Bolt's question is quite simple firstly Sheik Hilaly has the qualifications and is an expert on the Koran Secondly the Muslim community elected him to be their leader and advisor. He gained that respect from the ground up and not from the top down.ButBolt who knows nothing of Islam says he's "foisted on them.
Ask the same questions of Andrew Bolt and you find he has no qualifications whatsoever of any topic he was once an obituary writer. What's more, he wasn't elected to the job he was appointed foisted on us by his boss and now he's on Sky as well. It has little or nothing to do with journalism and it defined him on the fringe in the organization of a newspaper. Bolt was happy with that because he disliked facts, data and evidence. Unlike Sheik Hilaly Bolt hasn't gained any respect as a journalist wasn't a mixer but was a noted social climber whose greatest paranoia was not being on centre stage. Where real journalists pay little attention to the celebrity of journalism Andrew Bolt devoted all his attention to it terrified he'd be overlooked. The Imam's legacy of self-aggrandisement is of little importance to him his community is what he cares about and they realize that. Vilification is Bolt's choice of career and dividing Australia is his intention.

As Bolt usually does tells if there a drought in Qld and NSW he'll tell you it's wetter than it's ever in Australia. If the scientists of the world prove the planet is warming Bolt will tell you it's actually cooling. Deniers aren't sceptics their method is simplistic and outright denial riding on the backs of true sceptics science itself that admits it's not exact. But Bolt for whatever reason throws the baby out with the bathwater demanding exactitude.
To suggest science is the study of cause and effect when it isn't, denies it's a study of probabilities and theoretical explanation. The longer that study has been going on the better the odds of understanding global warming and it's odds of prediction shortening. So much so whatever deniers, paid or not say, they can't seem to be able to turn opinion around. Some people still say smoking doesn't cause cancer, others the world is flat and some believe News Corp sells real news and information. However, science proved them wrong.

It's interesting Bolt's biggest advertiser is Sports Bet the single most rigged gambling and probability site telling everyone a winner and there's Bolt doing much the same telling us to forget the evidence of science everyone won't be and the probability of winning is getting smaller. Bolt's trying to say the oceans aren't rising, glaciers and ice caps aren't melting why? Because global science can't pinpoint with proof the exact location of rising tides. Like Sportsbet can't tell you will be the next winner.
30 years ago the media took hold of a specific prediction the warning of "unnamed authorities" and Bolt uses that as evidence that Global Science is a quackery the Maldives aren't sinking but they are and some have gone in that nations 100s of islands.
Less than 5 years ago Bolt was insisting the planet wasn't warming it was cooling and had been for 20 years. He's stopped doing that and has changed tack back to total denial and calling the global science a religion.
So all those years Bolt's been chasing his tail zigzagging proving what? The inexactitude of science as proof of its total denial. Denial that its methods have had any success in informing us of the material world in which we live. That alone ought to be sufficient to prove Bolt is selling a dead parrot. No, the Maldives hasn't sunk but they are sinking due to ever-rising tides and that trend hasn't stopped.
Bolt, however, turns to the inexactitude of rather than the probability of Meteorology to prove Global Science is just a Religion yet he checks weather forecasts and doesn't pray for good weather despite the fact they aren't always right. Global Science doesn't predict it's errors but continually looks for them more so than Bolt. It doesn't say where the next drought will hit Australia or where the next floods will occur but it does indicate that the evidence of them worsening is probable.

Bolt scrapes Shier's article he didn't link it why? Opinion polls show the Australian public already "trusts" the ABC so why the need to rebuild it? The need is to protect it from the parasites that have been trying to destroy it and that's significantly different. First, the government buoyed by the likes of interest groups such as News Corp, and the IPA must go. The ABCs Independence so badly abused needs to be restored along with the finances. It's really quite simple and it's the fundamental issue that has failed the ABC in the past 5 years has been government interference. That hasn't really been acknowledged here has it?

Bolt keeps ignoring the fact that public opinion is growing against his denial of Global Warming, calling it a Religion or a minor event. The dream of denialists in politics is that if energy costs can be made to raise the public opinion will turn but the reverse has happened and investing billions against the global tide turning to renewables will cost Australia even more. Conservatives have managed to screw the renewable alternatives just as they have the NBN and our education system which has had consequences for investment here. Australia has never gone backwards as fast as we have experienced under the past 5 years of LNP government. Those that have suffered have been middle and lower class Australians whose savings have been depleted and are now the most indebted people on the planet. Meteorology is being applied to disproving Global Science. Soon we will be listening to Bolt and his fans crying out the planet is cooling because of a frost in WA. As I said Bolt's in the business of zigzagging about to prove science and it's methodology is busted. That there is no science here because it's not exact. So newtons theories don't apply in every context discard them, Einstein's not perfect dump him. Medicine must be witchcraft as far as Bolt is concerned given the mistakes made. Scrap science from our universities as it too misleading and political it's too ready to demand we need to change how we live and that will cost some more than others. Who is that "some" it's certainly not ordinary Australians that's for sure.

The consequences as a result of global warming have resulted in an enormous switch in technology. Renewable energy whether due to or not Global Warming has been and is a boon to the cost of energy and it's still only in a transitional phase. The world has turned to invest in it employing people in it and having the most populous nations in the world applying it. The argument as to whether or not the planet is warming is in some ways secondary to the transition away from fossil fuels and the price in the future. The arguments put forward by Bolt are directed at the science that has resulted in an advance in technologies that will provide a cleaner healthier and more sustainable planet at lower costs. Arguments like Bolts are directed at the science to stop the advancement of progress. However, that horse has bolted and the bull is in the fossil fuel china shop now. It's a bit late Andrew Bolt.

This isn't a question asked or answered it's pure personality trolling of the "acting" head of the ABC board appointed in the main by Fifield without regard to the advice of the merit panel that was put in place to choose appropriate board members. News Corp Trolls Bolt and Albrechtsen ignore Fifield's role and actions in this process to control the ABC board. In the past 85 years, the ABC has never experienced the level of interference as it has in the past 5. Interference prompted and encouraged by News Corp and the IPA for the LNP to step over the line ignoring the procedures in place to guarantee the ABC's Independence and editorial freedoms. This post ignores the role played by Murdoch media.'How did they even come to be directors of the ABC?
Now, how subjective are both Bolt's and Albrechtsen's comments about Ferguson they simply don't like her, why? Because they don't like her and attack her as a person. She's only the temporary "acting" chair she's not even a redhead and the trolls are bearing their teeth. What kind of people does News Corp breed... unsociable and very nasty ones.
There has been no reverse genderism in Australia's social history resentment by women maybe and it's deserved as is celebration. Bolt is simply an asshole and he has shown it more often than not. Albrechtsen certainly doesn't seem to care about it but then we don't know her wages are but she certainly doesn't work for an equal opportunity corporation and sounds like it. As for Kirstin, one can be sure she's in the minority on that board that chose her as "acting" chair who now Bolt calls out as dumb witted. That's the board Fifield chose with News Corp's approval and the "acting" chair Albrechtsen helped put in place. How is it they aren't smearing Fifield and themselves who appointed Ferguson if she lacks their degree of merit? Because merit has been their complaining now has been done away with. What hypocrites!
