What is interesting is Bronwyn Bishop's helicopter went 80 km a 30 minute trip for $5227 which amounts to $10,554 per hour. The 16 seater jet carried her and her entourage at of at least 4-5 or more we aren't told for $5880 per hour. Given that she uses the service when on speaking tours and is a regular we can assume she got a discount. If we are comparing costs she beats Bronwyn hands down any way you want to look at it and Bronwyn was spending government money.
The setting in which Hilary gave her speech was obviously a set designed and dressed by Hilary it's strange Bolt didn't tell us that but then he is known for his loose facts

Well with interest rates as low as they are here and going down any thought of luring Chinese investment here is slim. However with our dollar taking a nose dive Australian assets will seem far more attractive. That property bubble it seems will continue to grow. However given only 40% of Australians are home owners and going down that market seems even more speculative. In the meantime the rich are getting richer, rents are rising ensuring the poor are getting poorer.

Yes as expected the cut and paste offered here by Bolt is totally out of context and needed to be read in terms of what Kenny was saying at the time. That Abbott was screwing our relationship with Indonesia just to score some points at home. When this was revealed in 2013 Abbott and the uncomfortable Morrison decided to make whatever they did a secret. Today Indonesia has cut beef export by 80% and Citrus fruit other than lemons all together a direct consequence of the disregard shown by Abbott.
Shortens boat stopping has options on safety and attention to our neighbours sensitivities far more diplomatic than Abbott's sledge hammer approach. Further the more Shorten showed courage to bring it up at the ALP conference because there was no certainty it would be passed. I guess when a spill was called in the Liberal Party against Abbott that was a non event. What Bolt fails to laud was the transparency of the ALP to allow clear and frank debate that the public can see.
