WHY DID THE COMMISSION ITSELF TIP OFF THE AWU?

Brad Norrington raises a fascinating question about the police raid on the AWU requested by the Registered Organisations Commission: "If shredding vital documents was a matter of such concern, why did [ROC deputy leader Nick Enright] call AWU Victorian branch secretary Ben Davis, a little while before the police raid to alert him?"

Bolt a man of little or no principles,  generally only motivated by what it will do for his ultra conservative side specifically to assist Abbott, has jumped the gutter. He has joined those he generally regards as the opposition or the left, real analytical and respected commentators like Waleed Aly, Barry Cassidy et al why? Simply because Rupert Murdoch hates Malcolm Turnbull and has done for a very long time. So it doesn't matter that Turnbull has jumped to the right and is conducting himself in the style of Abbott he will find no support from News Corp. The only motive is get rid of Turnbull all principles put aside.

PAYWALL
Chris Kenny, Dennis Shanahan, Paul Kelly, all men of News Corp get top billing and all merely a paywall to the Australian. However, the point is the cut and paste work is not Andrew Bolt but his troll Peter BH who Bolt refers to as merely a fond reader which is clearly BS. Yes, the PM has had a difficult time and not of his own making as said by Mark Kenny. As for the Cash debacle, it simply shows when you take the path generally reserved for Tony Abbott things can and do blow up in your face. Had this been Abbott, however, the News Corp team would have been the first in to excuse Abbott for his failure.

PAYWALL
It seems Bolt has taken the weekend off and is just running Ads for the failing Australian.
It's simply continued revenge against those who supported the removal of Tony Abbott. It's patently obvious that Abbott and conservative tactics have lead Turnbull down this current disastrous path.

As is usual when you have no relevant facts go back 8 years to 2009 to make your point today. GetUp wasn't regarded or accused of being an ALP or Green front. So Bolt's suggestion is somewhat irrelevant. However if there was any relevance it was how Abbott has used News Corp the ACLU and others when swinging his wrecking ball against Turnbull's leadership of the party just as he is doing today. They are donors to the conservatives in the Liberal Party. One only has to recall he these organizations direct involvement in boosting Abbott to the role of PM. However what they did for Abbott they are now accusing GetUp of doing for Labour which in fact it isn't. The AEC can't be seen to be a tool of government.

The AEC "is under enormous pressure from the Coalition parties to declare the organisation an associate of Labor and the Greens. That is the only way the Coalition can see to hit back at an organisation that is unique in its capacity to do damage to conservative politics." Monthly
" The reality is that GetUp! is immune to the kinds of pressure an increasingly authoritarian government seeks to apply to other civil society groups. Hence the pressure on the electoral commission to have it declared an associated entity."Monthly
" Murdoch media, which campaigns relentlessly against Labor at election time. Arguably a banner headline, such as The Daily Telegraph’s “Kick This Mob Out”, published during the 2013 federal election campaign, marks it as being every bit as partisan as GetUp!"The Monthly
"Why is the AEC not investigating the declaration of News Corp as an associated entity of the Liberal Party? Or, for that matter, the Minerals Council or the Australian Christian Lobby, or the right-wing talkback hosts on commercial radio, whose campaigning might equally be seen as directed “wholly, or to a significant extent for the benefit” of the conservative parties?" The Monthly
These are fare more relevant questions today than what GetUp was doing in 2009
