A WARY ABBOTT ON TRUMP,
"His biggest problem is that so many people are willing him to fail. He gained the Republican nomination by defeating the center-right establishment. He won the presidency by smashing the center-left establishment. Against the predictions of almost the entire political class, he won; and not all of those he surprised have had the magnanimity to admit their mistake. Some, deep down, might even prefer to have their judgment retrospectively vindicated than allow a hated president to do some good." Tony Abbott on Trump
1) He's consistent, isn't he? Climate Change might be doing some "good". You will find "some good" in the worst of situations however the good never outweigh the bad. The very statement is accurate in its nonsense. Bushfires have some good but unintended consequences but we don't encourage the public to set them each year.
2) A hated President may do some good but that's no reason to support retaining him in the hope of some unintended consequences. It won't stop people living in a state trepidation. We experienced that with Abbott who trended towards the bad and accidently may have done some good. Life is an attempt to minimize the risks. We have successfully turned to science for that and have had a history of success. Abbott preferred to put science and innovation in a closet indicating he wasn't interested in the history of its success. He lived in a world of a half-empty glass rather than a full one.
3) Trump didn't "smash" the center-right he had 3million fewer votes than Clinton hardly a smashing blow. He won the electoral college a system he didn't agree with. He hasn't changed the minds of those he surprised but he certainly has changed the minds of those that voted for him as seen in this weeks election in Virginia and his unpopularity in the polls a record low. Abbott at best is suggesting that you don't learn from your mistakes and shouldn't be in a rush to correct them because if you look hard and long enough you just might find some good.
4) Isn't he saying he wasn't all that bad? History I'm afraid will judge him on trend and not just some accidental results. Where has this piece of apologist stupidity been published The Spectator? Well that ensuring that it's not going to be read by many people.

SAM DASTYARI'S DEFENDERS SHOULD DEFEND MORE THAN JUST HIM
Bolt's justification for the freedom to bully is that bullying happens to conservatives as well. So victimhood and flipping the argument is what bullies like Bolt use in an attempt to escape blame. It was Trump's attempt to excuse what happened Charlottesville that bullying is on both sides. The consequence, however, is all they do is make themselves out to be Neanderthals.
The difference between ultra right-wing bullying and left-wing protest is context Bolt merely argues it's style and manners. The actions of Patriot Blue PLF, Mark Latham is the same as that of the Nazis of old intended to disrespect the freedom of others denying equality as a natural right. Protest on the other hand demands that right for the whole nation. Meaning takes priority over style and there is no truth in the justification of standing above or over others.
The actions of the left towards bullies is to liberate the actions of the Alt-Right is to subjugate. Bolt stands on the side of those right-wingers who when protested against claiming the equivalent victimhood of their targets which conveniently ignores truth and intent of their actions.
"The idea of white supremacy also has no place in science. We may be of different skin colors, ethnicities, heights, widths, eye colors and genders, but we are all part of the same human race. Out of the womb, we are all equal"
Bolt the bully tries to play the victim card. However, nobody would be protesting had Sam Dastyari been allowed to have his meal in peace. Nobody protested the pranksters glittering of Bolt because we knew the intent it was poor style but understandable because of the truths he represents. Besides, we all witnessed his attempted GBH in the circumstance. He was totally unlike Sam and his level of violence was uncalled for. Bolt's use of the Trump defense, simply declaring all sides do it, carries no weight because it empties meaning, the intent, the truth out of the reality of the situation. It ignores the meaning the hinge that distinguishes right from wrong. It's what makes him a Nationalist White Supremacist Racist who stands shoulder to shoulder with Patriot Blue. It's not just a matter of style. He and Latham are thugs as well.
HORRIFIC: MANUS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS MUST CLEAN OWN SHOWER
Horrific, if you're too lazy to clean up after yourself: "Horrific video from within the Manus Island detention center reveals the squalid conditions faced by the men who have refused to leave... Urinals are filthy... Green slime covers the floor of the shower-recess and there are grime and mold on the walls." Who do they expect must clean instead?
