Managing China's
rise, and its interplay with American and allied military and economic
power, is not a juvenile game for domestic political advantage. The

Bolt led a chorus against Yassmin a far far more intelligent 20+ year old than he ever was and helped drive her out of the country. She had in her short life done more with hers than Bolt could claim to have done with his in 35 years in media. So accusing Carlton of misogynistic repetition is just noise from someone who really hasn't a history to be proud of. Mike Carlton knows who he is and Australians do to. He retired voluntarily when he saw the sad state the media was in. The State of Murdoch with puppets like Bolt that Murdoch seems to hang on to along with Peta, Rowan, Alan, Chris, what have they all in common? If you can't see turn to Mike Carlton yes he's left of Paul Kelly in his enthusiasm and disrepect.

Every day I watch Daniel Andrews give his virus press conference – more
than 100 now – and I feel sick. I hear him drone through that day’s
statistics and say his “thoughts and prayers” are with the dead. How can
this man still be Premier? How can he sound so sure of himself and his
Rules when he’s got the blood of 791 people on his hands?
Well there is some visibly found truth in the Blot Column today. The column is all about Blot himself an how he alone feels and not about how we feel. It's a personal whinge on how we make him feel sick. Keep it up Victoria I say he just might piss off. His language totally isolates him from you me the people of Victoria. He lives in isolation. In the fictitious Nation State of Andre Bolt where he would be king if it weren't for Dan. Imagine what it's like sharing life with someone like that.
In contrast Dan Andrews is our elected Premier who speaks of 'problem solving an emergency of more than necessary deaths and provides with a daily report on the progress of that effort. The goal is to achieve a 14 day average of less than 5 cases. A reasoned statistic recommended by a cast of experts chosen to lead us to that goal. This came about because Andrews cares about the death rate a figure that we have seen Andrew Bolt flip flop about for months. Some days its been trivial today it's tragic. His goal is whatever it takes to make Dan Andrews look bad.

CORONAVOIRUS: VICTORIA BLOWS TARGET FOR END OF LOCKDOWN
Another 15 news infections in Victoria today. That makes it
impossible to meet the Andrews Government's arbitrary target for ending
Melbourne's lockdown by October 19 - an average of five cases a day
over the fortnight. The most important number is actually deaths - and
that is down to zero. So drop the target.
What causes death? Infection, and what do we know Covid it's a tsunami in waiting when it comes to infectious spread even those that have had it once can get it again. So Covid hasn't surrendered death as Bolt seems to suggest nor have we succeeded preventing its spread. Not to an arbitrary statistic as Bolt suggests but to a probability that if Bolt gets Covid he won't spread it to anyone. A probability applicable to us all. That is achieved when the spreadable rate is less than One or on average 5 cases daily over 14 days.
Bolt logic on the other hand is the way he feels. I's wiser and better than the science of statistical probabilities

Morrison hasn't moved on from "on the water matters" and " Matter of National Security" That is the Morrison LNP Government other than the of course Abbott's blame game. They can fight as they have the help of the IPA and Murdoch but they can't and don't govern as they have no plan. As a consequence their eye is firmly fixed on Trump (ODT)
Rejecting the premise or the characterisation of the question points to trickiness and deceit. Taking the time to provide an explanation is much more open and a discussion around why the question was inane, irrelevant or pointless demonstrates there is nothing to hide. While we have seen traces of real leadership and communication during the current pandemic period, at this stage it is certainly too soon to be able to call most of our political ‘leaders’ authentic leaders and communicators. We have an opportunity to embed a ‘new normal’ in political and business life into the future — our future leaders need to answer the question rather than reject or deflect them. Who knows, they might engender trust if they do.
A tale of two nations: Australia where our state governments have been strict on public health; and the UK which has been a shambles and where there’s a massive second wave brewing. Meanwhile, Murdoch and Morrison trying to thug Labor premiers into ignoring their medical advisors.
