Entsch might make the issue worse if there was some sense of unity within the party but there isn't. Given the the disunity that exists he is merely reflecting reality. It's reality that's on the side of Labour. Any attempts to hide it will exacerbate the matter. Commentators like Bolt inflame the issue they have become Labours best assets.

Strange isn't it that Peter has chosen a favoured News Corp conservative commentator Krauthammer for his entire blog piece on the issue. Fair and Balanced being Fox's slogan. He fails to mention that the head of the CIA admitted publicly that some atrocious acts of torture were committed by agents. He disregards this as evidence to the veracity of the Senate committee's report. However one can be sure that it will be put down to rogue elements in the CIA rather than any systemic problem of insufficient oversight.

I don't know about Latham as I'm not about to subscribe to the Review. But I did read Bolt's self absorbed ego trip in the spectator. In particular to his misogynists comments about taking his family to Bali as opposed to the reality of we are going to Bali. He seems to have totally internalised the notion that his family are pets over which he has control. In his generosity he has decided to take them on holiday. Not a skerrik of socialist sharing for Bolt even within his family.
Given Bolt is a fervent supporter of Israel and it's current government which is trying to pass a Bill which excludes of 20% of it's citizens. Like Bolt Israel's Bill is an attempt at historical denial. An ahistorical constitution is a denial of not only history but a denial of the internalised culture that still exists within over 50% of indigenous first peoples. Multiculturalism pays no recognition to that.

Bolt definitely hasn't read this criticism of the current governments over generosity.
There is no thread to follow. However is Bolt complaining that a media award winner has been flown to Peru. When he a winner of no awards has to pay for his trip to Bali. Maybe elitist right wing journalists refused the invitation to go to a developing country and watch Julie Bishop being chaperoned. It would seem the closest thing to an award won by Bolt were the fines he copped when found guilty.
Governments lead and negotiate Gillard did it Abbott finds that difficult and he and his boys in the bleachers try to blame everyone but themselves. If governing is too difficult call a double dissolution make the opposition reveal it's policies. On this challenge they remain silent.
Fairfax and the ABC have a clear lead when it comes to trust that's for sure. Herald Sun and other News Corp mastheads have an international reputation of accidentally printing the truth 8% of the time.
