Why is the interest cut "good for Terry"and bad news for us? "Dumping Labours madness" has helped? Is McCrann an economist is if he is he is as clear as mud. Bolt offers bugger all to clarify what's being said here.
Fact Wayne Swann was during the GFC voted Internationally as the worlds best treasurer and Australia was always at the top of the world's best managed economy lists. This can't be said of Hockey and the current government. Fact ,two noble Prize winning economists Stiglitz and Tirole have both said publicly that Australia's austerity policies are the road to recession to hell in a handbag. Demand will nose dive and along with it revenue. However our government has a tin ear. Abbott's sole aim is to lower the cost of labour at the expense of revenue and cut spending to welfare programs. As a consequence he has doubled the deficit. It's not 175% of GDP like Greece as he would like to have us believe because of Labour . It's in no way an emergency. Consequently he can declare a war to the tune of 1/2 billion a year and spend $630 mill on NS. Fact Abbott says we are open for business in the same breathe as declaring and crying emergency. Is this the best way to attract investors? He should watch pitching on the Dragon's Den.
A secretive trade agreement is underway to sell our economy to transnational corporations who according to Harvey Norman boss pay little or no tax here putting Australian companies at a disadvantage. Basically Abbott's selling the the country to foreign corporations.
The immediate interest cut will exacerbate the housing bubble people will buy property on the backs of mortgages they can ill afford rates will go up and their affordability to pay will go down to bankruptcy levels and foreclosure. The shit will hit the fan people will pay and Abbott will try to blame labour. It seems a cycle of loss for the ordinary Joe
Why does Bolt always raise the spectre of Gillard like Banquo's ghost to explain Abbott's insanity. Has he run out of excuses for Abbott's folly that he has dig and scrape history to excuse his personal patron who failed in his promise to get rid of Section 18 and exonerate Bolt. Bolt raising Gillard as a yardstick to compare Abbott with just makes us remember what a good negotiator she in fact was when it came to passing bills and just what a dud Abbott is in the eyes of the electorate. If one follows Bolt's link here we see a very relaxed an articulate Gillard addressing an audience and making perfect sense quite the opposite of Abbott.
Gillard was brought to task back then by the ACB as well but not to the extent Abbott was. He recreated royalist titles and then appeared to ingratiate himself with the monarchy by awarding one to them. In other words he appeared to be in Australian terms a 'suck'. Why is it that Gillard's nomination of Tendulkar wan't as universally shocking is more to the point.
An aside why is the expression "let's go Dutch" always appear as mean spirited un sharing?

The issue was racial and not just an issue of language. Further racism comes from the top down and not in reverse it's what had you convicted of racism. But you were also referred to being a liar. Take for example News. com a Murdoch owned online provider of unbalanced comment and see what they have to say shall we. That's how the message gets past the gatekeepers with cunning and stealth. You see Bolt is the wolf in sheep's clothing as is all of Murdoch media and anything they have to report as fair and balanced news. Being a sneaky biased whinging is the fair thing to do isn't it Andrew Bolt and your so good at it..
Questions applied years apart with circumstances and the public mood entirely different in this clip should have been the same and remain so at all National Press Club addresses through history. Sorry that's about as idiotic as Abbott's reasons for being the best to lead the government. He has little respect for anybody else's abilities. Anyway the Federal Party should take heart from the fact that other parties including Libs certainly don't believe in the Abbott line that parties don't choose their leaders in government the electorate does.
Change our policies and become more like Labour. Steal ideas wherever we can as we have none of our own. Acknowledge Climate Change and be nicer. Do whatever it takes is the advice coming from the man who initiated the Chldren Overboard Lie Peter Reith
Basically Abbott has a hostile public who he's stared down and said F@#k you I'm not going sack me in 18 mths if you dare. He as a hostile Senate who he's said F@#k you my way or no way and now he has a hostile party to which he has said F@#K you. You couldn't run a chook raffle so just try to get rid of me if you can.
