Adam Goodes wants to prompt a conversation about Indigenous equality, says Stan Grant.

The audience of around 2000 applauded moments, including Nicky Winmar’s infamous shirt-lifting gesture, and gave a standing ovation at the end of the film.

Sections of the crowd jeered when Eddie McGuire referred to his infamous King Kong comments as a “mistake” and when commentator Andrew Bolt defended his past criticisms of Goodes.

Bolt didn't attend he was busy putting the boot into Marcia Langton and getting his jollies off by laughing about the Sudanese Community Beauty Pageant. Cultural Racism is just laughing at reality, hey. Bolt's finally hit International gold with this documentary and was sorry he couldn't attend the award night.

"The racist people are always going to be racist ... but it's that middle ground we're trying to shift,” he said at the premiere.

Brett Goodes on brother Adam's Australian nightmare

The vilification of AFL great Adam Goodes is a subject his brother Brett knows only too well.

It is generally agreed that the campaign of booing that plagued dual Brownlow winner Adam in his last three seasons had its genesis in the Indigenous round in 2013 when he called out a 13-year-old Collingwood fan for calling him an ape. At a press conference the following day, Goodes made it clear he didn't hold her personally responsible, saying she was merely a product of the culture in which she'd been raised.
Something Andre Bolt edited out on the Bolt Report intentionally and focused on Goodes "calling out" the 13-year-old only. Selectively edited by Andrew Bolt culturally vilify Goodes for an act of "Reverse Racism". Bolt also self-edited and described a conversation Goodes had on the phone with the girl as if he were a party to their conversation. Any wonder he was found guilty of previous racial vilification the man is a born calculated liar in a chase for ratings.
"The media played a huge role in what happened, in my opinion," says Brett. "They could have got behind what Adam was trying to do, to start that conversation." Instead, it became a "media frenzy", with antagonistic commentators "pulling out pieces of what he said to add fuel to the fire. It was just completely incorrect".
  A blackfella who was a prodigiously talented player was acceptable; a prodigiously talented blackfella demanding to have a voice in the national debate, not so much.
Andrew Bolt has done the same to other minority who have spoken up Yassmin Abdel-Magied, Waleed Aly and his wife Dr Susan Carland among others protected and given platform by News Corp and Sky News a powerhouse of bigotry and racism in the Australian media landscape.
They get away with it here in Australia but not so everywhere. NZ cut Sky News off during the Christchurch massacre when trying to broadcast the incident live to air. Such is their code of ethics in the rating chase anything goes.
What Goodes went through was shameful. But it may yet prove to have an upside. However, what Andrew Bolt gets away with is even more disgraceful because we allow it to happen and go on as a cultural trend daily in this country and have done so for over 200 years.

I am indeed ”deeply disturbed” about the fact that these hate and conspiracy campaigns are allowed to go on and on and on just because we children communicate and act on the science. Where are the adults?

60 year old Andrew Bolt attacks a 16 year old on a very personal level and has been doing since she was 14. She replies in a far more reasoned mannere than Bully Boy Bolt who by the way lied and chided Adam Goodes for what he didn't do. Isn't it time News Corp showed some pride? I have never seen a Corp so large, nationally influential with such empathy for fake news and propaganda to support no a diverse nation but small minority. It's intent culturally divisive all in order to distract from the economic unity to move us to more universal equality and responsibility.

   Pelosi refers to Kushner as 'slumlord.'

   Nancy Pelosi defended Representative Elijah Cummings, the House oversight chairman who was has recently been attacked by Trump. The president also went after Cummings’ Baltimore district as a “rat and rodent-infested mess.”
   “The president – this comes as no surprise – really doesn’t know what he’s talking about,” Pelosi said.
   She then took aim at Trump’s adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner. “But maybe you could ask his son-in-law, who’s a slumlord there if he wants to talk about rodent infestations,” Pelosi said.
   The Washington Post reported earlier this week that Kushner’s company owns more than a dozen apartment complexes in Baltimore, and they have been cited for hundreds of code violations -- including for mouse infestations.
   
   

   In 2017, Baltimore County officials revealed that apartments owned by the Kushner firm were responsible for more than 200 code violations, all accrued in the calendar year. Repairs were made only after the county threatened fines, local officials said, and even after warnings, violations on nine properties were not addressed, resulting in monetary sanctions.

   In an investigation by the New York Times and Pro Publica published earlier that year, tenants of Kushner properties reported mouse infestations, mould problems and maggots. A private investigator who looked into Kushner’s property management company, Westminster Management, described the managers as “slumlords.”
