These Liberal supporters just can't get it together can they inside or outside of the party. Bolt's complaint wont be heard as he has a habit of crying Wolf whenever he has the chance. The best Bolt's UPDATE provides is a declaration that Prof Triggs is lying evidence none other than Brandis's Department Secretary Chris Moriatis backed by Brandis himself. Given the nature of the lie the promise of the offer of another government job if she resigned seems like a bribe.
Brandis doesn't deny the offer of a job to Triggs but not the condition of resignation. Sorry it makes no sense. Doesn't a job offer imply a resignation from the status quo? Or was the job offer because of a job thought well done to be taken up after her current term ended? Brandis and his messenger Moriatis seem to have been caught out given Craig Laundy back bencher raised concerns about his Government's treatment of Triggs. Mr Laundy told colleagues he was just echoing the concerns of people in his electorate. This is something Bolt's narrative has omitted. I guess the best question to ask who stood to gain by Professor Trigg's resignation?

Where there's smoke there's fire and unless all journalists are like News Corp and Bolt we the public will try to garner some sense from the rest. Bolt has the habit of calling 97% of the profession heretics including the APC the profession's representative body. Of the remaining 3% Bolt is one of the few brought before the courts and called out for his unprofessional conduct more than once. That alone says something about the man. On the advice of his Lawyers he's apologised quite a few times as well unreported.
Now he's crying foul and declaring Abbott a victim the very thing that upsets him when Muslims without media backing feel hard done by. In one breathe Bolt uses this as an argument against Muslims but in the same breath one for Abbott.Why didn't Abbott call out the truth that Muslims don't get the publicity they deserve for their support? It doesn't suit his politics.

In the meantime there is a real war erupting in the administration of the Liberal Party demanding the resignation of the president Peta Credlin's husband Brian. It's about the blocking and restricted communication within the party. Bolt certainly is not the man to make mention of it is he.
It's a pity that as a professional journalist Bolt doesn't doesn't hit spell check. It's as important as politicians "calling them out"
Anyway Widodo it seems has more diplomatic skills than Tony Abbott no matter what the circumstance. The press on the other hand do what the press do. If true to their craft reporters look for the the truth with a critical eye. If they are just commentators working for the private press like Bolt they operate in the best interests of their publishers or in his case corporate owners. If working for the ABC one would report Widodo's request coupled with the fact of what Abbott said in the circumstance. In addition that some conservative press were reporting it as just another "beat up"trying brush Abbott's lack of tact under the carpet.
We all haven't any doubt the reporters get things wrong we know they do. Commentators are even worse as some have a vested interest in what they do and say. Take Andrew Bolt's choice of words commenting on a singular event.

What is Bolt doing here initially he is commenting on reporting and not on any scientific statement or the science.
He tries to be authoritative by dragging a descriptive paragraph out of context about what has been a historical belief to date. What he omits is latest predictions given the data & scientific research. That in future things will get worse. It's what the paper Bolt is quoting from actually says. Is there any reason for this purposeful omitting?
Then Bolt swings back to Marcia and the reporting of it which has little or nothing to do with any research.We have Bolt arguing that the history and reporting of weather events is all over the shop. The reporting of singular events or even the reporting of research is not and has nothing to do with the research and the work of climate science itself. Bolt is simply stating the obvious. That people like himself can't be trusted.
The closest thing to truth we have lies with the 97% of peer - reviewed scientific experts in the field the largest and most objective body of reasoned thinkers on the planet about the subject.
Wow style before content is the message Bolt is putting out here from the bleachers. Be more like high school debaters . The Liberal party MP's need to learn how to get their points across rather than the points themselves. It's a matter of technique. They need to look like Bolt. Watch how he comes across on the Bolt Report false and plastic. Remember the time he tried to call someone out and got so befuddled in the calling out that he wound up in the solipsist argument that history only began from when he was born. Solipsism is the belief your the only person in existence. Bolt lives his life that way.
Nothing was as bad as the Qld election to remind us how unwanted Abbott was. Is this the litmus that tells us Abbott has changed been more consultative and collegiate and this government is now historically the best we have ever seen as he promised?
