" Malcolm Turnbull was going to tell us just what tax reforms he had in mind:"
This is what the Australian said Turnbull promised not Turnbull. Apart from that since when does Turnbull need to dance to Bolt's tune? Let alone us attend his revenge mocking of Turnbull for Tony's sake. It's an ugly look crowing about media Abbott- haters being unfair to Tony when your one. Business Council heaps praise on Turnbull
The Royal Commission shouldn't be influenced by the media. But Andrew Bolt certainly gives it his best. Had it been an inquiry into the Liberal Party his energy would have been so much more defensive of their rights. No such thing here of course. One thing is for sure he will never be satisfied by the final report.
" enemies of free speech, I fear, sniff another opportunity to bully and silence and impose their preferred values." Bolt is once again advocating pedophiles be allowed in the schoolyard again. Free speech according to Bolt is legislating for hate speech in a civilized society. Grooming is not only for sexual molestation it's also an act of encouraging terrorism and radicalization. When Andrew Bolt has the bullhorn and feels free to tell young Australians born here they don't belong he is pursuing the act of grooming. He's ISIS best asset in Australia they are both grooming young Australians and delivering the same message.
'Bigotry at its most shameless' If it's directed at Tony Abbott Israel jails teen for “intifada” Facebook post
" Criticising someone for their beliefs is a critical freedom - even a
critical means of defending our culture and wider freedoms. But the
enemies of free speech, I fear, sniff another opportunity to bully and
silence and impose their preferred values." is Bolt talking about Israel?
"
There is no reason -
other than culture - for some Aboriginal communities being poor. And no
reason why the rest of us should dip in to our own pockets to make good
losses:"
" “My initial impression was that there was a group of people [on Groote
Eylandt] who were literally living like rock stars,” she said in an
interview with the ABC.
“Chartered planes, vehicles waiting for them at airports, they owned
multiple vehicles and boats themselves. They had access endlessly to
cash for their lifestyles and then for their families.”
The culture Bolt seems to be referring to seems to be the very opposite of Aboriginal Culture. It's Toorak in the NT. In it's description it sounds more like the culture seen at the top end of town. Gordon Gecko culture learnt where Andrew Bolt? In main it's the very core of our Western Capitalist Culture not indigenous. It's the successfull assimilation Andrew Bolt expects and it mirrors the top end of town. How is it Bolt never focuses on the excesses legal or illegal of the top 2% of the population. They more often than not get away with what working class Australians don't. How much money has gone missing never to be accounted for among the 2%.
Why is it when Bolt who is standing off center of Capitalist Culture, (he's not a Gordon Gecko ). He's an apologist paid by those central to it who always fails to find fault with the entirety of that culture when explaining what generates dysfunction and finds time only to place the blame on those negatively affected by it purely on themselves? The crime here is not just for getting caught it's for being Aboriginal. So tarring indigenous values take the attention off what's normal white ones. The Wolf on Wall st described an Industry not just one deviant in it. That industry and the Wolves are alive and well today and they aren't in the NT. If some get caught they tend to be regarded as bad eggs but not the case of indigenous Bolt blames a whole culture and it's not ours. How off target is this man?
By the way when corporations make a loss who pays we do. Often losses are budgeted for before they occur. In any case we the taxpayers, consumers and citizens pay. In particular the the Aboriginal community pays for the inefficiencies of the wider community. They were treated to a $150 million funding cut while Bolt was advocating tax cuts for the 2%. The 2% who are the Australian Wolves on Wall st
You can't get much more proof that Bolt is little more than a media stooge for the the fossil fuel industry donors and supporters of the LNP . Below Bolt tells us how the IPCC in a 2013 report supported the notion of a warming hiatus for the past 18 years. He knows that in 2015 they completed a review of records and research done and came to the conclusion that the notion of the 18 year hiatus was entirely false and warming has always been in a constant increase since records began.
