Will Israeli Zionists raise the Australian flag next to their's in Palestine? What relevance will the ICJ decision in 2024 have for the teaching of Australia's Colonial history, Our Frontier Wars, and The Killing for Country that took place in our not so glorious past?
Gallipoli is one of the toughest grounds to play in the world. They don’t call it ‘The Kokoda Track’ for nothing.

![Treasurer Jim Chalmers with prime minister Anthony Albanese. ‘Labor’s messaging that the [stage-three tax] cuts have had to be reduced because of the broader economic danger they pose to already-tense households has the powerful political benefit of being true,’ writes Van Badham.](https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/688787388cd5e3996a1c4aa7b8f6e11d1657fb7d/0_40_4504_2703/master/4504.jpg?width=480&dpr=1&s=none)
We lived through 13 years of LNP lies for no practical reason but votes. We witnessed The Herald Sun and the Weekend Australian’s vulgar headlines about deceit amplifying the shrill of the LNP all while they saw middle and lower Australia suffer. When the LNP lied and they did so often for 13 years Murdoch was either silent or everything was cool.
We have just seen a government do what a government is elected to do respond to a dramatic change of circumstances. Circumstances we have all lived and are currently experiencing in REAL TIME and we have seen our government do. Not arbitrarily but in conjunction with a wide range of expert advice.
Our ALP government, unlike the LNP, was prepared to revise and make adjustments to the LNP’s obscene vote-bait promise of trying to attract votes. They are still doing little more than playing politics while the ALP is doing what we asked of them manage the place.
Anyone wishing to make hay of Albanese’s ‘broken promise’ deserves to be asked to just whom in the electorate this promise was made
