Turnbull to back Rudd as world leader? Seriously?

The Bolt Report and my future "I now don’t feel so much that I have a dog in the next election fight. I can do other things without feeling I am deserting."

These were words coming from the man who now claims the GFC was not created by the bankers of Wall st, bankers like Goldman Sachs and Lehman Bros but by governments particularly ones lead by the likes of Kevin Rudd. The GFC was according to Bolt  caused by government over- regulation. The man's stupidity for the purpose attacking Turnbull is a disgrace to Australian media but then it is totally in step with Murdoch's NewsCorp style.  Truth flies out the window.

All economists  agree that the GFC was the result of the unbridled greed of bankers chasing commissions by lending money to anybody to buy property.  Then fraudulently repackaging and  rating those junk mortgages as A, B, and C in order to sell them on for more commissions which was what eventually broke the banks.   It was their efforts to hide and sell worthless  loans not worth the paper they were written on for even more commissions that brought about the GFC. Wholesale fraud was committed the likes of the worst Ponzi scheme the world had seen  and we have Andrew Bolt  telling us that the GFC was actually a  " misdiagnosis of a crisis, actually triggered by over-regulation" why? Because it's what Tony Abbott was trying to sell us despite what the rest of the world's experts said. Abbott wanted to blame Kevin Rudd to get elected and Bolt is mimicking him.

Bolt is continuing the lie  because he does have "a horse in the race" it may not be at the next election but Tony Abbott is not going away and Bolt is there to back him with the same old lies spread back in 2013. Where is Tony now? He's in the US talking to Rupert Murdoch on his hands and knees no doubt promising not to make a disaster of yet another chance. He wants a second chance and he believes Rupert Murdoch will give it to him but unlike Trump Abbott will have to beg and make promises.

You can't begin to believe anything Andrew Bolt says. The Big Short is a great movie that tells us  why Andrew Bolt is an idiot in suggesting that over-regulation caused the GFC. Another movie 99 homes also reveals the greed in the real estate market that was the prelude to and accompanied the Fanny May, Goldman Sachs and Lehman Bros crash. Any wonder Wayne Swan was voted the worlds best treasurer he held the reins on our banks and we didn't suffer. The New Ugly Australia… Is the right dead wrong? Yes and Bolt is living proof

The latest campaign of incitement in Israel is so extreme even the Right has condemned it. The irony? Its message is entirely in line with that of the government.

Isn't this the Abbott approach to the Arts?

Why authenticity is the greatest spin of all

David Greenberg 2:42 PM   The resilient popularity of Bernie Sanders' socialism and Donald Trump's populism make it clear that the US electorate is craving "authenticity".
Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders has won support for his down-to-earth approach.
