Touting technology and innovation is a tactic being used to sound like you are doing something on climate change while kicking action on reducing emissions down the road. None of the technologies are close to being developed at a scale large enough to have a true impact on global warming, a process that would have to be coordinated among many countries on a vast global scale. We don’t have time to wait.
But hey, at least the fossil fuel industry is happily on board.

News Corp and Nine did not want to subsidise news service for competitors, AAP staff told 
 News Corp and Ch9 admit that public service and improved News distribution is none of their concern and the closure of AAP is simply to RESTRICT COMPETITION and cut the cost of RELIABLE and VERIFIED news.
Nine Radio, formerly Macquarie Media, cut its subscription to AAP last year. The News Corp-owned Sky News also cancelled its subscription in 2018.
 Is it any wonder News Corp has spent decades of effort lobbying to have the ABC neutered and/or shut down. So much so it's budget today is the equivalent of 1984. If that occurred and the ABC was gone the LNP would lose it's people's critic and gain the loyalty of its keystone PR donor Rupert Murdoch and the IPA. While Australians would lose it's most trusted news service.

One only has to look at Andrew Bolt's Blog Banners to realise he models himself on Trump's Tweets. Is really that dumb or simply trying to sound like the new- Presidential. I believe both. Proof positive he never achieved anything via merit. Judge Mordicai Bromberg was an excellent jurist when he described Bolt as a lazy and sloppy journalist and commentator who had no regard for the facts.

 What a load of bunkum the "economy" isn't in strife Capitalists and the system is profit is under threat because consumer attention has been altered in the market place. The media has a lot to answer for in creating panic. However, the capitalist system has been killing the weak and it's indicated in the negative metrics amplified and to be found in the indigenous, homeless, ill and others that are regarded marginal to the system needs. The Coronavirus is simply a part of life any cure will be patented and required to be paid for and that is the weakness that lies ahead...inequality.
