NEVER MIND IF DANIEL ANDREWS IS A LIAR. JUST LOOK AT THE DEAD
COLUMN Every day I watch Daniel Andrews give his virus press conference – more than 100 now – and I feel sick. I hear him drone through that day’s statistics and say his “thoughts and prayers” are with the dead. How can this man still be Premier? How can he sound so sure of himself and his Rules when he’s got the blood of 791 people on his hands?
Well there is some visibly found truth in the Blot Column today. The column is all about Blot himself an how he alone feels and not about how we feel. It's a personal whinge on how we make him feel sick. Keep it up Victoria I say he just might piss off. His language totally isolates him from you me the people of Victoria. He lives in isolation. In the fictitious Nation State of Andre Bolt where he would be king if it weren't for Dan. Imagine what it's like sharing life with someone like that.
In contrast Dan Andrews is our elected Premier who speaks of 'problem solving an emergency of more than necessary deaths and provides with a daily report on the progress of that effort. The goal is to achieve a 14 day average of less than 5 cases. A reasoned statistic recommended by a cast of experts chosen to lead us to that goal. This came about because Andrews cares about the death rate a figure that we have seen Andrew Bolt flip flop about for months. Some days its been trivial today it's tragic. His goal is whatever it takes to make Dan Andrews look bad.
James Murdoch and Kevin Rudd are perfectly right in saying Murdoch Media's editorial and principle goals are to spread disinformation about any efforts to put the public good above private interest. The Murdoch business model and monopoly is built on it. So we are implored urgently and with fake passion by Bolt to rebel against our elected Premier because Andrew Bolt feels sick today. Sick because he can't easily find a mutinous majority group of significant others to defy the law for him. Bolt's never going to do anything himself he's not and never has been an action man so he's doing his best to incite others. Bolt has always lived life in the safety of the bleachers.
Despite the fact that he is positioned in our social system structured to influence from the top down he can't get traction. Bolt has access to the dominant resource of Murdoch Media yet he's a failure. Never the less they remain the reason why James Murdoch split from his father and Kevin Rudd is calling for a Royal Commission into Murdoch Media's monopoly of disinformation in Victoria and Australia
CORONAVOIRUS: VICTORIA BLOWS TARGET FOR END OF LOCKDOWN
Another 15 news infections in Victoria today. That makes it impossible to meet the Andrews Government's arbitrary target for ending Melbourne's lockdown by October 19 - an average of five cases a day over the fortnight. The most important number is actually deaths - and that is down to zero. So drop the target.
What causes death? Infection, and what do we know Covid it's a tsunami in waiting when it comes to infectious spread even those that have had it once can get it again. So Covid hasn't surrendered death as Bolt seems to suggest nor have we succeeded preventing its spread. Not to an arbitrary statistic as Bolt suggests but to a probability that if Bolt gets Covid he won't spread it to anyone. A probability applicable to us all. That is achieved when the spreadable rate is less than One or on average 5 cases daily over 14 days.
Bolt logic on the other hand is the way he feels. I's wiser and better than the science of statistical probabilities
With a 14 day rolling average of 345per 100k the Dutch now want stricter rules. Research last week showed 66 per cent of people thought the government should introduce tougher measures, compared with 37 per cent in September. The whole of the EU is in fact paying attention to Dan Andrews
Merkel and mayors from Germany's 11 largest cities agreed on Friday to adopt stricter measures if infections exceed a threshold of 50 cases per 100,000 population in a week.
ABC HIDES THE PELL NEWS THAT DOESN'T FIT

VIRUS MAKES ALBO THINK A TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT IS JUST A GOOD START
COLUMN So there I was last Thursday, presenting a good episode of my show on Sky News when Anthony Albanese barged in. Bang. Half my audience gone. But they should have stayed to watch Labor's leader in such denial about what the virus has done to our economy. He should not see a trillion-dollar debt and say: hey, let’s spend even more!
