Deadliest day yet: 19 die, 322 new COVID cases in Victoria

Victoria has 322 more confirmed coronavirus cases and 19 more people have succumbed to the illness. That came as esteemed Melbourne immunologist Professor Peter Doherty said he believes there’s an 80% chance we will have a vaccine in 12 months.

COVID Death lags the death we see today is due to the case spread of 750 2 weeks ago. If that's the case why is Ch9's AGE misleading us by declaring today the deadliest when it's, in fact, it's improving with half the spread of a fortnight ago. Is it simply a case of Bad fucking news sells? The Age says government reporting is inadequate.  They should look to their own first.

Terry McCrann on hydroxychloroquine now being listed as a poison by the Therapeutic Drugs Administration: "[It's the] most devilish poison that has ever been invented (albeit... it’s miraculously not a poison to... millions of people around the world who have been taking it for decades) just because it passed the lips of President Donald Trump." 

 From a "must-read" piece of writing in the Rolling Stone (above) to this  Bungy jump dive to man's bottomless cesspool of literary work the Herald -Sun . I suggest that scrotum head McCrann and whiskey faced Andrew Bolt both prove what they preach and start taking regular doses of Hydroxychloroquine themselves on the recommendation of their man Donald Trump. These two literary assholes deserve to be held criminally irresponsible along with News Corp, Fox News and their hero the American President.(ODT)

 In the privatised world that we have always predicted couldn't cope with emergencies such as this pandemic Bolt locks himself in a barn takes a scattergun and shoots but he doesn't hit anything. He rarely does at the best of times. "politicians are destroying Australia". Politicians haven't adversarial politics hasn't helped but politics in Capitalism has proven to be of little help. We are now suffering from the sins of our past

If Bolt's referring to Dan Andrews well Dan did the right thing when COVID first arrived but he was simply left with the wrong tools to address the problem. A privatised security and aged-care system that wasn't up to the task of preventing the spread of this virus. A system however that Andrew Bolt /the IPA and the LNP ensured everybody was up to the job. "Best value for money" was their song page back then.

We saw that they did much the same when Dan tried to professionalise and have the State incorporate the VFA to better manage our armoury against bushfires. They screamed the butts off to protect the voluntary system in place. One that started as many fires as they put out. So now they have actually ripped up that songbook complaining that Dan Andrews didn't regulate and control enough. Suddenly Bolt's been yelling 'overeach' and 'undereach' and swinging like an Antifa lefty blaming the current domino effect of the COVID spread in our privatised worlds of security and aged-care on under regulation on Dan Andrews when aged-care was the Federal LNP's Scott Morrison's domain.

The problem is what was once meant as a distraction from the LNP's involvement in privatising and deregulating everything and is no longer possible to hide Bolt has turned to all politicians are to blame for complicating an otherwise simple solution. His conservative cover is now there's been incompetence on all sides. Trump's Charlottesville escape "there's stupidity on both sides". However, Bolt has always had the solution but ignored and it's simple not complex. It's simple as he is and it doesn't need logistics, data, or experts to accomplish it. He waves his verbal wand and there it's fixed Trump couldn't have done it better. Firstly get rid of the "brutal bans" let people do what they want but mainly get back to work and simply focus on protecting the aged-care and susceptible. After all, COVID is just a mild flu. Wee isn't that what Trump advised said he's done?  He's now the world leader of COVID death and cases the fix was as simple as lifting those brutal bans.

Sweden tried had 6000 deaths and an economic downturn, Norway and Denmark had the brutal bans and had 600 and 200 deaths and less of an economic downturn, But then Bolt ignores that.

Andrew Bolt's effort to share the blame with all politicians was blown out of the water today with the Royal Commission pointed to the Commonwealth Dept health and the regulator of Private Aged -Care facilities as the epicentre of both the viruses spread and deaths. That for years efforts were allowed to concentrate on cheaper and less adequate trained labour allowing our facilities to be graded as the worlds worst practice rather than the best.
Bolt misguided attack on Dan Andrews isn't disguised by now saying "all" politicians are to blame. From Abbott to Morrison the aged-care sector has been allowed to languish incapable of dealing with a pandemic.
Bolt further misdirection is his insistence that COVID-19 is only a danger to the aged and those with a predisposition to other conditions which research has found is not the case. His efforts to disguise the solution to the virus as simple are criminally irresponsible and need to be reported to the APC if not other appropriate bodies. News Corp is the last place to listen to and Sky News to watch if you want advice.
