As far as Bolt's concerned Australia, the Nation, or the electorate aren't of any concern. Policies don't matter only Liberal Party personalities and factions are his concern egos and careers is what concerns him because they are what fuels the interests of News Corp the IPA and its members, not Australians. the interests of a  minority cabal of corporate interests propped up by a minority of politicians who couldn't give a rats about electorates but only their donors. Laundy still happens to believe politics is an elected calling and bears a responsibility to his electorate. Bolt's job now is to ensure who gets power after May and the cry will undoubtedly be the usual only Tony can lead us to guarantee the destruction of the ABC. (ODT)

 Australia's history with fascism

Australian Trade Minister Simon Birmingham (right) speaks at a briefing for the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce.

Australian Trade Minister pours cold water on Britain's post-Brexit TPP plan

This Liberal Party is some ally to be relied on when push comes to shove isn't it? No matter whether your for or against Brexit politics you still would like to know who your friends are and it seems Australia only has one and thats Donald Trump. When he says jump we say how high. (ODT)

Australia’s Trade Minister Simon Birmingham has poured cold water on Britain’s aspirations to join the new TPP trade pact after Brexit, saying the group’s 11 members had more pressing priorities than seeking a new partner.

And the UK government pinned its hopes on the prospect.

WORLD GROWTH SLOWS. AUSTRALIA A SITTING DUCK

Australia may pay for racking up a decade of deficits, leaving the Federal Government with no money to cushion the blow of a recession: "The International Monetary Fund has sounded a warning ... as the global economy slows faster than expected... China yesterday reported that 2018 had brought its slowest economic growth in almost 30 years."

World growth slow or fast since 2013 and  Abbott as PM Australia has been going backwards among OECD nations and backwards against some third world nations as well. Something you will never hear from Andrew Bolt. Abbott not only spent but he sabotaged projects blindly raising debt. He screwed the NBN, built Monuments, ignored infrastructure and cut back in areas we needed. Stopping the boats which didn't stop cost this country the deficit and more alone. (ODT)

Who is Ian Plimer? He's an "emeritus" Prof an "unpaid" honorary position only whose life was the mining industry, not climate science who Bolt calls on as his dupe to try to discount that there is, in fact, a 97% consensus on the fact that the planet is warming within the global Climate Science community, a non-honarary but active research community.

Ian Plimer's business career is not a research-based one and speaks for itself.

Plimer is the former non-executive director of CBH Resources Limited from 1998 to 2010, former non-executive director of Angel Mining plc from 2003 to 2005, former director of Kimberley Metals Limited from 2008 to 2009, former director of KBL Mining Limited from 2008 to 2009 and former director of Ormil Energy Limited from 2010 to 2011.[3][16]
He is currently the non-executive deputy chairman of KEFI Minerals since 2006,[17] independent non-executive director of Ivanhoe Australia Limited since 2007,[18] chairman of TNT Mines Limited since 2010,[11][19] non-executive director of Niuminco Group Limited (formerly DSF International Holdings Limited) since 2011,[20][21] and non-executive director of Silver City Minerals Limited since 2011.[3][16][22][23][24] Plimer was appointed director of Roy Hill Holdings and Queensland Coal Investments in 2012.[25]
According to a columnist in The Age, Plimer earned over $400,000 (AUD) from several of these companies, and he has mining shares and options worth hundreds of thousands of Australian dollars.[26] Plimer has stated that his business interests do not affect the independence of his beliefs.[22] He has also warned that the proposed Australian carbon-trading scheme could decimate the Australian mining industry.[6][27]

Bolt doesn't turn to any data or evidence he merely turns to a disparagement of the science and real experts in an attempt not to appear to be more than just a 3% minority of outliers with their heads up their tuckus making out there is an "even" debate going on between two equal sides. His vehicle is News Corp 66% of AUS print media and more. That was lost not back when the 97% polling was done but is not lost today across experts of scientific, economic political and general public today leaving Bolt and Murdochians an isolated minority of propagandists for dying industries. Many of whom are transitioning away from their past activities.
There aren't there is one side with all the money but no grounds only access to a media voice against science who fails to simply let their research do the talking rather than blow their budget on wallowing in puerile banter like Bolt and Plimer. Bolt is an example of the gas bag approach of those without evidence. His blogs on issues like this are the longest possible in the hope someone is convinced he has something to say. He does it on other topics where he's not believed as well as his rhetoric against Stolen Generations, Freedom of Speech, and that he's Indigenous too. Deniers blow smoke not facts like the number of climate records broken this century and no we aren't just talking the 2000s either.

ONE MORE YEAR TO SEE IF THIS NONSENSE COMES TRUE

DUD PREDICTIONS Just one more year to see how right this 2003 Pentagon report was: "Climate change... could result in a global catastrophe... A secret report... obtained by The Observer... warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020... Famine and widespread rioting will erupt."

Remember Bolt's cry "the Planet is Cooling the Planet is Cooling" that was as old as 2003 and it now seems to have gone west. By 2016 when even he realised it made him look an idiot and he's somewhat even deserted Tony. Abbott tried to find a compromise once by sneaking in a false academic Bjorn Lomborg and since that failed Abbott went back to full-blown denial why? For politics of course and his swing back made him look the idiot he is. Even the industry he's trying to protect is laughing at him. Bolt doesn't know which side he's on and changes like Melbourne's weather ignoring his past inconsistent wanking he calls intelligent debate. One day an individualist and free-marketeer the next a socialist demanding government take control of an industry.
Bolt searches for help only to find idiot individuals like Plimer from which to generalise from. He tries to redefine the meaning of science to religion and relativise facts and evidence reducing everything to opinion alone. In Bolt's false world the planet is cooling, he is indigenous and he's right and the rest of us are misguided religious weirdos Muslims or other cultists. In other words, the world is flat and it is cooling. The scientific method is designed to critically assess itself is always proving itself to be wrong however not proving Bolt to be right and that's the nub. Science has and is progressing Bolt, on the other hand, is constantly regressing and at best stationery wanting to prevent progress in the interests of a few, not the world. Today even experts disagree with anything he says and his paymasters want them silenced. (ODT)

Bolt's style of blogging is straight Fox: Get the dirt and deflect

Fox's Jesse Watters brings up reporter's past substance abuse issues to discredit negative Trump story
" JESSE WATTERS (HOST): He also in his personal life, he says he's engaged in lying, cheating and backstabbing and he has battled mental illness and struggled with substance abuse. I'm not saying that's colouring his reporting, but take it with a grain of salt, that's all I'm saying. But this is big if it's true."
