Does it surprise that Bolt is an admirer of Hanson the leader of Australia's first racist Party One Nation? John Howard stole her policies with the Tampa and Abbott had her thrown in jail.
Could we expect anything other than a'very good' verdict from Bolt of Abbott's press club speech.What was said that Abbott hasn't said countless times before? Absolutely nothing and if no major changes can be expected why yet again are we to expect major changes from the man. Bolt failed to point out the absence of major cabinet ministers who knew that it was to be a safe no suprises event.
What Bolt doesn't address is the fact that it's Abbott's policies that the Australian public don't agree with. The austerity packages that have been criticised from the gecko that are a total contradiction to Abbott's pre-election promises. Policies that will impact harshly on the poor and drive demand down. Why should a program of this sort increase demand. It wont. It will drive unemployment up leave cash idle in the banks doing nothing for the deficit. Abbott like Newman will advocate the sale of more assetts to his 1% mates. Who cares if Abbott stays he is after all Labour's best assett.

Bolt's cry for Israel never mentions the fact that Netanyahu is trying pass bills through the Israeli parliament effectively making Israel a legal apartheid state. It has been one informally but he now wants it in law making 20% of it's citizens second class.

However I'll capitulate and agree with you Bolt keep Abbott as leader as he's the opposition's best asset. As for Bolt's column and his remember whens in todays Rupert Rag , remember when journalism was an informative analysis and not just an advertorial
