Government agrees to anti-corruption agency: “We’re just looking for a mate to run it”

Like QAnon, Wacco, and Jones Town Morrison has the blind faith of a cult leader that allows him to say whatever he wants without evidence or fact as long as it convinces us to join God's side. Morrison you see he's part of the "elect" and won't be judged. "Faith is all you need. Yes, any metaphor like " the ALP eats babies" is fair given the goal that Morrison needs to achieve. Morrison is the pastor for the Ages unfortunately it's a return to the Dark Ages and away from curiosity, humanity and Enlightenment.

Scott Morrison has deserted Queensland flood victims, refusing to co-fund our $741million flood recovery package. This package would have helped thousands of Queenslanders rebuild their lives. The Prime Minister’s response: that’s not my problem.

Whether anyone seriously believes ScoMo’s claims of copping criticism for helping flood victims, this ridiculous sideshow manoeuvre by the PM can hardly be considered a credible excuse for the leader of a nation to refuse help to people in a catastrophe. Regardless, it should only be viewed with disgust and may well seal his fate. Because, hopefully, it will not only be the victims of floods, or the victims of bushfires who remember this Prime Minister’s callous disregard for his fellow Australians but voters nationwide.

Trade Minister Dan Tehan and Indian counterpart Piyush Goyal during earlier negotiations on an interim free-trade deal.

The undelivered promise hits the front pages to brighten Morrison's day. We saw the del we did with Adani the Australian Government had to finance it as no banks would. We saw the trade done during the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Australian companies still haven't been paid. India has 3000 years of trade experience and was once 33% of all trade on the planet until the British Empire brought that undone and went almost bankrupt in it's efforts so much so it turned to slave and opium trading to save itself.

The question not asked or delivered is what has the LNP sacrificed to get this deal signed before this election. A deal that's been negotiated on for the past decade and not been sealed until now? A deal that's all promises between a coal exporter and a coal importer and a friend of Russia's one of 4 nations not to have signed or agreed to any emmissions targets by the rest of the planet. Yes' India are an extremely transactional nation happy not to sanction Russia and buy cheap oil from them in exchange and we hypocritically and two faced anti- Russian chest beaters  don't mind.

A Coal Exporters dream no doubt but the planet's nightmare

Trade

“In India, we have a billion people going to buy their first car, a billion people looking to be first home owners, a billion people looking to travel outside the country, probably for the first time.”

" Mr Goyal signalled no change in India’s controversial policy of continuing to trade with Russia as usual, despite Moscow’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. Delhi is dependent on Moscow for energy and weapons."

The Morrison government has said that India’s position is not an issue for Australia.

Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal predicted  two-way trade would double in five years and that the deal with Australia would be expanded.

What Australia should do but won't  it's  "SELF_SERVING LOOPHOLES"

Thirdly, Australia should join with other countries to dial up sanctions on Russia. Western sanctions still have too many self-serving loopholes, and Russia will continue to weather the storm without tougher measures. Australia should also pressure those countries that have been soft on Russia — not only China but huge democracies like India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

A full energy ban against Russia is now unstoppable

Atrocities such as those being committed against civilians in Ukraine should never go unpunished.

But Morrison won't stop India

Executions, torture: Australia must push to hold Russia to account

Carlton star Eddie Betts says he was subjected to racial abuse throughout his entire AFL career.

Andrew Bolt's "Good Indigenous Aussie" speaks out and says what he really felt when Bolt was racially villifying Goodes and praising Betts. Bolt was sooo wrong!! Good on ya Eddie!!

Former Carlton and Adelaide player Eddie Betts says he was racially abused his entire career but feared speaking up for years, worried he’d suffer the same fate as Sydney great Adam Goodes.

‘Drowning inside’: Betts feared same fate as Goodes if he called out racial abuse earlier

RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR

Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his cabinet are considering expelling Russian diplomats from Canberra.

There was never a problem ousting Chinese from University Research Departments and other positions the LNP so desired, Morrison and Dutton were all over calling Chinese spies no matter the risk to Australians in China and Australians were arrested as these two upped the political rhetoric.

However when it comes to China it appears the Government has a tin ear and has never stopped negative reporting in the media for over a decade. They currently beat up negative News when and wherever they can. That's the LNP government post Abbott who began to change but dramatically with the arrival of Morrison. None of the research done on India, referred to here, even made it to the Media how odd or was that intended. It really addresses the notion of free speech and our mainstream media.

A group of academics has quit the Australia India Institute at Melbourne University, citing concerns for academic freedom and alleging interference by the Indian High Commission.

A letter signed by 13 affiliated fellows sent to vice-chancellor Duncan Maskell on March 29 alleges the Indian High Commissioner to Australia intervened in the institute’s activities, including repeated instances where research or views unflattering to India were blanked.

One of the 13 signatories, who spoke to The Age on condition of anonymity, revealed that this was a 2019 talk titled “Keywords for India: Violence”, which discussed violence by Hindu nationalist groups against Muslims.

The 2020 letter expressed hope that the institute’s future would be centred on “the values of academic freedom, independence, impartiality, inclusiveness, quality, diversity and respect for scholarly dissent”. The academics argued this was important in light of the Indian government’s use of “sedition laws to curtail freedom of speech” and its incarceration of academics, journalists and social workers “with little evidence, due process or access to bail”.
