Australian citizens wrongfully detained because of immigration failures, report finds | Australia news | The Guardian

Australian Federal Police and Australian Border Force badge
Immigration department staff who illegally detained two Australian citizens in 2016 and 2017 were poorly trained, ignored critical information, and took no responsibility for flawed decisions, an internal government report has found.
The report, by a former inspector general of intelligence and security and released under freedom of information laws, says there were systemic failures within the department and it is “quite possible other citizens have been detained or removed [from the country] in similar circumstances”.
Duttons attitudes of non listening seem to have been absorbed by by his department which has taken on his non neutral but biased characteristics
"One man was born in Australia to New Zealand citizen parents.
He had been a citizen of Australia since he was 10 years old, and repeatedly told immigration department officials he was Australian, but was ignored".
Remember when the ABF where given the authority to stop people in the street and ask for their ID papers or be arrested

Recent Research: Will Bolt continue to be a denier?

ANCHORAGE, Alaska—Some polar bears in the Arctic are shedding pounds during the time they should be beefing up, a new study shows. It’s the climate change diet, and scientists say it’s not good.
They blame global warming for the dwindling ice cover on the Arctic Ocean that the bears need for hunting seals each spring.
For their research, the scientists equipped nine female bears with tracking collars that had video cameras and the bear equivalent of a Fitbit during three recent springs. The bears also had their blood monitored and were weighed.
What the scientists found is that five of the bears lost weight and four of them lost 2.9 to 5.5 pounds (1.3 to 2.5 kilograms) per day. The average polar bear studied weighed about 386 pounds (175 kilograms). One bear lost 51 pounds (23 kilograms) in just nine days.
