Thousands skip isolation as virus surge gains pace

Thousands of Victorians told to isolate to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are ignoring instructions and many are continuing to work because they cannot afford to miss a shift.

Victoria was Australia's most successful economic hot spots where people came to work. The pandemic changed that and now as far as the stimulus of work is concerned it's Australia's cold spot of uncertainty.
Unless individuals are personally and universally financially protected under support schemes anxiety will win out and the need to take care of one's self and family will win out. Even fines won't be a deterrent. This government, however, makes it extremely difficult for individuals in financial need to comply. (ODT)

''This has been evident in the contrast between The Daily Telegraph’s coverage of the Ruby Princess debacle (Coalition government in New South Wales) and the Herald Sun’s coverage of the hotel quarantine debacle (Labor government in Victoria).
My analysis of 464 articles in the Telegraph on the Ruby Princess showed the coverage was extensive, quoting many voices trenchantly critical of the way the government handled the case. However, the newspaper itself made no direct personal attack on Premier Gladys Berejiklian.
A similar analysis I undertook of 411 articles in the Herald Sun about hotel quarantine and subsequent second wave likewise showed extensive coverage quoting many voices trenchantly critical of the government. But there was an additional dimension: direct personal attacks on Daniel Andrews, which has become a speciality of Credlin’s.''

This time it will be different: Trump takes a second shot at daily briefings

With cases surging in key election battlegrounds Trump's advisers realised he needed to re-engage with the issue.

Without any medical experts, Trump is going it alone. No CDC, No Dr Fauci and No Dr Brix Trump isn't informing America he's turning the COVID-19 briefings into a televised rallying monologue. The most frequent phrase used "We are gunna"
According to Ch9 he was "Disciplined, succinct and fact-based are not words you would usually associate with a Donald Trump press conference.". Judge for yourself he was rambling repetitive factless and often false with facts. Politicizing the pandemic by not having a single expert on side. When asked why Trump said Dr Brix was "here out back" and Dr Fauci the most trusted expert in the US was simply "not invited". One might ask why Australia's MSM is supporting what the world witnessed as "good"?

During a coronavirus briefing, Donald Trump spoke without his top health officials, Dr Deborah Birx and Dr Anthony Fauci. The president stayed on message, encouraging Americans to wear masks despite his months-long resistance to covering his face in public to stop the spread of disease. He chose a racist term to refer to the coronavirus and repeated a few false or misleading claims about the national stockpile and testing.

Unplug The Trump Pandemic Freak Show
