What Bolt learned was zip or at least won't admit the reality of what occurred.
 1) the total of votes that meant anything for this win only amounted to some 146,000 across the country hardly the massive victory to be sung about. Why the noise the surprise!! 2) The poorest people in the country that haven't the time, money or education workers swung away from Labor the wealthy and educated the most to be negatively affected by Franking Credits, and negative gearing actually swung to Labour. 3) Reason, rationality, and fact were defeated by nothing other than the media firestorm of a scare campaign and fake advertising that drove those conned workers in fear of their jobs. However not to the LNP but to everyone but Hanson and the UAP in Qld. It's no wonder politicians, along with the media, have become the least trusted people in the Australian Society. Murdoch media were happy as pigs in shit running that scare campaign for a profit. The question did they get paid up front if not will they be paid at all by Clive Palmer who owes Qld workers that $70mill?
Bolt learned absolutely nothing from the exercise. It appears, however, David Speers learned a lot and was sick of it.

The fact that this election wasn't won but was lost on a liar's scare campaign shows the lack of concern the LNP, UAP, and One Nation showed for the issues that people really care about.  I don't recall anybody calling Cory Bernardi a traitor when he left the Party. Abbott the conservatives praised him and they were still members of parliament and the Liberal Party. I do recall what Tony Abbott instigated being done to Peter Slipper. The Party bullies sent him to hospital. It's odd to find people so determined to hate what they read spending so much time reading it, and I'm sure there are more such critics here than usual. Is some activist group involved?

  Has Andrew Bolt begun to print these comments no! At most some selected ones. But he's right it's odd to find so many people reading it and I'm sure with informed replies. As Bolt has polled so high on so many distrust meters why should this post be any different? As for "instinctively and often without evidence of thought" is merely a smear that proves Bolt is doing exactly what he's criticizing. But Bolt does it on a daily basis. People watch porn it doesn't mean it's good.

Bolt doesn't turn to any data or evidence he merely turns to a disparagement of the science and real experts in an attempt not to appear to be more than just a 3% minority of outliers with their heads up their tuckus making out there is an "even" debate going on between two equal sides. His vehicle is News Corp 66% of AUS print media and more. That was lost not back when the 97% polling was done but is not lost today across experts of scientific, economic political and general public today leaving Bolt and Murdochians an isolated minority of propagandists for dying industries. Many of whom are transitioning away from their past activities.
There aren't there is one side with all the money but no grounds only access to a media voice against science who fails to simply let their research do the talking rather than blow their budget on wallowing in puerile banter like Bolt and Plimer. Bolt is an example of the gas bag approach of those without evidence. His blogs on issues like this are the longest possible in the hope someone is convinced he has something to say. He does it on other topics where he's not believed as well as his rhetoric against Stolen Generations, Freedom of Speech, and that he's Indigenous too. Deniers blow smoke not facts like the number of climate records broken this century and no we aren't just talking the 2000s either.

Remember Bolt's cry "the Planet is Cooling the Planet is Cooling" that was as old as 2003 and it now seems to have gone west. By 2016 when even he realised it made him look an idiot and he's somewhat even deserted Tony. In Bolt's false world the planet is cooling, he is indigenous and he's right and the rest of us are misguided religious weirdos Muslims or other cultists. In other words, the world is flat and it is cooling. The scientific method is designed to critically assess itself is always proving itself to be wrong however not proving Bolt to be right and that's the nub. Science has and is progressing Bolt, on the other hand, is constantly regressing and at best stationery wanting to prevent progress in the interests of a few, not the world. How Peta Credlin has become the Liberal Party's 'great right hope'

 

On January 7, Aaron Patrick reported in The Australian Financial Review: “Liberal Party officials are eager to recruit Ms Credlin, who they believe could wrestle the rural-based seat from the Nationals' grip. Sources who know the former top aide to Tony Abbott say she is likely to run if the Nationals choose a weak candidate.”
This line sets up the narrative that if Credlin nominates she is effectively declaring the Nat a dud. Broad was only 43 and rising in Canberra so there could not have been ambitious Nats angling for the seat.

