Paul Kelly has been muzzled in Bolt's Blog by the Restricted link. We are left with a one sided invective by Bolt and his interpretation of what Kelly wrote. It hardly leaves room for comment. However given the standing of these two men in News Corp and the Industry one is assured Kelly will have won hands down.

What
we have here is a failure to communicate I believe. Lapkin like a religious zealot is crying out
for punishment by next best thing to Capital Punishment. He's crying for the protection of children but fails to point out that children the world over wide
are being exploited and not just by pedophiles but by hetrosexuals as well. His notion of pedophile becomes unclear. Anyone no doubt he declares to be one. Shepard is trying be more specific and bring some understanding to the issue.
Lapin doesn't seem to care about the fact that child exploitation is
generally carried out by hetrosexuals and on a large scale whether sexual or not. He really has no concern for the exploitation of Indian children in the coal industry, child marriage the sex industry by heterosexuals adoption agencies they just don't interest him. His cry to protect some children from some particular act of his choosing and definition that requires no discussion other than discovery and punishment. This article is not about the protection of children at all but 'dangerous ideas' ideas different from his own. It simply ignores the reality of child exploitation. He's a blinkered and emotive zealot that would burn human scientists of any sort at the stake.

Bolt reminds us of his Crystal Balls and that he'd predicted as far back as 2013 that a discussion of this sort could be held about polygamy should same sex marriage be laws become the norm and yes this discussion is being held today by those bastard UK Greens who want to change things. Bolt the agnostic and supporter of free speech is concerned about this practice because it's accepted by Muslims and cultural mores of Aborigines.
Bolt seems to suggest that discussion of this 'dangerous idea' by the UK Greens might let the genie out of the lamp. Ideas lead by any group other than conservatives are simply dangerous because they set slippery path to unwanted change. Bolt cant be objecting on religious grounds he's agnostic. Is it because he's a cultural bigot? I doubt it. Rather it's because he's a conservative and as such fundamentally opposed to change that might threaten our dominant social structures.
Polygamy amongst tribal groups was once regarded as a form of welfare. If a married male member died rather than leaving behind a single mother to destitution a male relation would take her as his wife. Depending on inheritance mores wealth would be shared more evenly throughout the society. Men also died far earlier than women that in order to protect girls from being left single it was a duty of males who could afford to keep more than one wife to take on the responsibility. Inheritance was spread more evenly.
It seems neither religious or cultural bigotry on Bolt's part because if one came to understand why polygamy might be regarded as acceptable in some cultures offence wouldn't be taken so readily. However these discussions are seen as dangerous because our whole inheritance structures change the way wealth was accumulated and concentrated into just a few hands. The whole notion of polygamy is too collectivist for Bolt and maybe more equitable that's the danger.
May Day was the celebration of International Labour Day Australia was one of the first nations on this planet that lead the way to a 40 hour week and resistance to exploitation. Had Bolt been there then he would have been railing against the John Sekta of the day calling the movement corrupt and criminal. He would have been blogging that the child labour, labour of any kind was a free and natural agreement struck between capital and starving families, labor.
Today any association of workers is still a criminal organization holding business to ransom. However the truth is fairness has again been eroded. Only 12.5% of the work force is unionised. Contract labour and the casualisation of labour has put downward pressure on wages and taken away benefits previously held and seen as workers rights. Unemployment is 6.1% but under employment much higher but hidden. It's reflected in pay day loans increasingly advertised by the media which makes work a week to week existense with no possible chance of savings. Workers work three jobs without any guarantee of hours, or when those hours will be offered however they need to be on call waiting or lose the job. Under those conditions no family plans can be made however Bolt defends the generosity of business for providing these conditions in 2015.
Businesses are set up to exploit these conditions of the lower 60% of the pop which pays more for loans pays more for substandard food and are more often than not forced into substandard overcrowded accommodation. Bolt however bashes unions who are trying to prevent these conditions for some workers. One thing's for sure he never writes about them.
Business steals $400 million annually from these people in unpaid super alone. YOU NEVER HEAR THAT FROM BOLT