In cut and paste fashion these promoters of coal is good fall back on the argument that if China can't avoid using coal then why should we suffer by not using it. To me it's a bit of a MacDonald's argument. Why should we destroy the franchise even if it's proven to be an international health risk. Why should we concern ourselves about public health and the increase in pollution if others aren't. Why should we be concerned that middle aged white men in the USA are dying in increasing numbers? What would Bolt have to say if money had to be spent on answering that question don't? We have public health issues that need addressing and pollution happens to be one that clean energy can address.

Firstly 46% believe in man made climate change and add to that another 39% Only 8% seem to be deniers. This is in a country in which the last PM was seen as largely a denier that had placed Australia at the bottom of the list of countries that intended to do anything about it. A PM supported by all the might of our an the global fossil fuel industry. So it's hardly unusual to expect that 39% of us are still sitting on our hands because it reflects our politics.
While 97% of international climate scientists are in agreement and 3% remain deniers or skeptics. The loudest media voice is still coming from the 3% it's where the money is. In the same way as Tobacco companies fought desperately to deny the science that smoking and cancer were related. The fossil fuel industry is arguing that science hasn't proved any correlation exists between CO2 and warming. That there isn't even a case for warming to be made. Let alone one against coal.
Political expediency says the sceptics and deniers aren't running counter scientific arguments at all but merely staging a war of confusion. Confusion to ensure the politics remains primary to the science because it's the politis that will determine the outcome in the long run. So whatever is occurring internationally the domestic politics remain and will be reflected in any situation. We remain international laggards and nothing whatsoever has been proven by this poll when it comes to the science. Murdoch and the LNP can however use this to ask for more$$$
Remem
Remember the good old days of the Abbott opposition telling us the sky was falling in the days when the word distrust was the norm. When the government said one thing and we believed the opposite. Remember Hockey's first budget the one that was meant to save us but we didn't accept. The austerity package that was aimed at the poorest of us. Hockey and Corman were caught smoking big fat cigars in the belief they'd got away with it. Remember when Abbott shortly after having done nothing but moving his lips said the budget was fixed but the deficit had doubled. We didn't believe Abbott then either. We had a government and PM we didn't believe in then. Well Abbott's gone.
If after 7 weeks Turnbull had come out crying the sky was falling in the sky was falling in he'd be as irresponsible as Abbott however he hasn't and therefore he seems more responsible and we seem more ready to listen. Bolt is doing the screaming so familiar when Abbott was in opposition but nobody really is listening to him because he's screaming about everything as if still in opposition. It's not and we need to deal with the Abbott economic legacy.
There's to be a witch hunt an audit by the tax department on small business and individuals next year as to how much tax they have left unpaid. We know what happened when it was done recently to large businesses and the rich, nothing. They are left to negotiate in private just how much it is they want to pay. The income gap needs attention as does the wealth gap. However as has always been done the LNP will do something to redress the situation by making not the 2% pay but those that can least afford it.
The usual vigilantes who simply run their permanent commentary on petty cash amounts when $1.5 million ripped off by Damien Mentach gets buried in silence. Why was Peter Slipper so much in the news over $900 when Abbott and his mates were scurrying like rats to put back $$ taken but not entitled to. Politics simply politics which in the one and same breathe is denied.
Given just how much lies & innuendo have served everyone over the past years the CIA especially have been active putting it out. In 2003 it allowed them to invade Iraq. Who benefits to say that ISIS did it? "They blew up the Russians man" While spreading their rumour the US insist
" The official stressed that there has not been a formal conclusion
reached by the U.S. intelligence community. “There is a definite feeling
it was an explosive device planted in luggage or somewhere on the
plane,”"
It's what Bolt always does. He writes 300 words only to end up saying that we must be reminded that his anti- Muslim rant is only alleged.
Russia has so many domestic situations to deal with a bomb on a Russian plane doesn't only point to ISIS.
Not you Bolt or Tim Blair as Payne said she has to deal as a woman in the most chauvinistic of all industries. Neither you or Blair would have had her riding your horse. So why are you wanting to steal her Glory?
The
income gap has increased as has the wealth gap that 2% ought to be
paying more and happy to be doing so. They should be ashamed if their
hands were rammed deep in the pockets as it seems Bolt's are reluctant
to come out. There should be pride in paying tax not a culture of
avoidance.
