Andrew Bolt's Blog 26/2/15; Brandis too dumb for Abbott's politics; " New Australian" a wierd denial of truth;
Bolt seems to get landed with this sort of information all to often. "multiple government sources" unnamed already make it stink. All we have is a rumour from Laura Jayes Sky News who worked a 2GB. Her affiliations coupled with unnamed government sources passed on to Andrew Bolt make this smell like a Murdoch assist hatchet job. Why, because the minute Brandis was caught under the spotlight none of these government sources stood up in his defence. None have said anything publicly. How is it they haven't been crowing from the roof tops?

Bolt spent so many times saying things were bad giving advice from the bleachers. Even suggesting the PMO should be like Hawke's. Now this? he's obviously not overly welcome in the Liberal Party or refuses to report their sentiments.
Abbott seems to love juggling grenades. He knows he'd lose a spill. He knows the party has turned against him. He really isn't as loyal as people make him out to be. His competetive nature and thuggishness allows him to take a suicide chance because he's never been a team player.
If true. What are the odds that it's a lie a fabrication.It sounds and has the feel of a Murdoch red herring cast at Sky and hand balled to Bolt with his usual legal get out clause attached. We now hear Dr Triggs herself initiated the job request herself. Moriatis is thick or didn't actually raise it himself because it is a standout event.
4 days after the issue surfaced and Brandis said he never mentioned any resignation. However Moriatis his department secretary admitted he and Brandis had discussed it and the job offer. Brandis was left with egg on his face and commented" I don't know what to say" If that was the case that Trigg's initiated the request of a job. It would have resulted in an immediate response. It didn't.

The government is rubbing two sticks together trying to start a fire that's fine but how many days after? After forensically examining every breath Trigg's made on video and getting into a huddle Captain Abbottwith nothing left to lose is making a last ditch call.
Wow Andrew Bolt's intelligence never fails to amaze. He's actually discovered Indonesia is a Democracy highly astute of Bolt the media man. That not everyone agrees with capital punishment. That Indonesia has an English printed paper. That's more than accurate for Bolt. Two correct statements in a row.
However what is the likelihood of an English paper in Indonesia being pro execution? The papers distribution is no doubt in the main for non Indonesians. Furthermore it's readership is likely consulate so the paper unlikely to expose a political slanging between governments but rather the internal politics of the country which it does.
Maybe Bolt needs researchers to find and translate pro Abbott remarks wherever he can find them because from where I sit things look tragic. Two weeks of good government seem worse.
Why on earth does Bolt keep blowing this up. It's no advantage to Abbott because it still focuses on the fact that we are increasing deployment to help a minority group in the country not trusted or wanted by the majority of population. We aren't wanted by the majority of Iraqis. Why haven't we heard of our success in training the most disrespected army on the planet? Does Bolt want the media to hold of this I doubt if Abbott does.
Defining people as a concern is the creation of an industry and is the want of governments and because of past failing it's become essential to show runs on the board. Just as defining people as no concern is and reducing attention.
This government finds banks of no concern yet they have stolen more from the Australian community than any Lebanese gangs. No concern to this government are neither the tax dodgers nor the accounting industry built that purpose. Poor Glenn Wheatly he became the single sacrificial lamb for an industry of avoidance. We really don't want to examine that too closely do we? Don't you like the term "Rogue Traders" it makes the banks look like victims too. But which bank, it seems all banks. Has anybody been arrested?

So yes Julian Burnside QC is right Andrew Bolt in his capacity as a Murdoch media employee is a greater danger to this country than Islamic State. Murdoch Press has 1.5mill readership and is not in the main a presenter of news but a propaganda outlet. One doesn't need to compare the statistical probability of influence that Bolt has compared with IS. One doesn't need a mathematical equation to count the breadth or range of topics Bolt can influence on. Maybe at some point in time some media studies researcher will find that a statistical analysis of Murdoch media and Andrew Bolt will reveal a far far more inconvenient truth than Julian Burnside who I suspect statistically far more believable than Bolt.
While on statistics it's a known fact that people like Bolt give less to Charity or helping out mates as a % of their incomes than the working and poorer classes or even the mentally ill. Far less and shame on you for just that let alone for the other shit you peddle.
Links to Bolt's blog are quite often a dead end to an add for another Murdoch product. Anyway if Bolt tries to use statistics to justify the danger IS poses to Australia he makes a laughing stock of himself.

