.
Only Breitbart can say it's not VWs fault that they were forced to cheat that all the worlds transgressions against the planet were forced on us by the Green Lobby. Defence of this lunacy freedom of speech. Donald Trump is about to be the worlds biggest saviour and he's right to be paranoid because the world is out to get him
Multicult madness: Muslim students can reject woman's handshake
Import a people and you import a culture.
Then you have a choice: challenge it or submit. Too often now it's
submit: "A public school in Sydney’s west has adopted a policy
permitting Muslim male students to decline to shake hands with females."
We really should be told if Muslim immigration is meant to change our
culture.

Bolt's ignorance has no bounds "Import a people and you import a culture. Then you have a choice: challenge it or submit. " BoltBolt now wants to remove all Orthodox Jews ,
strict Hindus and observant Muslims from the country all of whom believe
in this practice of not touching. I'm also sure that there are strict
Christian sects that practice it too. It seems it would be far easier to
deport the complainers the racists of the far right and less expensive
than deporting all the Australians they take umbrage from. One thing is
for certain Andrew Bolt isn't representative of Australian Culture.
Bolt's an agnostic poppy growing, German and Italian opera buff who
idolizes paintings more than he does people. How Australian is that?
Multicult madness: blaming the reaction, not the threat
Victorians are questioning multiculturalism
thanks to ethnic gangs, Islamist attacks and racial division.
Victoria's Labor Government has now switched its policy to tell migrants
to sign up to our core values - but so buried this message that the ABC
reports: "Victorian Government launches anti-racism campaign in bid to
combat rise of far right."
When Andrew Bolt talks of Cultural Ghettos where some peoples allegiance is to things other than Australian he seems not to specify these mysterious places. Is he talking of areas like Toorak and Kew populated by directors of multinational corporations whose interest is in good corporate governance? That being the minimization and avoidance of tax, the sending of profits overseas, paying the least amount of wages and benefits to Australian workers, price fixing, bribery non disclosure and any other number of corporate crimes. Yes they send their kids to the ghetto schools attend ghetto social events and ensure they have the best protection and privacy money can buy. I agree with Bolt extreme vetting need to take place because they are certainly exceptions in the Australian enviroment.
