 ZOMBIE ALERT! Energy Minister Angus Taylor has once again repeated a misleading claim on inheriting an "emissions deficit" from Labor. RMIT ABC Fact Check explains why it's misleading.

Energy Minister Angus Taylor says the Coalition inherited a 755 million tonne emissions "deficit" when it came to office, and that it had since been turned around by 1.1 billion tonnes. Fact Check finds that to be misleading.

THE MONSTROUS SELF-PITY OF HARRY AND MEGHAN

At the time we saw what " monstrous self-pity " was, and it's all that was heard from Andrew Bolt as nobody supported him.  Celebrities have recently been seen to fight back and despite the expense have won. The damage won't be to the Royals but the media.

OUR BIG RENEWABLES SPEND: NOT JUST POINTLESS AND PAINFUL, BUT UNINSPIRING

If Australians have spent 11 times the global average on renewables what's it to Andrew Bolt it's in the main private and not government spending and it largely to counter the price of electricity maintained by the government and power wholesalers.  Bolt's fretting about what his neighbours are doing what a wanker he is. The boom is in investment the side effect has been the lowering of emissions and the cost of electricity production. One wind turbine counters the emissions it creates in 6 months and has a life expectancy of emission-free energy production for 25 years at a production cost far less than coal. So if someone invests in renewables he's making a profit and if his source of energy is also renewables his cost of electricity is at an all-round PROFIT which cant be said for coal lover Bolt who claims that's uninspiring.
