This was Bolt's blog banner two days ago. The poor family of this misdirected young man Roof with racist thoughts. Today it's don't feel sorry for the families of these terrorists. Doesn't one note the hypocrisy in Bolt's blog and the taste of pleasure he got writing it.

Does Bolt deem this government announcement to be some symbol of our success that gives kudos to to Tony Abbott? There's two reasons the so called law that is about to be passed about being guilty until you can prove your innocence is totally counter to British law and should be condemned.
It further goes to show that Foreign intervention has always had a negative outcome in Afghanistan. The USA hasn't won a war since WW2. How ever since the end of the cold war threat and fear has been the necessity to maintain war for the benefit of the military industrial complex. the process is the necessity not the outcome. How is it the enemies facing off seem to be using weapons from the same source?

What a a load of posturing propaganda simply to hide the frustrating gaffes Abbott continues to make on a daily basis. Given that Bolt reaches only 8% of Australians via the hemorrhaging Newscorp print media empire which is losing $33 mill a year to just feed Rupert's need for influence and power and that the Bolt Report has next to no ratings and is also a Murdoch donation to Ch10 which actually acts more like an anchor on the station rather than any economic benefit, the continued patronage of Bolt seems at risk.
Rupert Murdoch has handed the reins to his sons a significant demotion for Roger Ailes the CEO of Fox News USA. James and Lachland aren't as vigorous as their old man in the supporting the right-wing style of news and broadcasting their father seems to hold on to. Will Abbott fulfil his promise to Murdoch and get rid of the ABC? He'd like to we all know that. Early election when governments lose and oppositions don't win? When the polls are still so bad and when the economy seems to heading downhill why is Bolt crowing? Just another dodgy donation to the LNP from Newscorp.
The subject of dodgy donations. Given that Bolt's column today is fully devoted to Bill Shorten rather that his usual two topics. What is a full page ad actually worth in each of Newscorp's print media? Given it's an LNP advertorial dressed up as commentary what is the value of this donated Murdoch propaganda to the LNP. How come it's not costed and declared for what it in fact is. This has to be the most dodgiest of donations Abbott recieves. I doubt if Abbott his Libs or Newscorp would acknowledge the truth. If Politics were the AFL and there was a salary cap on players or teams this dodgy deal would have them relegated fro the competition.

I do believe this battle is truly over and Bolt has divested any interest he had in coal as he knows it risks backing a 'losing horse'. However the Australian Government risks costing us badly on a number of levels. Can the Pope save the world?

Butthead Bolt loves a snigger but can't tell jokes. When they crack a bit of humour it's directed from the bottom up as it should be. There is safety in their cynicism as neither of them will need or intend to be hosts and they both know it. Tareq Kamleh is in Raqqa because of the perceived injustice he saw. He's there to save lives. Yesterday Bolt was argued that exceptions shouldn't define a community That Roof's killing of 9 blacks shouldn't be used to signify Racism in Carolina or the US. Roof is an exception!! Today looks for and thinks he's found an exception to prove that Multiculturalism doesn't work, a children's birthday has become a 'mass brawl'. However the massacre of 9 blacks in a church by a white boy is just a 'shooting'.

Bolt
seems run a constant argument that being the one of the "poor wealthy" vs
the "wealthy poor". An argument hard to fathom when the income and wealth gap
keeps widening in Australia. The unemployment rate is 6% and the working poor
numbers are increasing while the middle class is decreasing. With only the
top 20% of families having less than half their assets or total wealth
tied up in their family home they have wealth to access rent and capital gains.
In the past 8years their wealth has grown 28% compared with the 3% of
the poorest 20%. The gap growing between those able and unable to save.
While
Gonski opted for universal high quality education for all according to
their abilities and needs with the option of private education the
Abbott government simply wants to do away with that. Universal
education will simply be dependant on ones ability to pay. The LNP either want to
increase the current subsidies to private schools or means test those
attending government schools. The quality secondary to the costs doesn't seem important.
Politically Abbott appears to want to wedge Labour with yet another
false argument as they have with pensions. That they want to tax the rich but Labour doesn't however universal quality of education of no concern. However it is of great concern when it comes to tertiary selection.
What
in fact they want is a two tiered system of education. One for the
decreasing rich but totally privatized and the other the government
supplied or basic one for the others. Gonski is scarified for the simple
commodification of education through to university and debt at the end. The Universal quality sought by Gonski gives
way to price alone.It's why we see Bolt talking about the "poor wealthy" in the short term however guaranteed an upwardly mobile one in the long. There are no wealthy poor other than tax evaders.

I agree how about starting with the indirect and free payments by way of advertising provided to Tony Abbott and the LNP from Newscorp. The propaganda given Tony Abbott in the name of opinion by Newscorp by Andrew Bolt etc which is sheer $$ with strings attached. The value of this propaganda machine is far greater than Ergas's petty complaint.
Bolt really is just showing off. He seems to know very little about art. The estate of Marlene Pugh is selling a Clifton Pugh and a Rick Amor however the 2 paintings are by Clifton Pugh most likely. At least they are 2 paintings by the same artist not 2 different ones. Bolt just follows the catalogue neither the paintings nor the artists are important to his "look at me" excercise. He sometimes gets things right but so does a monkey. Fred Williams is always of value and you'd never tire of.
