Here’s something you don’t see reported in the WEST and certainly not in Australia. The Chinese are “fucking happy”

On average, nearly three in four (73%) adults across 32 markets describe themselves as happy, according to the results of a new Ipsos survey. Of all the markets surveyed, those with the highest proportions of happy citizens are China (mainland – 91%), Saudi Arabia (86%), and the Netherlands (85%).

This year’s increase in the global level of happiness is driven by Latin American countries, many of which show remarkable year-over-year increases, including Colombia (+26 percentage points), Argentina (+26), Brazil (+20), and Peru (+18). Conversely, many Western countries post declines in year-over-year reported happiness: Great Britain (-13 percentage points), Poland (-7), Canada (-6), Belgium (-5), Germany (-5), and former happiness champion Australia (-5).

The South Australian District Court has dealt a fatal blow to public sector whistleblowing, basically making it impossible for anyone to safely blow the whistle. Rex Patrick explains the public interest travesty.

The Liberals are licking their wounds and are trying to figure out what went wrong after unexpectedly losing the Aston federal by-election, despite rising living costs.

If Newspoll shows a "plunge" in support why is it all our mainstream press have called the recent drubbing in elections of the LNP a "neck and neck" race? It makes them less sellers of news than would be very failed influencers.
Given the the LNP finds itself currently lower than the bottom of an outhouse dunny insn't it time they and their donors dumped Murdoch Costello and Stokes and turned to the ABC and presented Australia with real political arguments. Arguments representing those people, not corporations, that voted for them in the first place. Money doesn't seem to be the major winners in this race unless of course you analyse who pays and who doesn't pay their fair share of tax. Then the LNP become the grifter's necessary distraction culture puppets like those Murdoch employs on Sky News. A distraction to take the attention away from economic issues. It hasn't been working but will the ALP correct the direction?
