Fighting Fake News with REAL 23/4/22; Team ALP vTeam LNP; Deves; Frydenberg; China; Liberals abandoning the Party;

Notwithstanding The Australian’s comical attempts to pin the Solomon Islands incursion by China on Labor, which is not in government, Albo hitting the sack might be a good thing for the challengers.

Anthony Albanese going down with Covid is already playing well for Labor. Scott Morrison has few votes to gain by hammering a sick guy. And it leaves a team versus team match-up rather than man versus man. What have we here?

Deputy PM: Richard Marles or Barnaby Joyce? Foreign Affairs: Penny Wong or Marise Payne? Education: Alan Tudge or Tanya Plibersek? NDIS: Lynda Reynolds or Bill Shorten? Aged Care: Richard Colbeck or Mark Butler. Arts: Paul Fletcher or Tony Burke? Attorney-General: Mark Dreyfus or Michaelia Cash? Energy: Chris Bowen or Angus Taylor?

Gee, tough choices … if you are related by blood … or a Murdoch editor. Here’s today’s Goebbelsian offering:

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been staunch in his defence of Liberal candidate for Warringah, Katherine Deves, despite her offensive online comments.

"Blessed"his kids aren't trans? His bullshit deflection to the NDIS his effort to not apologise failed after 48 hours. However his even worse mistake to harvest the extremist votes maybe even more revealing of his faith, character and himself. Morrison was ready to defend himself and apologise but then continue to support Katherine Deves who is explicitly worse.

How two faced is this guy? Well Towke knows and history showed us the character of this mother decades ago and it's also full of NDAs. He wishes he could just wand the current moment away and have it be declared and "On the water matter" a term he invented not that long ago. Or delayed like the court order he has to revea lthe texts between he and his bestie QAnon mates.

Whatever one’s interpretation of his “blessed” remark, it is extraordinary that Morrison would deal with that immediately but hang onto and encourage a candidate whose comments were a hundred times more offensive.

No matter what Scott Morrison says, the Liberal Party’s decision on Katherine Deves had nothing to do with cancel culture. By endorsing her as a candidate, the party is telling the community its values align with hers.

PM’s ‘Deve-ious’ tactics produce another failed character test

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg hands down last month’s budget. It is forecasting the third and fourth largest budget deficits in Australian fiscal history.

Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has suffered a blow in a potentially close election campaign, with the ballot draw for Kooyong putting him seventh while his challenger is listed first.

The flag pole of the Australian Parliament is seen behind the roofs of the Chinese Embassy in Canberra,

Morrison is doing a lot of whining and shedding of crocodile tears about "fairness in our Democracy" just as Abbott did against the ABC. Morrison is accusing the ALP of being anti-Aussie. “Why aren’t they supporting us” and stopping asking those hard to answer questions all the time? Abbott banned MPs from the ABC and the LNP has defunded them by a $1bn over the past decade. “We are the Government and we should be supported” Morrison like Abbott demands flag-waving, not questions. ”  So yes, Morrison is whining and  crying loudly that nobody loves his government for being anti-China but it's not his fault when it seems it is and has been the LNPs all along.

1) Abbott closed down Radio Australia and created a vacuum in the Pacific Region. He cancelled Aussie culture. We were the "Heartbeat" of the Pacific for over 75 years. Everyone listened to Australia.

2) Abbott however was far more interested in Europe War Memorials,  the Monarchy, Shirtfronting Putin and sending troops to Ukraine, being a Friend of China after all was a political and economic advantage. The FTA was a prize stolen from the ALP's hard work and needed cultivation.

3) However Murdoch Media were kicked out of China and as a consequence were rubbing them the wrong way and China asked the Abbott government to intervene but they ignored them as Murdoch was  essential to the LNP

4) Morrison and Dutton have always known “impressing Murdoch in Australian politics was essential”. Far more important than being friends of China’s and so they set out to impress as neither were really Murdoch’s picks as leaders. 5G, Uyghur and trade always run second to staying ahead in domestic politics, because every next election without Murdoch and the LNP would be dead in the water. It’s Murdoch that made Morrison's Miracle happen.

As the Coalition campaign seeks to revive the talking point that Labor always “takes China’s side”, Scott Morrison implored reporters to “just look at the record”. So we did just that and found the claims by the prime minister and his senior ministers are either factually inaccurate, misleading, or lack context.

Rob Baillieu: “If these are the moderates, who the hell are the conservatives?”

While the media are telling us the ALP are in chaos Liberals of all persuasions are abandoning the Party. The Party that Scott Morrison is destroying.

The son of former Victorian Liberal Premier Ted Baillieu says the party has abandoned its small ‘l’ liberal values and that independents offer a vision for the future, not the past.

My father was Liberal premier, but I can’t support his party
