  Amazing Matthew Guy doesn't want the ALP doing what the Denis Napthine's LNP did before they lost the election in 2014 that put the Andrews ALP in power.  Does anybody for a moment believe Crikey accused Murdoch of anything greater than they have been in America? Chris Stirewalt 11 years as ex-political editor of Fox News has written a book on what they have done.
 Australia's laws simply allow for this Trump like action by the rich and powerful which in effect will be heard and publicized globally as a warning shot across the bows of their other would be critics. It's what Trump has done with the law in the US for years. The action is actually an attempted investment, used by grifters to protect themselves. Because their use of money this way silences the would be rush of other whistle blowers coming forward and who might find it too expensive to defend themselves against wealth like this. The Murdoch's have been accused of not just being America's bullhorn for Trump's corporate government but "the government" itself. They have been accused of being Trump's greatest influencers, having him doing their bidding against the nation's and global best interest in favor of their own. Australia is their greatest loss and needs a lesson and Crikey is it.
