Bishop too matey at the UN

Link The Age

" Altogether too chummy at and with the UN."  Andrew Bolt

Andrew Bolt doesn't listen he's out for revenge as far as he's concerned it's not Tony Abbott's duty to punish her because it's not politically advantageous to him. It's not of any of Bolt's concern to listen to the bitch. In fact it's better that he doesn't. Despite everybody defending her and saying what she had done was not unusual Bolt was having none of it. Labor might be satisfied Bolt however never will be. He intends to be Abbott's ventriloquist dummy to extort some revenge even if Abbott doesn't intend to. Let it be said in all likelihood it won't bode well. After all Bolt assisted in degrading and destroying Abbott's reputation in the first place.

Turnbull’s best poll yet - 52 per cent to 48

This is obviously due to Tony Abbott rather than anything Turnbull has done. Andrew Bolt in all his humbleness hasn't made a point of it. The reason because Tony Abbott is no longer there. Well done Tony!!

Notice the length of this post compared with the the one honoring Abbott. If length is an indication of bullshit then it's plain and clear where the hyperbole lies. The poll reflects the truth not the honoring only Tony's departure. . I suggest Bolt's mate post is warn  the LNP that they shouldn't feel elated and be seen smiling too much because Tony's still there and hasn't been offered Bolt's job at News Corp.

Is that really warming, or did you just adjust?

The Australian Bureau of meteorology is not the center of global climate science for one it's only a part of that science. There seems to be a civil war within News Corp on a number of issues one being. "Jennifer Marohasy cannot understand why it’s a scandal to want to check the figures of the Australian Bureau of Meteorology:" What Bolt fails to acknowledge is the Bureau's figures have been checked twice and no statistically significant differences were found. Bolt's attempt to drag up this old cherry is infact totally countered and explained by News Corp itself and can be found on www.news.co.au Global Warming: Is the Weather Bureau misleading us? | Climate change

Homogenization of data explained.

“If a temperature data set is to be used for monitoring climate change it is important that it be homogeneous; that is, changes in the temperature as shown in the dataset reflect changes in the climate, and not changes in the external (non-climatic) conditions under which the observations are made.

Potential non-climatic influences on temperature observations include changes in local ground conditions around an observation site, changes in instruments and changes in observation procedures.

In addition, many station ‘series’ are taken from more than one location, despite often appearing under a single geographical name. Very few century-scale temperature station series are totally free of such influences, and thus careful homogenization is required in order to produce a homogeneous data set.”

19. Bottom line. Data gathering is not, in itself, perfect science. Homogenisation tries to account for that. That’s very different from doctoring data to suit someone’s agenda."Following Exxon Revelations, The Guardian Highlights Need To Investigate Corporate Climate Deception

Putin mocks Obama’s Arab Spring dreams

Yet again as far as conservatives are concerned the Middle East began with Obama. This post suggests Bolt and the Republicans are happy to allow Putin to have his way because Obama and the Democrats for the moment are their primary target and Putin an ally. Notice Bolt isn't running a commentary as he has never had a solution to the Middle East other than all out war. However what do you do when Syrians fear Assad will retain power as West seeks deal to end violence

Abbott defends his legacy, but gives Turnbull and Morrison space

Words no doubt from a man who didn't understand then and still doesn't understand now. His party rejected him. Do and internal poll now.

Three word slogans repeated and repeated treated the electorate as infantile. Sure they resonated in a way that talked down to the public rather than explained a vision of Australia. They were meant to direct us forward toward that vision but simply didn't. Under Abbott the country very quickly became depressed. Promises were broken we felt lied to slogans didn't unite they divided the country. Abbott's image internationally was so much the opposite of what we and the world thought of us.

After the first budget was delivered side issues and politics seemed the order of the day and the country simply became depressed and it showed in the polls. Abbott will learn this sitting on the backbench. However a little late.

Morrison was right the frist time about tax. So wny now think of super taxes?

Morrison was right the frist time about tax. So wny now think of super taxes?

Link Paywall  to Murdoch's Australain The ABC

How is it Morrison is saved from a substantial  personality attack from Bolt unlike the personality attacks handed out to Turnbull? Might it just be that Morrison is still Rupert's favourite boy who will be given the teachers pet approach when it comes to criticism.

As for policy change Morrison hasn't said anything other than all taxes and concessions need to be reviewed which is a rather neutral statement coming from any politician

" The Abbott Government ruled out cuts to super tax concessions, not least to sharpen the difference with tax-tax-tax Labor."

That's the problem Abbott's policies were all about extenuating the  politics rather than asking what's best for Australia that would have lead him into bipartisan positions which he avoided like the plague. It's the very reason he's no longer with us. LNP in power has not always been seen as the best option for the country. Fraser & Hewson are just two leaders that turned. Policies not Politics just might refresh the debate.More than anything, we must not be afraid to do things that are new

Tips for Turnbull on public speaking

" This is not criticism of Malcolm Turnbull but advice." Bolt

When you hear Bolt say this first up you can be assured the opposite is true. It's all criticism no advice.

