Andrew Bolt in his campaign for "Free Speech" as is allowed in the USA by the First Amendment in the Constitution has the impact of allowing people to lie vilify misinform, disinform and do whatever they want. The only defense available for those that feel victims is to sue. However economics simply precludes an equal playing field. No better example can be found than Donald Trump the President Elect of America who uses "threats to sue " against each and everybody in sight. The Trump card of economic power that's rarely a realty or option for more than the 1%. If Bill Leak's cartoons were directed at him or the QUT students ran complaint campaign against Trump he'd simply "threaten to sue" and have them gamble. Donald Trump has revealed what "Freedom of Speech" the speech that Bolt wants so desperately means for him. The right to lie, the right to be loose with facts, the right to vilify, the right to oppress with words, not on a one to one basis but on the right to "broadcast " unsubstantiated facts to vilify at will and call it in the words of Donald Trump "clever campaign tactics" simply a euphemism for "I have the money so fuck you". Section 18C &D prevents that and helps the less economically resourced not be completely trodden on not just by the likes of Donald Trump but Andrew Bolt and the 1% for whom he's their MSM media voice. The increasing criminality of white Australians seems to require no apology no guilt or no focus. Ice in rural is pandemic and it's white Australian but ignored by Andrew Bolt.
His increasing need to focus on the massive increase in crime by white Australians is not warranted let alone narrowed down to Aussies of English or European descent. For Bolt the focus is purely on the Africans but today as the banner reads it's the Sudanese. No matter that all kids are reckless and have formed gangs of various sorts over the years. Melbourne's history can be described by gangs Irish Catholics, Italians, Vietnamese, Chinese, Mod's Rockers, the Preston boys, the reservoir boys, the Broady boys bikers and others make up the tapestry of the country over the years. Gangs formed for pride, crimes and even patriotism and allegiance to differences being fought at home. Andrew Bolt ignore them all has publicly narrowed it down to and magnified the Apex Gang. When that failed to get traction because the Apex gang turned out to be multicultural gang. Bolt took out a bigger lens and directed it to Black Africans today even that seems too broad for him today it's the Black African Sudanese community of Australia.
No matter that a minority of kids have been organized or organized themselves to commit serial crimes each act is recorded separately treated separately such that a single event can appear statistically as dozen crimes or more rather than one simply because of the number of charges laid. Bolt takes that opportunity to describe single events as a plague comitted by a huge nest why? Because his bigotry is real and intended to smears a community simply because they are black Sudanese but more so refugees possibly Muslim who have no media access, representation or right of reply in the community to enable them to fight back to Andrew Bolt's accusations stereotyping bigotry. Andrew Bolt is living proof that White Christian Nationalists the equivalent of the US's KKK, the Nazi Party are alive and well in Australia and he is their voice.
Their singular connection to each other is hatred of those perceived to be different. Whether in suits or dressed in the uniform of skinheads wearing Nazi paraphernalia their intense hatred of diversity unites them. Those they choose to focus on are their victims and Andrew Bolt is their amplified voice of hatred. He doesn't want just to separate and not mix with those he perceives as different, a freedom available to us all, he wants them separated from the diverse nation as a whole. That's why his commentary is reason for Section 18C & D existence and Judge Mordecai Bromberg was only polite when calling him a liar ,loose with facts and the very worst of Australian journalism. The selling of fear for political advantage was made obvious in the American election just as it was when Tony Abbott ran for office.

Is it any surprise if Putin is funding Le Penn in France, Golden Dawn in Greece and other extreme right wing groups in Europe that he wasn't involved in the funding of Donald Trump or the indirect funding of extreme right wing parties globally? Putin is not winning militarily but politically he's progressing. I'm not anti- Russian but I'am anti- disinformation as presented on social media and in the MSM by the likes of Andrew Bolt that allows lies to be rebranded as "campaign devices" by the likes of Donald Trump. Tony Abbott's lies will now be termed as smart political "campaign devices" as is Andrew Bolt's bigotry and ultra racist bullshit.
