If so why is News Corp and liars like Andrew Bolt making out they were breaking News? The question lies in the fact that why are they in the business of trying to destabilize the government by going against Tony Abbott's dictum of what the duty of the Fourth Estate duty in fact ought to be supporting the government. We have recently seen the ABC handing ASIO secret files the government would hate to have published back in "responsible" manner. While Bolt and Co are doing their best to justify and declare news revealed in 2017 as secret and necessary to be revealed. Can you find greater band of liars and hypocrites anywhere than at News Corp?
Can ABC be trusted to hold the government to account? | Andrew Fowler | Opinion | The Guardian
When gifted a large cache of secret documents, the normal journalistic process would involve the stories being written, with names and operational details removed. The reports would then either be published outright, or the government approached for comment, running the risk that they may seek an injunction to prevent publication. Whatever the process, not even completing the journalistic work in the first place is a strange way for the ABC to discharge its journalistic responsibility.
Even stranger still is the way the ABC allowed Asio to bring safes into the ABC buildings, supposedly so the documents could be kept secure and then taken away.
Handing over documents to any Australian intelligence agency signals the emergence of an unhealthy relationship between the ABC and the very institutions of government they should be holding to account. Yet it wasn’t always so.
The Official New Matilda Dirty 30 List – The Politicians Our Readers Most Love To Hate - New Matilda
Well, it’s official New Matilda readers overwhelmingly don’t like Tony Abbott. Indeed, of the 1,275 readers who voted in NM’s first official ‘Dirty 30’ poll – a vote on the most unpopular federal politicians among the NM readership – Tony Abbott attracted a whopping 94% of the total vote.

Andrew bolt is duly importing Fox news to Australia no doubt there is an equivalent in the UK doing the same . Cherrypicking data constructing narratives is all that Trump and his allies rely on. Everything becomes Fake News and the the most powerful narrative is then the winner without any desire or respect for the truth. Should we be surprised that Bolt works with the ambition to be a Murdoch talking head down under. The very fact that Trump is politicizing and demanding that Independant Institutions like the FBI, CIA, DOJ should be allowed the separation of power is the fundamental deteriation of Democracy in favor of a Dictatorship. Trump is also targeting the media the Fourth Estate's abilities to report and gather information that questions his Presidency and Bolt is promoting News Corp's PR promotion of this despite it being obvious.
Bolt doesn't mention the Devin Nunes Memo on which his "timetable" is based and which has been ridiculed by all and sundry and even most Republicans are turning their backs on. No Bolt ignores that information and doesn't mention that it's quickly been ignored as frivolous and yes approved by Trump himself, bye bying any objectivity. By the way G.W. Bush has come out and said the Russians were interfering in US elections and there is no denying that.Trump blocks Democrats' rebuttal to Nunes memo, citing national ...Fact Check
"the memo reveals that the FBI’s investigation into Russian meddling in the election and possible coordination with the Trump campaign began with George Papadopoulos. “And in fact, on the issue of collusion, what the memo indicates is the investigation didn’t begin with Carter Page, it actually began with George Papadopoulos, someone who was a foreign policy adviser for candidate Trump and someone who was meeting secretly with the Russians and talking about the stolen Clinton emails.”
That sinking feeling: trust in politicians lower in Australia than in most other countries
Tony Abbott justified a good reason for it and Trump is doing the same in the USA with 2500 lies in his first year of office
POLL THE MEDIA WILL DEEP SIX: TRUMP AHEAD OF OBAMA
Journalists have gloated that Donald Trump is polling worse than recent presidents. Will they now note Rasmussen's latest result? : "49% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance... Trump’s approval ratings have been running slightly ahead of where Barack Obama was at this stage of his presidency."Is it any surprise Bolt fails to mention that the Rasmussen Poll is America's primo conservative pollster. Why would Bolt turn to that Poll? Trump's polling has simply improved because the 8 years of continual economic rise since the GFC has been stolen by Trump and amplified as if it was down to Trump. Bolt just flick to repeat anything reported by Fox News. Does he have any opinions of his own?Fox host says that Trump should take credit for the good of the stock market, but not the bad
Varney’s exhortations of “the Trump stock market rally” are misleading, as they fail to acknowledge that the growth continues the more than six years of steady stock market growth under Obama. From March 6, 2009, to November 7, 2016, the Dow Jones climbed about 11,632 points — almost a 157 percent increase.

QUINCY JONES: SCHOLAR IN AN AGE OF KNOW-NOTHING
Old Dog Thoughts | News Corporation employs Right-Wing Broadcasters providing them with a platform ensuring the inequality of speech. Their Social Media Platforms not only advocate conservative, and extreme right-wing wing views. They monitor out most opposing opinions which they are entitled to do. However, they also simply lie when they say they provide an arena for fair and balanced discussion in a no-spin zone. They don't it's all spin.