Since the bailout of Wall st due to the GFC they have not only recovered but have increased it's wealth by 40% Whereas the US citizens have gone backwards as they paid for the bailout.
Bolt has a problem being believed simply because he talks of the "alleged Murdoch bias". It's accepted Internationally. The only supporters they have are like minded Totalitarians. IS loves them for their support of divisiveness their disgust of Democracy their zealousness and lack of empathy. Fuck "turning the cheek". Screw "walking in any one else's shoes". Turnbull has Called the Liberal Party Out and told them they are running a rear guard action and firing bullets in the wrong direction and he is perfectly right.
Bolt is crying foul to game that should never have been started and Abbott is sinking fast. He just can't get around to saying it's ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN can he.
I suspect Abbott's instructions will be Turnbull's to release the children immediately but continue his attack on Triggs. He will try to own Turnbull's space.
Was Wilson offered Trigg's job before she was offered a legal position by Brandis with the implication she resign? Was she being blackmailed? Was this criminal?
On face value the answers are yes ,yes and yes . Brandis wasn't being too nice he was being too clever by far. Niceness has never been part of his nature ego and a false belief in himself has. Lack of the political smarts coupled with a self belief has brought him undone and history has just repeated itself. In Brandis's own words "I don't know what to say." .
Suggestion Bolt is a bullshit artist whose words about Brandis's niceness just fill a void... He really doesn't know what to say as well. But you just can't shut a paid mouth up.
Bolt is putting out a call and it's a call to lie. A call to install government sponsored lies in contrast to learning about Australian history. To be told. Hardly a possible task for teachers without the banning of books that tell the various truths from differing perspectives. Bolt is asking the country to force feed bullshit into the current generation of children. They need to forget their multicultural origins and take on something vaguely Aussie that only he and Abbott seem to know about but never spell it out..
However Bolt is a liar head up his arse even about his own past and feelings. He is a self admitted heartfelt Dutchman who hasn't forgotten his origins even though he was born here. In fact he has said he felt more Dutch than Australian and bragged about it. He knows exactly what it's like to say I'm Lebanese Australian or Dutch Australian even leaving the Australian silent. We were the only country on the planet to coin that weird phrase "New Australian" Have you ever heard of a " New Dutch"? To insist I didn't say I was Czech is not only against freedom of speech but identity.
My parents didn't speak English at home. The fridge smelt different from my friends and the majority of restaurants apart from those in Balaclava rd. However that wasn't what made me stand out and feel different I was proud of my European past and comfortable in my skin with being an "old Czech" or" New Australian". What jarred were the efforts of some kids make me feel second class because I was either a "Catholic Dog"or the son of Milk Bar owners.
Did Menzies have to tell Catholic leaders of the day to do "more" for unity? Did he have to tell teachers in the 50's and 60's to rewrite history? Collingwood and Geelong were Catholic clubs Carlton, Melbourne and Essendon protestant. While the religious hate isn't there the tradition is. Underlying this division was the postcode you lived in and whether you were at private or state school. Bolt's interpretation of feeling hated because of politicians, teachers, artists and journalists is utter crap. He was raised in the country and his old man ran the school.
My peer groups were the school and neighborhood and as long as there were other migrant kids about I wasn't singled out or felt different multicultural was the Australian norm. I was Slovak as Bolt felt Dutch but indelibly Australian.
Had my parents been unemployed had I been made to feel undervalued by having been sent to a state school and copped the Catholic frog shit all day instead of going to a catholic school things may have turned out differently. Had I gone to Xavior the son of milk bar owners things may have been different I don't know. However my attitude to this country had nothing to do with what the teachers were teaching at the time that's for sure.
University education expanded not only my friendship circles & blurred those childhood distinctions but didn't totally eradicate them. Particularly the private/ state school and postcode distinctions which seem to never entirely disappear. Even in your 60's it's common to be asked where did you grow up and what school did you go to. It defines you more than what Uni did you go to or what do you do.
Uni was so big it didn't seem to matter ideas became the topic of most conversations The War, Lab/ Lib our lingua franca along with the music of the day. We had 4 glorious years to explore develop. Yes Mr Bolt those were years of learning and critical thinking. Skills you seem to be so appalled by because it allowed for many truths as opposed to having one drummed into us. You could demand to ask your lecturers why you got a D- just as you could an A+ if the grading didn't make sense.
What marked us throughout our journey wasn't Nationality wasn't any of the things that Bolt talks about. It was a journey of opportunity rather than lack of it.
The constant grind when economic opportunity is lacking and arseholes like Bolt drone on and blame those not given the chance that creates division. Bolt blames the highest unemployment rate amongst immigrants and their children on themselves. Not on the false promises made to families to come and find no employment or only shift work that leaves their kids unsupervised. These kids now still suffer the highest unemployment second only to the indigenous. The fertile ground for radicalization is their Australian children. They are Australians and face the lack of opportunity to day. When the whole street is unemployed youth and made to feel different and blamed, made different because of the school they attend and the neighborhood in which they live it's it's surprising more aren't radicalised. They are Australians made to feel different even on a beach like Cronulla.
Opportunity in Scott Morrison's eyes to tell a party that the manipulation of division in a community was an opportunity to gain votes. That has been documented. It's exactly what Murdoch media and Andrew Bolt are doing for Tony Abbott. Don't let this arsehole tell you otherwise
