little tax in Australia. It’s a scam that has hit a major hurdle as Facebook issued a statement on the 29th of February in effect saying they will no longer be stood over by the Australian government, who are doing it on behalf of the Murdoch’s and old media companies, and will stop paying Australian media companies this year. The scam works like this:

The bigger the political and corporate duopoly becomes, the more they seem to have in common, and the more we feel it towering over us. A shadow has been cast for some time now, and we have felt its cold shade since the pandemic. With no will to change this from a Labor government, a hopelessness has grown, and a trend in anger towards the supermarket giants has spiked, rivalling their profit forecasts. The longer duopolies are protected by our major parties, the longer the shadow they both will cast over us. And if the population doesn’t choose an alternative to the major party status quo that protects the corporate profit status quo, unmitigated end stage enshittification from industry and government duopolies will be all that remains.

U.S. Endorses Pakistan’s Sham Election
In a conversation
in 2020 with Princeton Professor Emeritus Richard Falk, he told me that
historically, colonized nations that have won the legitimacy war have
always won their freedom.
Palestine is unlikely to be the exception. The Gaza war, however, is confronting the world with an unprecedented challenge, specifically to governments’ relationship with international law and their obligations to international institutions, such as the United Nations, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Criminal Court (ICC), and others.
“The government is not legitimate unless it is carried on with the consent of the governed,” English philosopher John Locke said in the 17th century. This is not a mere theory, and it will always be applicable.
Consent, however, does not always reflect itself in the form of transparent and democratic elections. Legitimacy and loyalty to governments can be expressed in other ways as well. Those who do not respect this maxim could easily find themselves embroiled in political upheavals and violent rebellions resulting from popular dissent.

Israeli forces ‘likely’ shot machinegun at reporters after shelling them
On October 13, an Israeli tank crew fired shells at a clearly marked group of journalists near the Lebanese border, killing one Reuters reporter and injuring six others, including two Al Jazeera reporters.
An analysis by the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), commissioned by Reuters, has found that the journalists were also targeted with machineguns, likely fired by the same Israeli forces.
“It is considered a likely scenario that a Merkava tank, after firing two tank rounds, also used its machine gun against the location of the journalists,” TNO’s report said.
“The latter cannot be concluded with certainty as the direction and exact distance of [the machinegun] fire could not be established.”
AFP Global News Director Phil Chetwynd, reacting to the finding, said: “If reports of sustained machine gun fire are confirmed, this would add more weight to the theory this was a targeted and deliberate attack.”
Israel’s war on Gaza live: Israel ‘consistently, groundlessly’ blocked aid
Israel has “consistently and groundlessly” blocked aid operations for Gaza even as the enclave falls deeper into famine, according to a new report based on interviews with government officials, humanitarian workers, and NGO staff.
Calls to allow more aid into the Gaza Strip grow louder as health officials report 20 people in total have now died from malnutrition and dehydration.
