that sounds highly fictional suggesting the PMO is protecting a leaker.
Not just Abbott but others in his office and all have returned to a
state of trust. Given Abbott's treatment of past 'friends' it seems
highly unlikely and yet another flight of fancy.
Abbot's good friend who he turned his back on Peter Slipper was exonerated of the
injustice of not being allowed the same privilege other MP's were
given under the Minchin agreement. Abbott made no effort about a $947
issue and threw him under a bus. Why should anyone believe he has any
honour.
I suspect Bolt is just self aggrandizing which he's shown countless times to be his nature.
The 5 yearly joke that's been going on for the past 20-25 years. Created to sell a budget. Hockey should have presented it on Shaun Micallef's Mad as Hell. It would have been recognized for what it is. It's simply trying to get control of the narrative and not reality which they have never been able to do. The more forbidding event was the appointment of John Fraser a political appointment to the position of Treasury Secretary. Why did Martin Parkinson leave? "Abbott had lost confidence in him" Was he pushed, shoved or induced ? Shortly after Brandis tried it on Triggs and got sprung. Bye bye independent public service hello austerity and the promise of bullshit the "Trickle Down Effect". Translated families will have to pick up the slack for dropped social welfare policies.

The Catholic Church and Pell have not been the only body examined with regard child sexual molestation by the ABC. The Yeshiva and Rabbis have had a lot of attention for their protection of paedophiles. But not the board members who tend to be parents. As far as Knox is concerned the headmaster was given very close scrutiny as CEO and yes not so much board members who again happen to be parents. Are Bolt's trolls suggesting the parents of the kids attending the schools are all paedophiles to? Pell was given close scrutiny yes because he was the CEO of an organization protecting and hiding paedophiles he had extensive knowledge.
Henderson, Bolt and his trolls are simple. They could extend their argument to the ABC not focusing on all the parents of children that went to all those schools and demand to know why the ABC didn't closely examine them as well. Stupidity has to stop somewhere. The CEO's of these organizations were examined the operational heads. Pell was investigated for the fact his whole organization protected known paedophiles. The head of the Yeshiva was examined as was the head of Knox. The organizational structures significantly different from the Catholic church.
Parents of current students who attend Knox who themselves attended the school in the 60's 70's and 80's have declared they had no idea of what was going on. Many of the board attended the school and have kids there and they had no idea. Has the ABC has talked to some yes, obviously neither Bolt nor his trolls watch the Drum. One would have thought media watcher Henderson does.
Let's move on to sexual assault elsewhere. How is it the Immigration department has had the Moss Report into the sexual abuse of asylum seekers adults and children since Feb 9th and has failed to release it? How is it News Corp hasn't chased this down after all they are the biggest news network with 70% ownership. It claims to have it's reader's interests at heart and finger on the pulse. A month has gone by since it's release to Immigration and hush hush not a peep. Who is hiding what?
Bolt advocate of free speech says you can't to it on a plane or any place of business.
This is a storm in a teacup. A space filler for Bolt's blog. Pilbrow achieved what she set out to do and the young Tamil was returned to detention and not Sri Lanka.
What can one say other than Bolt and Palmer are twins when it comes to court hearings . Bolt has the power of the legal eagles at News Corp behind him and continues to lose or just bullies his way through legal cases without much personal care. So does Palmer. It would be great to see them up against each other.
Brandis told Triggs the government no longer had confidence in her. Then offered Triggs an inducement to resign she didn't . She was made of sterner stuff. It had worked on Parkinson the ex Treasury Secretary when told the government had no confidence in him. He did resign. Was he offered any inducement for doing so? How fortuitous it opened the doors for Reagonite John Fraser to step in and help save Joe Hockey from further embarrassment in selling his austerity budget with the title of Treasury Secretary. Fraser is a firm believer in cutting Social Services in exchange for the never proved but conservative insistence of the charitable "trickle down effect"to welfare. There goes the independence of the public service with that back room political move. The trickle down effect is little more than allowing the families and friends of those on welfare to take up the slack
The NSW election can and will take care of itself without Victorian assistance. Labour history in that state was not something to be proud of. However neither was Liberal history given the number of resignations of Liberal MP's after ICAC. They just fell out of the trees.
However we do notice there hasn't been a large Abbott presence in the campaign. Will Andrew Bolt be invited up to campaign for Baird in his place? I doubt it. There aren't too many politicians queueing to be photographed standing next to him. I have no idea what the consequence of Alan Jones campaigning against the blue in the Hunter Valley will have?
It appears Henderson has no appreciation of a good metaphor . " The separation of powers is a priceless artifact" and it's important to be acknowledged for there are many politicians among us who think otherwise. What else separates us from totalitarian government other than the Independence of public service and government.
Suddenly Henerson swings his attention to ex News Corp now RN host Karvelas who abandoned Murdoch media for the ABC. It's a wonder Henderson hasn't turned his sights on Tom Switzer as well two ex right wingers who Bolt denies exist at Aunty. Anyway Henderson has some squeamishness in a discussion about capital punishment if two doctors were discussing techniques of delivering death would he be so bothered ? However if Julian Burnside raises it Henderson takes more than the time to do the Murdochian twist. Why I asked myself? Vengeance for a past comment. Reprisal against one of the best legal mind in the country who Henderson tries to pedantically lecture on law and capital punishment in the USA. For one second I thought what's Henderson on about being so pedantic and then it's in your face an unclever unsophisticsted pay back. What a klutz.
As for asking whether Waleed Aly can deny Islamic inspiration by this attack on art the man reveals he's not only a moron but ignorant. Yes Aly can. Egypt is Islamic why is there so much art there? Bali is Hindu obviously Islamic Indonesia hasn't got around to inspired destruction of it. That alone counts for some 450 million Muslims respecting art. I won't go on stupidity and ignorance don't deserve the attention.
Vandals exist however labelling them as Islamic vandals is a mind set the equivalent of IS. IS in fact is known for selling antiquities more so than destroying them. Is that also Islamic inspired ? How is it when the Middle East never did, and most western media no longer do call IS either Islamic driven or a state Bolt's trolls still do? They continue to give IS all the credit they want they are complicit and it's why Julian Burnside is on the money

In the swine whine to his colleagues Bolt fails to mention that "Lyons was limited in the details he could publish in order to protect his sources.” But then that is something novel to Bolt because he just makes things up as he goes along sources never required let alone protected.
What is interesting is that James Jeffrey acknowledges they are all part of the News Corp stable Bolt doesn't. It's as if he wants it a well kept secret that Australians are really subject not to a wide range of press but a concentrated one 70% owned by News Corp.
