For a person advocates free speech Bolt certainly calls for a lot of consequences based not only on speech but a persons thoughts. East Germany had the STASI Russia the KGB. Citizens were encouraged to dob each other in. The relationships that bred were such that parents sent their kids out of the room in case they heard their conversation. Bolt the freedom advocate loves that he has a position of power at the behest of Rupert Murdoch. He of course assumes it's personal power above and beyond that of workers. However it's not he's just another worker under the illusion he's above the rest. In a trivial sense he is however he has to deliver the core value of the Murdoch business model now. he can't begin to deliver those of 1974 because they were then Labor values. so his freedoms are limited. His platform the technology allows him to create noise louder than most except for Fairfax and the ABC. The economic control of this technology allows him to deliver a message smother that of others. He commercially polices values and ideas with a significant degree of power. Bolt is a limit a wall to our ideas.
An example of this is Bolt always referring to the fact that core changes to the Liberal party and those of Abbott were always forwarded by him. He'd advised any change months before la di da di da. He reads the and knows and predicts before the the polls. They should "just ask Bolt" He knows who the villains are often before they know. Now like the oracle of Delphi he is guiding the Labor party as well. The only certainty there is, is "I said this would happen months ago" He is now advising the Labor party from his favourite seat the bleachers.
Recently Bolt was celebrating the drop in Iron ore prices simply because it was making Clive Palmer poorer. Now he on radio talking about it as an emergency. Will he be offering an economic solution from the bleachers? Not on your life.
Will he use it for an apologist excuse for our governments economic failings of course he will. Will he use it to increase the pressure on the Senate and Labour of course will as far as he's concerned they are running the country. However In the USA Obama is faced with a hostile Congress and Senate but as far as Bolt is concerned he's well and truly running the country and badly. Bolt is such a hypocritical puppet who dances to Murdochs strings.
Given the pleasure Bolt get's from following Palmer's private legal battles he'll use all of this as further distraction from Abbott as time passes.
Should one be surprised that there is only a link to the Age article that Bolt is delighted to can but no link to reader Dave's. I'm not about to take what Bolt unsourced unverifiable posts as valid proof of anything. Why should I believe Dave is a well of wisdom?
Bolt is a skeptic when it comes to climate science but not what his 'reader Dave 'posts. It might be worth attention if Bolt or his staff didn't moderate opposing opinions out. But that's not the case.
Given that a recent news article has indicated that the 12 biggest companies pay 30% of the total company tax bill without stating their effective rate and that News Corp only paid an effective rate of 1% I think any figures quoted need to be verifiable. Furthermore the deductions allowable differ company to company some paying interest on loans from connected companies in lower tax regions. There are so many deductions designed purely for tax minimization not available to everyone. Companies pay huge fees to an industry purely designed for tax minimization without any prosecutions. No I correct myself GlenWheatly sacrificed himself had he not cooperated with the ATO believing promises made would give him immunity he would never have been found guilty and all charges would have been dropped.

But even with the good news of nature helping regulate Earth’s
climate, Dr Canadell said there was still only one way to reduce the
impacts of global warming.
“We know about 50% of emissions from human activities stay in the
atmosphere even after the other half is removed by terrestrial
vegetation and oceans. The only way to stabilise the climate system is
to reduce global fossil fuel emissions to zero.”
So good try Bolt to co-opt a study that actually proves you to be a liar yet again

The country and capitalism needs unemployed according to conservative economics it puts downward pressure on Labour.
