Yes there are extremists that happen to be Muslim nobody disagrees. In Syria with the support of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the US they are fighting for freedom from Assaad. In Iraq they are by and large fighting for Sunni land rights and against what they see and have recently experienced Shiia repression and reprisal. Their focus was largely domestic until the coalition was reformed. Then they began to encourage Sunni's the world over to show their rage by committing violent acts of civil disobedience not an Islamic revolution. Yes these extremists supported any act of any nut case any act whatsoever as their own or inspired by them. They got the media support and attention they wanted from the Boltsters who took on themselves to use fear mongering for the fight for domestic votes. The Scott Morrison's fight for votes inspired after the Cronulla riots.
Domestic violence against women since Abbott has been in power has seen the death of over 3000 women. There has in that time been 2 terrorist deaths. However this government lead by the Abbott the Minister for Women has thrown $650mill at terror for votes. Can you imagine if that money had been spent on real violence instead of imaginary acts. Abbott needs acts of violence to vindicate his political methods.