Furthermore it comes from a person so lacking in communication skills he needs a band of supporters to insure he doesn't lose control of the Bolt Report. Bolt does not like to address people without an auto-cue. Everything Bolt says is so over produced, never relaxed and humourless except for the moments of faux laughter when one is left wondering what the joke was about.

Turnbull and the politics of hoiding a summit

Link Paywall to Murdoch's Australian

Bolt obviously prefers the confrontational style of government that gained Tony Abbott such minority support as opposed to a summit or collegiate approach. Which Both Abbott and Bolt find difficult because it actually means listening. Something neither are skilled at. So Bolt obviously thought Abbott's lack of collegiate leadership was a plus to the namby pamby Howard and Hawke approaches. Bolt's really squirming & wriggling with this because Abbott failed to get much done at all when it came to Bills passed. Gillard in the same position did far, far more.

" They can also be theatrical events to show and justify a change of policy from a new “consultative” and less “confrontational” government, in a way that just holding a press conference can’t match."

Turnbull has “bold” idea. Frydenberg blamed

Link Andrew Bolt, Link Canberra Times, The Age all Latika Bourke

" First they give Malcolm Turnbull credit for what Tony Abbott actually did."Bolt

" So was Morrison in fact slapping down Turnbull? Or Bourke protecting Turnbull from the consequences of his “bold move”?" Bolt

Bolt said he studied logic at Adelaide Uni it wouldn't appear that he did too well.

Given your two statements Andrew Bolt   It would appear Morrison is slapping down the originator of that idea Tony Abbott not Turnbull  or Frydenberg . Turnbull has never said he was going to change all aspects of the party line you seem to be suggesting he did. The party voted for a better communicator and someone better respected to reunite a party falling apart.

"Labor dusts off its tired and intellectually bankrupt class war rhetoric:"

So basically Bolt is saying workers are well off getting paid in excess of their needs and the ALP  is lying. When all economic indicators show the middle and working class are struggling. What evidence does Bolt produce to show this is false..none.

Yesterday Bolt pointed out that Rosie Batty's personal tragedy and experience  is no indicator of any wisdom to be offering ides . Below  his180 degree turnaround about Turnbull  means he is calling himself Pathetic.

Bolt Logic.....not bright
"Strange, how Labor believes that success disqualifies anyone from offering ideas on how others can thrive, too. Pathetic."

Obama’s war is a farce

Link The Washington Free Beacon " "If credible media outlets regard the unethical practices of The Free Beacon as valid, all of journalism will be debased. The site is noted for its aggressive, ideologically driven reporting, it's Right Wing bias. Link NYT & the Washington Post

Not a single suggestion of how the Middle Eastern crisis is to be resolved by Bolt only incidents critical of Obama who inherited a war started by the right wing Republicans in the early 2000s.  Lies about WMDs and the need to protect Israel from Saddam  was the justification when in fact it was about the effective control of oil in the Middle East.

Bolt simply is using the current complexity of that aftermath in Syria with all it's consequences to run the selective Tea Party  arguments against Obama without any solutions. When Tony Abbott was leading us to "degrade and destroy the death cult" Bolt was silent on the failures and a braggart for Tony on the seeming successes.

Yes the Middle East is a series of successes and errors Bolt began writing of the successes in Iraq as Tony Abbott was our General Patton who seemed to gain popular support at home for the blunder of involving us. Bolt then went on to really say nothing about the war for some six months because we were actually so ineffective. However when it became clear the war was more an embarrassment to Abbott than a positive domestically Bolt turned away fro Abbott to  Obama and put him  front and center of all  the blame. The same can be said of the Ukraine when Bolt's Tony was his General Patton  like figure  leader of world operations against Putin. The bragging was fast silenced there too and became silent  and invisible. Now that Tony's gone I'm sure these  myths will be reestablished.Syria conflict: Russia wants ‘co-ordination’ against

China warns this free trade deal could slip through our fingers

Link The Age

Bolt's link to The Age has no relevance to the topic posted it's about penalty rates. It's the perfect example of how you need to read the fine print because you can so easily be stooged. How many suppliers dealing with Coles or Woolworths were told they'd have an opportunity of a lifetime if only they signed terms and conditions not fully elaborated on in their contracts. Only to find these reputable chains could ensure their suppliers made no profit. How many also did it with the Myer group only to find the season over and their goods never making it to the store floor and merely stuck in their warehouse? The supplier faced with the daunting choice of a massive loss or a David and Goliath court case.

We are small compared with China and it seems over eager to please. Ready to sign contracts not as clear as they should be purely on the basis of trust. How is it when commercial lawyers advise that everything be put in writing and detailed. The Abbott government did quite the opposite and crowed trust China and us it's all ok. However in every other aspect China has proven difficult to control. China is known for breaches of intellectual property, for cyber attacks yet we are told trust ChAFTA or else Companies investigated for foreign bribery should be able to cut deals: BHP
