Andrew Bolt Blog; 11/1/15; Journalistic thief steals Charlie Hebdo for nothing other than his own gripe; Bolt calls everybody gutless but himself self serving gutless murdochite he is.
Amazing how Bolt has adopted Charlie Hebdo as his own the shining example of right wing journalism the only paper brave enough to print ant-Muslim cartoons. Notice how Bolt is not brave enough to reprint them himself. Charlie has more in common with the Chasers than anything Bolt has to say. Bolt despises the Chasers.
Charlie Hebdo are satirists. Everybody not just Islam were their target. They where the ABC's Chasers but in print and for much longer. Bolt is a total hypocrite and maggot he lambastes the Chasers for their irreverence and declares them left wing. However he holds Charlie up as a shining example of what our media ought to be but isn't. His personal motivation is to have his personal record of Guilty in our courts expunged totally self serving.
His single political motive is conservative to be allowed to attack Islam blame Islam, highlight Islam for all criminality wherever possible and change the multicultural policies we have lived by. Blame the ills of the world on on Islam and deflect attention away from the power and wealth divide that is increasing in society.
Charlie Hebdo was more in line with 1970's irreverence paid to all authority that deemed to be holier than thou. Bolt is in fact quite the opposite.
The need for Freedom of speech grew out of the anti-monarchist French Revolution when individuals felt repressed. Cartoons & satire took on an acceptable form of expression. It didn't account for today when the 1% can mobilise their influence in association with corporations and the press. Bolt cries for his rights as an individual to be respected while he waits for his corporate lawyers to approve of what he writes. He never acts and doesn't dare act as an individual. Te might just find he was ignored. Bolt is far from the defender of the weak and down trodden.
There is one essential truth to this self-serving Murdochite. He tells us he was passing the Je Suis Charlie demonstration not joining it. He was demeaning those demonstrating but more so likening himself to Charlie. The gutless newspapers he refers to and which he points out are The Age, Guardian, and New York Times none of which are Murdoch owned. I'm sorry.
Bolt happily asks us in his blogging about terrorists Monis for one that we shouls happily accept his declaration of Muslimhood however he is equally emphatic declaring those who say Je Suis Charlie are not. The holiday has done zip for this man.
The only reason Bolt supports Charley is pragmatic Charley really represents what Bolt rallies about The Chasers and any humour that shines a light on his ultra conservative ideology. What do you make of a man who hates Islam yet holidays in Indonesia praises Charley but has the personal politics Geert Wilders the ultra-racist Dutch politician.
