Punching Down has always been Racism disguised and excused as “Just Joking” CPAC 2023 had a house full of ugly Australians applauding Punching Down with two Uncle Toms leading on their cheering.

“Each of us has a choice. You’re with the nasties voting no, or you believe Australia can be better and vote yes.”

This weekend witnessed the cheering and Punching Down of Australian Aborigines the First Nation Peoples on whose land this infant nation was built. We saw a 65000 year culture being ridiculed and told they shouldn't have their own language, culture. rituals  or religion because in the eyes of these white Australian loyalists it has dragged them down. Much of what was being embarrassingly vocalised was later excused as "Just Joking" The mob at the CPAC Festival represented some of the most ugliest of Australians putting on their showcase of what they thought and who we really are to the rest of the world all under America's Trumpist CPAC banner

Neville Green great author and pioneer researcher of 'The Forrest River massacre' at Oombulgurri (far north Kimberley) in 1926 brought these standard Kimberley police neck chains into my ex work one day. (Wyndham neck chains were fixed by a blacksmith with 'split links' that could only be removed with the prisoners head on an anvil.) A policeman gave them to Neville apparently they were left in a Cave ( probably to hide them) - Neville used to teach at Oombulgurri in the 1960s.
I put one on just to see what they were like - they were so heavy, uncomfortable and utterly disgusting. The key comes out and then they are permanently affixed to the neck. Authorities would claim neck chaining was Better 'as it left their hands free.' I can't imagine what the Kimberley Aboriginal prisoners had to deal with when these were hot for the enormous (anything from 50 km to 200km to 400 km) walks to prison? They made the Aboriginal staff ill - I never want to see them again.

Big four

It’s been happening for decades and all sides of politics have a hand in how public servants became usurped by global consulting firms, diminishing the public service in the process. Who are these firms that hold so much influence over our governments and how do we keep them accountable? asks Lachlan Guselli.