Credlin is apparently waiting to see who the Nats preselect. If she nominates for Liberal preselection, who would run against this Amazonian? Likely no-one because, unlike in NSW, the Liberals in Victoria are democratic and all local members vote for candidates, which disempowers factional creeps. When her boss lost his job in 2015 it must have been a crushing blow, but Credlin picked herself up and immediately excelled in another cut-throat industry – the news media. She seems to relish it

  Let's start with quibble has Andrew Bolt got the right woman is it Julia or Julie Banks that is or isn't a Liberal? Andrew Bolt has a common fault when debating he focuses on semantics and quibbling to change the language and then declare yourself the winner. From "I'm indigenous too" to "Science is just another Religion" and " Banks wasn't a Liberal anyway" Bolt seems to be paid to act as the court jester or idiot and he plays that part well without really trying. When is a debate not a debate when Andrew Bolt is a participant and it boils down to a simple change of semantics and "quibbling over the petty stuff ".
The fact of the matter is Craig Kelly can be ignored even be defined as a victim of Liberal bullying while Banks can't in the same way. James Molan's threat to do what did has been totally disregarded. Banks is a traitor but Kelly has been stabbed by traitors and Molan claims he will be. All this bruha in commonsense terms is hypocrisy, tactics and distraction by Bolt on the part Conservatives threatening to do the same as that woman who was never one of us anyway. Confusion is the goal everybody is to blame and not just Abbott's conservatives. In the meantime, Abbott's playing the altar boy and seemingly obeying the rules of politeness and sanity and gone to ground.

 No bullies in the Liberal Party according to Andrew Bolt  Craig Kelly is your run of the mill politician.  In fact, according to Bolt, he's a victim of Julia Banks lies and fake justifications for her moving to the crossbench. She is apparently when all said and done the Quizzling Kelly isn't even if he threatens to follow her. For the past 3 years Bolt has been bagging out the Liberal Party and now he's defending them? He's not he's in PR damage control taking the blame and shame off Abbott's bovver boys of the Party. When push comes to shove Tony Abbott goes silent and lets News Corp do the talking for him. He has to be careful because there are moves afoot in Warringah against him. So he has to appear as saintly as an altar boy.
 So Bolt will follow a fictitious script that nobody can possibly believe that the majority of the Liberal Party its base, members and constituents support the actions of Abbott's conservative faction who are the misunderstood victims of a revolt. (ODT)

Milo Yiannopoulos 'more than $2m in debt', Australian promoters' documents show

  The far-right activist Milo Yiannopoulos was more than $2m in debt during 2018, according to a collection of documents assembled by his former Australian tour promoters and seen by Guardian Australia. Creditors listed in the documents include employees of his company, a wedding venue and his former sponsors, the billionaire Mercer family.

Bolt loves any opportunity to remove history and social evolution out of the context of the statistics he presents if human progress deforests the US to concrete there will be zero forest fires in America. The question isn't even considered that the average of forest in 1930 isn't what it is today. And that the specific fires experienced today are far more intense and have a far greater impact than those experienced in 1930. Ask the people of Paradise.
Bolt played the same stupid card recently when referring to drought in Qld and NSW he came out with a statistic that shows Australia was not in drought but being flooded and the Qld farmers didn't know what they were talking about when talking about a 100-year drought. He shut up about that effort to distract and waste their time with nonsense. He won't persist with this graphic either.
Can You imagine the 1930s with the firefighting technologies we have today or Malibu being defended with 1930s equipment? Bolt does have a twisted and simplistic sense of what he can extrapolate from the above stat.

Remember when Hockey and Abbott said the taxes needn't be dropped because the poor don't have cars or don't drive far. They'd be shouting for Trump too strange but not for Abbott.

Tony Abbot used to make sure he was invited overseas and then published in the Daily Telegraph. Remember the hoax he and Murdoch tried to pull that he was personally invited to the Alfalfa Club in Atlanta because he was so missed by the upper echelon of American Politics. The dinner that turned out to be a $200 lunch Murdoch took him too with a cameraman for a photo shoot to be published on the front page of the DailyTelegraph all just a PR stunt to boost dear Tony except they got busted. Obama wasn't there McCain and Abbott had their photo taken not someone Abbott really to be seen with and others simply didn't know who the "F" he was.

Blame the father what the son said seems  Bolt's rule. Kids can't be independent of their parents. He certainly didn't blame Abbott's raising of his daughter when she supported her aunt his sister for being a great role model for her kids raised in a same-sex marriage relationship. Abbott was clear and definite he disagreed and would have no doubt stolen her children if he could.  What independence does Bolt allow his clan he claims are all just a group of "individuals"?
