The truth behind Miranda Devine's attack on the Greens

Devine has added to the spread of misinformation by falsely blaming the
Greens for our bushfire crisis.
Murdochian's turn the heat away from Climate Change and point to the Greens for these catastrophic fires. Devine who prides herself with the logic of a mathematician can't get much further than 1+1=2 and her closed and purest mindset. How convenient for Andrew Bolt another denialist Murdochian braggart who when he has nothing to say is usually telling us about what an opera and art buff he is. He's away on holiday and is silent on what's been happening here even though the rest of the world is commenting. Goes to show what he really thinks of this country in which he was born.
The underlying fact is that fire seasons in both the northern and southern hemispheres have become longer, hotter and dryer, with the window of opportunity to carry out HR programs becoming progressively narrower. Hardly the fault of the Greens.

Certain politicians have recently asserted that in this time of bushfire crisis, we should have better manners than to mention climate change. In fact, NSW Nationals Deputy Premier John Barilaro went so far as to declare that anyone who mentioned climate change was “a bloody disgrace”. Other people, on the contrary, believe that it is a bloody disgrace for Australia to have elected representatives in the year 2020 who deny the global science of human-influenced climate change.
Righteous anger is justifiable and manners merely a Michaela Cash Whiteboard. A smokescreen to hide behind telling us there are rules and appropriate times when real questions shouldn't be asked. Like the time that rude woman didn't want to shake Morrison's hand but wanted an answer to a question. Morrison had the Trump gall to lie about the encounter and call it a conversation.
It is patterns of weather events which make up climate and are caused by climate — these include drought, prevailing winds, cyclone seasons and even floods.
In particular, the rise in CO2 has seen a rise in temperature and to deny any correlation indirect or direct is much the same as denying a connection between smoking and lung cancer. I doubt if Murdochians encourage their children to smoke. So yes the transition out of the Coal and Fossil Fuel industries is based on logic rather than just a Green agenda a logic our current government denies. Ask Craig Kelly Miranda. (ODT)

In the name of Australia's future, the Morrison Government must go
Due to political incompetence
leading to the devastation of our country, Australians are becoming
increasingly vocal against the Morrison Government.
"Climate Change is Crap" Abbott
The arrogant refusal of the Abbott-Turnbull-Morrison administrations to listen to scientists across the broad spectrum of expertise has contributed significantly to the level of devastation which is now occurring.
The current Morrison Coalition Government has neither the competence nor the intellect to comprehend or understand the nature of the crises facing Australia and is therefore incapable of providing effective leadership now and in the difficult years ahead.

The stark reality that Morrison is totally inauthentic and merely concerned with his own image has been further laid bare when he peremptorily announced the call-up of 3,000 army reservists without even consulting the impressive leadership on the ground, like NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons, about how they could be integrated effectively into the firefighting operations.
It is not as if it is only the catastrophic bushfires which have shown Morrison and his colleagues to be holding positions that they are ill-equipped to occupy. They have all demonstrated that it is beyond their competence to do anything to prevent the ongoing destruction of the Murray-Darling system and the destruction of the Great Barrier Reef.
Internationally, Australia under Morrison is now recognised as one of the key destroyers of the latest climate change talks, when Angus Taylor helped sabotage efforts by the United Nations in Madrid to cut emissions.
