 Orsen Welles film described the secondary world of art as Fake, unlike Trump his description had some substance. There is often more in the selling than the art. Andrew Bolt loves this social space he calls real.  (ODT)

A quick glance at the seller’s business card should have set off alarm bells for clients about to pay thousands of dollars for the artwork she was offering. Not only is her own name spelled incorrectly: "Laura Loiuse Johnson" but she is the director of an art gallery that does not exist.
There is no John Street Galleries in Sydney’s Woollahra, as her business card suggests, and no such business name is recorded with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

 

AFRICAN GANG ATTACKS CHEF

 A woman apparently from a Labor campaign called Steve Price and me "racists" on air this week  for mentioning African crime. Now: "A young chef says he thought he was going to die when about 20 youths of African appearance set upon him with a metal pole, knuckle dusters and a champagne bottle... as he left a restaurant in ­Melbourne’s St Kilda."

Donald Trump is running his campaign ads exactly in this same format and yes, America and the whole world is outraged and call him a racist too. Bolt wears this as a badge of honour without however declaring himself a Nationalist. Trump's campaign ads play on Fox News where the disparagement Latinos and particularly Mexicans as a race is common. Where the use of a single example of a crime committed by a Mexican becomes the sole justification for a racist political campaign for the midterm elections.
 'Africans Gang Attacks a Chef ', nobody is arrested, the Victorian elections are on this month and Matthew Guy is in desperate need of help. There is no mention of the fact that Dan Andrews has actually reduced the crime rate in this state by a significant 9% no. No Bolt and Price have chosen to amplify that the African community largely refugees are a scourge and responsible for crime on the Victorian landscape. Racist to a tee and a carbon copy of the Trump/Murdoch campaign currently running in the US being imported to Victoria when the crimes they, in fact, speak of represent on average 0.01% per 100,000 Victorians. You can't get more racist than that when the respectable white folks in our community are and have been systematically robbing us and our families blind to such an extent that they are driving ordinary Victorians to mental collapse and even suicide. However, these events remain unmentioned by Racists and ultra-conservatives like Bolt.

IN DEFENCE OF SACKED ROSS CAMERON

NO, NOT A 'RACIST' SBS slimes: "Ross Cameron has been let go from Sky News after on-air comments many said were 'racist'." But listen to Ross's (regrettable) comments in context. He was defending Chinese people, not mocking them. He was actually arguing against racist stereotypes.  The outrage-takers have taken him down with selective quoting. How depressing.

The Sleeping Giants weren't referring to just a single case of Ross Cameron crossing the line even the execs at Sky News were aware of a long list. Cameron's transgressions were as many, as varied and as in your face as Mark Latham's so much so he even acknowledged and made yet another apology for the sleight, telling Macquarie Radio he' may' have been wrong.
"I don't expect to make perfect live television every time," he said.
"On this occasion, I obviously fell short of what was required.

"If anyone's been hurt, I'm very happy to sincerely apologise.

Mr Cameron said he had made other "more serious" mistakes for which he had not been punished.
 His opinion on the order of the list wasn't it seems the same as management's and it appears the number of times he crossed the line mattered. Bolt makes no mention of any of that and in the same vein "as it's OK to be white" it seems he believes' it's ok to be a racist' too. Cameron's a nice guy is what Trump said about the ultra-Right at Charlottesville too and the matter was really the fault of those provoking them. In Bolt's case the outraged Sleeping Giants who turned Cameron into a victim.
What's occurred according to Bolt  " is a foul deception. The opposite of the truth." but he's not conflating that blame with Sky's management at all is he? Aren't they the Sleeping Giants unmentioned in Bolt's context?
No, as far as Bolt is concerned Cameron was actually praising the Chinese for their appreciation of things Western. Just as the West appreciated and could be said stolen things from the Chinese for much longer.
 Trump and Bolt actually blame the Asians, not for their commercial ingenuity but for ripping off and taking advantage of anything Western both state or commercial "owned". Where would they be today if it weren't for the genius of Western Culture today? Bolt's "prudence" amounts to calling the Chinese spies, thieves of anything commercial or intellectual from the west and trying to colonize the Pacific just as the West attempted to do. Trump, in fact, claims the Chinese are to blame for infecting the West with hoax ideas like Climate Change. Bolt agrees they shouldn't be allowed into the country after all Murdoch media was kicked out of China.
According to Bolt that's  the "context"  that's been ignored in this matter so much so even Ross Cameron didn't recognize just how nice and polite he was being.
Again Bolt's outrage-takers it seems were in this instance Cameron's and Bolt's executive bosses and lawyers who as Cameron has said but Bolt overlooks have a right to hire and fire anyone they choose and they have. It's not the first time the Outsiders have come to the attention of Sky management and have been warned but then Bolt is not going down that street in naming and shaming those that can shut him down too.

ASPERGER'S AND GENDER CONFUSION

This paragraph from The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome  by Tony Attwood is quite frightening when you consider the recent rush to put young and very vulnerable people into "transition" to a new gender identity.

How does Andrew Bolt draw the conclusion that because medical research has found that some people with Aspergers suffer gender confusion because of their Aspergers syndrome? That it follows that young people who want gender reassignment are then possibly conflicted with undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome and as a result, some errors might be made therefore gender reassignment should be dropped altogether.
Bolt's logic here shouldn't surprise he runs the same arguments against the Science of Climate Change. Against our Immigration policies on Africans all of which are massive generalisations drawn from some very narrow individual cases. Yet no such generalisation is made that some of the cases that Attwood considered may, in fact, have been wrong. History, in fact, shows science and research haven't given us reason to stop but rather the probability to move forward.
Bolt logic of perfection would have the world at a standstill waiting for exact data in 100% of cases before any conclusions can be drawn to progress. That logic leads us to Abbott's world of nope nope nope and the least number of bills passed by any PM for over 70 years. It's been the demise of the Australian government for the past 5 years that's taken our economy from 2nd to 20th globally Education to second last of the 40 OECD countries, the NBN to 60th when it comes to Internet speeds. Its the system Abbott called nothing more than an entertainment system. It's the same logic Bolt applies to Immigration and the children still in detention for the past 5 years. All of this because Bolt can't dare accept the wider conclusions and consensus of Psychiatry Psychology and Sociology yes the Social Sciences. Bolt is still certain behaviourist therapies should be applied first despite their history of failure when it comes to gender and identity. Bolt's ignorance is the assumption that Attwood statement is some sort of Holy Grail and all others are the ignorant. It raises Bolt to the status of a buffoon. Attwood gains no respect in his simplistic Christian approach to the issue but it's no surprise that Bolt has found it worthy.
