Anti Global Science advocates really have little or nothing to do with the science of global warming. Like advocates for Tobacco companies their job is to spread confusion through media and they have access to funds to do just that. Basically while Tobacco companies no longer try to disprove the science of smoking and cancer they continue spend huge amounts of money fighting public health initiatives like plain paper packaging. Their experience has been picked up by the fossil fuel industry since they have been pointed out as the largest man made producers of warming by advocating fossil fuels for energy and realeasing CO2 into the atmosphere by doing so. Consequently they and in particular coal has been regarded as the greatest threat to the man made increase in global warming.
The argument basically is, if man continues to release CO2 into the atmosphere at an accelerated rate and if this results in and accelerated rate of global warming we will see an accelerated rate of sea rise. Thomas, Bolt etc don't try to disprove this statement outright. The talk of the 18 year hiatus ,which has been proven wrong, is a constant in their arguments. They don't refer to the IPCC 2015 report which denies the hiatus it outright. They do however constantly refer to exaggerated scenarios that refer to situations that say if and when extremes were to occur as predictions which the never where. It's a bit like saying we will all live to 150 if science progresses at the rate it has been. If we don't then we should turn our backs on medical research and call it a failure. In other words they try to turn science on it's head by arguing against it because exaggerated hypothetical and scenarios are used calling them failed predictions when they aren't and never were. The fact is we are polluting the atmosphere to detrimental effect and these effects are never taken into account by the fossil fuel industries and are hidden in the mocking of the loud conservative minority.

Reminds me when Melbourne was alive with anti-Vietnam protesters and protesters against apartheid except the technology and photographs are so much better today. I believe the commentary offered by the MSM back then was better. They didn't just spend their time commenenting about the expensive clobber the protesters were wearing. The MSM may have been just as less informative about the protests but the didn't just trivialise them as a fashion shoot. Bolt certainly offers no insight whatsoever either so they can't have been of much concern to anybody but Bolt who wanted a catch reason for his banner. Which came first?

Turkey has been assisting them by not getting getting involved. By not supporting the Kurds in their fight against ISIS. How quickly Kobane has been forgotten where we saw Turkey watch and not fire a shot in anger. Turkey controls it's press and Bolt dances.
Very funny here's Bolt whose totally against government spending offering an article that asks "How to grow the pie", increase jobs and productivity. An article that in fact promotes more spending not less. I doubt Bolt actually read his own cut and paste. All he saw was "fairness shouldn't be the primary issue" and instantly thought it was about "not taxing the rich".
If the rich have been getting richer and the poor poorer there is no argument against changing and redistributing income and wealth. However that's a significantly different question to the ethics of job creation and the increasing of productivity. Bolt generally suggests it be done by the more work for less pay approach which is also accompanied by less spending by those who get less money. The shrinking middle class is the problem they are the spenders who provide jobs. However he's never been interested in small business anyway the sector supported by them.
Why does Bolt want the answer to be a bomb? Of course he is eager even excited for it to be a bomb because it fits his story. His mate Nick Cater even went as far as to suggest Russia " known for evil" could have blown it's own plane up. Where are these conspiratorial minds of ultra conservatives born?
Bolt's loves to wallow in the thought of the pain of others. He pleasures himself in the moments of fantasy likethis which he wishes was reality.

It's the extreme singular right wing message that unions are corrupt. In it there is an inbuilt stereotype that comes with that message and it's that unionists are uneducated, blue collar, simple minded self interested lead by corrupt thugs and union bosses. They are the opposite of suited, fair minded paternal risk taking entrepreneurial leaders of the job creating business class.

Rather than declare Bill Shorten innocent which is the most likely outcome of this Commissions findings Andrew Bolt is always going to declare him guilty by association with everybody anything including life. For somebody who believes in in small government, deregulation, a free market anti- collectivist ideology one would expect Bolt should be arguing against the regulatory powers of the Royal Commission arguing that the formation of unions is as natural to the market's evolution as are business associations and should be left alone. He's not he's actually calling for more regulation of this section of the market by Government, by Police and by our Courts. Any notion of Eureka as a heroic act is a perversion of our history to Andrew Bolt.