Horrific, but only if you're some work-shy bum too lazy to clean up after yourself: " Bolt
Unbelievable Bolt sounds like a Nazi observing Jews in a concentration camp. They at least had running water. No, he sounds even worse, he sounds like Peter Dutton who claims he's the victim.
"There are nearly 600 idle blokes at this center. None of them have time to clean the urinals or wipe down the walls of their own shower?
Exactly who do they expect must clean up after them?
What's horrific here is the sheer laziness and lack of pride. No wonder few Australians take refugee activists seriously when we're expected to feel pity that these men are expected to do the cleaning that most Australians do in their own homes every week."Andrew Bolt
We shouldn't be surprised he says the same of Indigenous Australians as well. 600 men with no water no tools no food no medicines are lazy asses according to Bolt because they can't clean blocked and backed up sewage with their bare hands. It's what Bolt family does any day of the week. WTF what are the Aborigines and the Manus Island refugees complaining about?

SHORTEN SHAME FILE: NOW IT'S HIS TIME TO SQUIRM ON CITIZENSHIP
Bill Shorten has outplayed Malcolm Turnbull in this citizenship crisis. But now it's the Labor leader who looks dodgy. Shorten claimed Labor MPs were all clear, but they're not. He claimed he wanted this fixed, but he's stalling. He demanded transparency but is hiding evidence. And he wants a deal with Turnbull to save MPs from the High Court.
Bolt wants an election so Abbott can be reinstalled as the Liberal opposition leader he never really was. Labour has learned from its mistakes the Liberals haven't and the way things are evolving there will no longer be a coalition of 2 parties and highly possible no Liberal Party.
SCREAMING AT THE SKY: AND TRUMP HATERS THINK THEY'RE THE SMART ONES
Listening to them scream and howl at the sky at Trumps' one-year anniversary, I marvel that Trump haters still congratulate themselves on being the smarter ones.
AND THEY BOAST OF BLOWING UP THE STATIONS THAT GAVE THEM RELIABLE POWER
Four years ago I told South Australian Liberal leader Steve Marshall to blow up a wind tower to show he'd slash power prices. He was horrified. But under Labor, blowing up coal-fired power stations is the rage, despite leaving the state with among the world's highest power prices. Today's Advertiser front page is a cracker.
SHORTEN'S LETTER BLOWS OPEN CITIZENSHIP FIASCO: EVEN THE PM DOESN'T THINK PARLIAMENT IS LEGITIMATE
Bill Shorten's letter yesterday to the Prime Minister reveals an explosive detail from their conversation: Malcolm Turnbull suspects votes of Parliament may not be lawful, with all the dual citizens still there. So how can the Governor-General assent to any laws passed by such a legally suspect body? Read what Shorten says Turnbull privately said.
PROTECTION RACKET: LIBERALS TELL DUAL CITIZEN MP NOT TO QUIT. LABOR SEEKS SWEETHEART DEAL
First, a Turnbull Minister told MP Stephen Parry not to admit he was British. Now: "There was mounting internal speculation ... that Liberal MP John Alexander has realized he has a problem with dual citizenship and is planning to announce his resignation... Alexander had considered resigning earlier in the week but had been talked out of it.”
ARE YOU HEARING BOTH SIDES OF THIS EUTHANASIA EXPERIMENT?
I wouldn't be surprised, given how many other debates are shut down by the Left: "Public health doctors in Victoria feel unable to speak out against the state’s euthanasia laws because they are 'not allowed' to criticise the government’s policy, the director of a Sydney palliative care unit says."
GLOBAL WARMING DISASTER: SO MUCH FOOD WE'LL GET FAT
Another climate catastrophe caused in part by good rain, warmth, and higher carbon dioxide. This global warming means people may now die of overeating: "U.S. corn production will be higher than expected. Soybean production was still expected to come in as the biggest ever."
