One thing we can be assured of is Anthony Albanese isn’t Scott Morrison.
Another he hasn’t the production team behind Morrison and Albo doesn’t
simply say “I’m not answering that” or arrogantly avoid the questions
altogether. Albanese you can trust tries to answer every question put to
him. That's not a problem if we want any consistency and yes mutual trust.
With Morrison there isn't any. He wines, dines, and hosts the commercial
mainstream media. The leeches whose business model “ratings”, depends on Morrison, his government’s generosity and his being the subject needing their
audience’s attention. It’s a quid pro quo,
codependent relationship rather than a mutually Independent as is that with the ABC which Morrison sees as an ICAC.
By and large Morrison's relationship with our MSM is mutually supportive rather than a critical one. The ABC free to be more investigative isn't and is less able to be manipulated by Morrison. As a consequence, Morrison avoids it like the plague. Particularly during this election. Albanese, the ALP on the other hand are the targets of the gotcha questions in the constant hunt for front-page sensationalism. To capture the widest public attention, curry Morrison’s favor, improve their bottom line and all in plain sight disguised as balanced News. Newscorp and Skye no longer even bother to hide the nature of their cash for comment business.
So who do you TRUST?
Scott Morrison is asking the Australian people “Who do you trust?” – a gutsy approach from a man who has earned the sobriquet ‘Liar from the Shire’.
Do you trust the man who draped his arm around his leader, grinning innocently as he proclaimed “I’m ambitious for this guy” whilst his backroom boys were organising a coup?
Do you trust the man who left the country in flames to sip cocktails poolside in Hawaii, had his office deny it, and then excused it by saying he doesn’t hold a hose, mate?
Morrison claims he is the better economic manager. This was initially based on false claims of having delivered a surplus. Instead, we got the first recession in thirty years and debt levels unprecedented outside of wars.
After having said “governments don’t create jobs, businesses do”, Morrison is now claiming credit for creating 1.9 million jobs since they were elected in 2013.
Between September 2013 and February 2022, Australia’s population increased by 2.7 million people so that growth in jobs is basically just population growth.
Morrison also claims credit for an unemployment rate of 4%.
Antipoverty Centre analysis of ABS and Department of Social Services data shows that while the unemployment rate has not been this low since before the global financial crisis in 2008 when it was also 4%, the proportion of working-age people who rely on an unemployment payment has nearly doubled – from 3.3% in mid-2008 compared to about 5.9% today.

It's amazing that previous senior leaders like Fraser, Hewson and Chaney are abandoning the Morrison LNP just as ar today's members. Morrison, Dutton and the ultra right are intent on destroying the party altogether. The seem to be intent on turning it into an exclusive religious cult
A key participant in the greatest act of constitutional vandalism in Australian political history is now the voice of putting principle before politics.
It’s reassuring that former Liberal federal MP Fred Chaney is now a champion of good, transparent government, as advocated by the climate independents (or Teals), one of whom is niece Kate Chaney in the Perth seat of Curtin. But was that always the case?
‘’The major political parties put party interest before national interest in my view,’’ Chaney told ABC Radio today. ‘And ’I’m sick of being a quiet Australian. I think like a lot of Australians I’m fed up by the way the system of government has operated over recent parliaments, and I think it’s time for a change, and I think that change will only come if the major parties are forced to change.’’
Vote party line no matter national interest? Right, said Fred
Gillard outperformed Abbott and Morrison when it came to bills passed by both houses. She topped the list when one considers the daily rate with which Acts were passed. Morrison and Abbott captains of Nope lagging considerably behind
The prime minister, Scott Morrison, and his treasurer, Josh Frydenberg, have both said voting for independent candidates in the federal election could lead to the “chaos” of a hung parliament. Scott Morrison Labor says rate rise highlights PM’s shredded credentials but Morrison insists it’s part of pandemic journey Read more However, a Guardian Australia analysis of legislation passed and not passed under various governments shows the minority government led by Julia Gillard actually had a better success rate in passing legislation than the Morrison government.

Kerry is being a bit harsh. Albo said he'd debate Morrison anywhere and Morrison refused to on our public broadcaster. In fact Morrison has refused outright to even appear on the ABC. Australia's most trusted information broadcaster has been left isolated and abandoned by the LNP in Election 2022. To Morrison the ABC is a form of ICAC and needs to be dismantled. However, no LNP government has been brave enough to do it only slowly and by 1000 cuts. Cuts generally declared "these aren't cuts" to the tune of nearly $1Bn over the past decade. Scatty from Marketing when treasurer called them "efficiency reviews" done by everyone in the normal course of business. Thus shrinking the ABC in an expanding nation we saw the vacuum created with of Radio Australia dropped after 75 years and the Chinese moving to fill the gap. Morrison and the LNP went against the statutory protections guaranteed the ABC from any government interference. It's bye bye Aunty if he's elected again.
Even Murdoch can't promote the walking dead all the time
It's two way
It's a 2-way street besides Gillard showed just how good a negotiator she was passing a record number of Bill in the shortest period of time at a rate 50% faster than Abbott or Morrison. The metrics both cultural and economic out gunned anything the LNP achieved and moved us forward not backwards.
