The link is to the Australian and locked so I can't make an unsourced comment however I suspect Bolt is twisting and quoting Burnside out of context. If you compare the two for brains Bolt is way behind.
Bolt does have a habit of attacking messengers. To say that Australia has failed Asylum seekers is truth argue about who to blame takes the eye off the ball. The fact of the matter is Bolt's Story that he knows Lyon's unsourced story's source is itself unsourced. So should he be believed?

Anyway how many times has Bolt even used public transport?
Given Avigdor Lieberman Foreign Minister of Israel can say publicly while protected with taxpayer money that non Jewish Israelis should be beheaded if found disloyal to Israel. A demonstration against anti Israel policies might actually be seen as a good thing. Expense and cleanliness remain the unresolved issues of Nuclear power. There are plants that were commissioned in the 70's that aren't up and running yet. That's 40 years and still not in operation. If plants were started now that's way past 2055 before they are operational. How much more fossil fuel can we burn? Cleanliness is of immediate concern. Tidal power is still an experimental technology and only small scale.
However solar and wind are ready to go and have become cheaper than fossil fuel. Bolt's argument about the safety of radiation is a side issue in the whole argument and can be settled over time. However if he has so much faith in it let him take his family on a working holiday to Chernobyl to prove the harmlessness of radiation his Bolt Report ratings might go up.
