COLUMN Stan Grant has sent me an invitation — you, too — to break his “chains”, ease his “burden” and take a “dead weight” from his shoulders. This invitation — issued on the ABC on Monday — surprised me. See, I know Grant, now a race preacher. So let me explain why I reject his invitation.

Bolt attacked Adam Goodes, Noel Pearson Stan Grant all on a personal basis claiming like all racists, that he knows them better than they know themselves. Bolt is incapable of listening to others he has to talk or shit if silent he might see himself and his ego crumble. They, on the other hand, aren't ashamed to talk about their families and Indigenous heritage, while Andrew Bolt wants to forget or mythologise his. His is buried, hidden, and when and if talked about is heavily edited without real frankness, rather buried and hidden shame. Bolt prefers history erased.

Bolt's past is his past and it should be forgotten. So should Grants we are all equal now. Grant and he stars in each their own way and yes are therefore equal. History needs to be either forgotten or at least glorified to show that they took the right path and how well they've done. As for lesser men well it's their own doing. They should congratulate themselves with "firm "not a languid handshake like men.

Yes, Uberfurer Bolt is telling Dutch Jews, Indigenous Australians and migrants different to him they aren't wanted. The past is over and we should be forgotten. Today is the first day of the rest of our lives and we deserve our positions. Start again as equals. Bolt isn't narcissistic he's riddled with the guilt ashamed of where he came from and his path to the top. Unlike Grant's, it wasn't based on merit.

Bolt's mother hated Australia the Grants didn't. She always taught Bolt that he was better than any Australians he was European and it made him feel out of place but aloof. Grant was very much Australian from the earth up but he was told and learned his place from a very young age and his teachers were white. Bolt says he had an outsider's view of Australia for 35 years until he married. Don't spring it on him but he still has and he's 60. He never liked work, he said so, he always preferred the celebrity and women accommodated him with it. Grant worked and worked his butt off. He enjoyed the work, breaking through glass ceilings and proving the stereotype of him and his people was undeserved. Bolt proved he was a wannabe stereotype a disguised elitist and desperately still wants to be one. He's 60 and seriously believes he is one when all he does is work for them. Yes, he's just a servant in the big house a guard dog who believes he's the owner a fantasist. Stan Grant isn't and it shows in his work.

Bolt's home study is a mock-up model of who he believes he is. Yes Andrew Bolt is a Colonial Stan Grant is an Australian. Bolt should feel the pain of his past and achieve Grant's level of a good bloke but he prefers to smother it with things that hide it's truths. It's why he runs from even the slightest examination of the short history of the generation before him and the mindset in which he was brought up.
