Andrew Bolt's Blog, 27/2/16; $750,000 turns victims into Reverse Rapists according to Bolt; Bolt's journalistic method revealed;

Paul Sheehan's palpably false column Posted eagerly by Andrew Bolt and silently removed.

Bolt jumped at the chance to post this story. However he removed it silently when the truth came out. He never acknowledged or apologized for the blatant error.

"no victims of clerical abuse are ever questioned sceptically by the media." " it does leave the Catholic Church rather defenceless.  Gerard Henderson:"

Firstly no Catholics are being attacked an organization however is

So Andrew Bolt is a believer in trial and judgement by media. The media  said Dingo didn't do it and that the judgement of Lindy Chamberlain by the press was the  correct one. Yet in 9 out 10 cases Henderson and Bolt stalwarts of the press also argue the media is little more than a tool of politics and therefore no objective inquiries or judgements are ever possible only political ones. How many times have you heard Bolt cry left wing bias? Here they are screaming ABC bias  yet again.

 That alone makes Bolt and Henerson hypocrites and the opposite of righteous press. Their claim  that the Catholic Church, with all it's lawyers, is  a defenseless Juggernaut hanged and put out to trial by  the ABC because haven't set the Bunsen burner to the bellies of the victims of clerical abuse the Fosters but neither have they. They direct criticism to the ABC but not the Fosters.

It appears Henderson and Bolt believe the payment of 30 pieces of silver to the Foster family was sufficient compensation to buy their silence in any further inquiry. That a Sharia  like settlement was made  that absolved the Church  for the rape of their daughters and that there is no need for any further pursuit of the  truth. The ABC's duty on the other hand was to let the public know that the Fosters were  compensated. So why is further intimidation of George Pell necessary. Simply said these so called victims ought to shut up because they have  been paid off. They are now reverse raping  the Catholic Church which has become the victim.

  Do Henderson and Bolt have any moral fibre? As media advocates for the Catholic Church they have no conscience when they subtley suggest  the Fosters are now reverse raping the church and need to be declared doing so by the ABC.  Henderson hasn't the fortitude of his own conviction and won't say it directly. However this implication and line of  inquiry  is more important to him than even the Royal Commission's effort in searching out the truth . As far as Bolt & Henderson  are concerned the Commission is tainted and is somehow now just a tool of anti-Catholic revenge.  So according to them they are only pointing out  that it's the duty of a balanced media to forensically do the Commissions work for it and to test the veracity of the accusers the Fosters who are no longer "victims"  No comment is given to the fact that Pell was trying act as an economic rationalist rather than a priest.Catholic Church saves $62 million on sexual abuse claims

The Catholic Church is an  is an Institution with a history of  tax free capital gain in the form of  property, wealth, culture, influence and power in the Australian landscape. It's not just David but Goliath. The very notion that it's being besieged and is the victim of those who suffered child sexual molestation is ludicrous. They only have pea shooters the Catholic Church has the big guns at all levels. It's about as stupid an argument as the the suggestion that men an women weren't subject to a culture of sexual violence in the ADF. That Duntroon was in fact a victim of false claims also a David in the face of unfair revelations by the media.

Bolt and Henderson play this reverse victim card in a formulaicly in so many issues Race, Gender etc  not to address  any truth but simply to deflect from it it.  In each case it's in the aid of and protection of power. The defense of the status quo. Any differential in wealth influence or power  in society has evolved and is largely the natural order  and any dysfunction merely a glitch to be adjusted and not worthy of an attack on the institution. In judicious society families, corporations or institutions are never managed from the bottom up that would be counter to the Protestant Ethic on which Australia was formed. So don't  rock the boat or even suggest change from the bottom up is necessary. For this reason the inquisitional blow torch needs to put on the accusers and not on Pell.

 Sky News’ Derryn Hinch & Paul Murray on Cardinal Pell (yet again)

" It follows that Cardinal Pell is not Cardinal Law and the Archdiocese of Boston is not the Archdiocese of Melbourne. Contrary to the implication in Hinch’s on-air ramble, Spotlight could not have been set in Melbourne any time after mid-1996 (that is, two decades ago) since the issue of clerical child sexual abuse had been publicly acknowledged by Archbishop Pell in 1996 and by his fellow Australian archbishops and bishops the following year."

Henderson is an extremely weird guy who somehow believes himself to be an intellectual power house in the media in that respect he and Andrew Bolt are a matching pair of bookends. The Catholic Church is a single institutional structure the way it operates in Boston or Melbourne  by and large don's differ so as such they can be compared in both space and time as can the Archbishops running them. Just because Archbishop Law of Boston waited 18 years to acknowledge crimes comitted. It doesn't mean the Church in Melbourne hadn't done the same. Just because Pell acknowledged the crimes 3 months after being appointed doesn't mean he was simply forced to at that point of time. Nor does it mean he was a hero for doing so. He might well have wished he wasn't compelled to do so at the advice of the church''s lawyers. The SS Boston and the SS Melbourne are ships of the Catholic Church and are comparable on all levels in both time space and even at their CEO levels of management.  Spotlight could just as well have been shot in Melbourne with it's story equally as revealing not just about Melbourne but the priorities given to decision making and management within the Catholic Church.

 The Catholic Church avoided paying up to $62 million in compensation to sexual abuse victims by creating the Melbourne ...
