This viral comic about working motherhood is so true - Motherly
Mothers can be found at the top of many professions, and the current generation of fathers are doing more than the dads that raised them, but we can't pretend that working mothers and working fathers are on the same playing field. We are jumping over hurdles while the men beside us are sprinting down a clear track. This simple metaphor illustrated by a Peruvian cartoonist at La Republica captures the complex challenges faces by working mothers.https://www.facebook.https://www.facebook.com/NITVAustralia/videos/1053016964822695/?t=34
JULIE BISHOP LEAKS WHY SHE'S NOT TRUSTED
The Sydney Morning Herald's Peter Hartcher can't understand why Liberal MPs didn't trust Julie Bishop: "So why was Bishop the first candidate dismissed in a three-way leadership contest, with a mere 11 votes?" Well, one clue is the start of Hatcher's story: yet another self-serving leak, bagging her leader, that must have come from Bishop.
PAYWALL
It captured the tragedy of The Liberal Party"homophobic, women-hating climate deniers". She was admired and appreciated by just about every constituency at home and abroad, but not her own party. Those 11 votes indicated just that and not Andrew Bolt's pathetic misogynistic explanation about mistrust.
"I'm going to see Tina Arena," Morrison said. "Could you give me her number so I can tell her I'll be at her opening show?" Scott Morrison to Julie Bishop
I think the cartoon above does more to explain the Liberal Party than anything Bolt has to say. It explains Bolt's career and why he now describes himself as the only earner in his family yet his wife had greater potential than he did as a journalist. How he just assumed he was the natural to take over from Steve Price when he was on holiday and not Miranda Devine. Why he stayed on a News Corp with its misogynistic culture that allowed women to be used and Bolt certainly did.
It explains why he's been putting the boot into Julie Bishop whenever he can, or the opportunity arises. However, history isn't on his side and will always remember the fact that Bishop failed to get the votes in the leadership spill simply because the men in the party wouldn't have it any other way. Terrified Dutton would win Morrison was a soda for the job as was any other dog but never the bitch.
Bolt chauvinistic gripe has always been in plain sight never hidden he forgave Morrison for his role in rolling Tony but never Julie Bishops. You saw what Morrison thought of Dutton and Abbott in the Boomgate photo when he couldn't do anything to shut those two conservative bozos up. Abbott spent his 2 years in office showing what a dickhead he was with Bolt the paid Murdochian media dog barking behind saying he's really not like that sorry, sorry sorry. Bishop was the politician the only one that had the future of the party in mind when she helped get rid of the leader who lead from behind the closed doors of the PMO.
Now look at them yo-yo's, that's the way you do it
You read a few words on the TV
That ain't workin', that's the way you do it
Money for nothin' and your chicks for free
The Internet Can't Stop Laughing About the Way This Senator Talked to Some Children
PAYWALL- Andrew Bolt's Crazy Socialist Scam Seems So Removed From His Alternative Dream of that Paved Paradise
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot… More
They took all the trees
And put them in a tree museum
And they charged all the people
A dollar and a half to see 'em
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
'Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And they put up a parking lot
Hey farmer farmer
Put away that D.D.T. now
Give me spots on my apples
But leave me the birds and the bees
Please
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
'Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
Here's a poll you won't hear from Bolt
Majority of those polled in Peter Dutton’s and Tony Abbott’s electorates back the move
What we have is a complaint, no a whinge, from somebody who uses the pro-Conservative Rasmussen Poll exclusively when announcing how well Trump is doing in the USA. Look at his banner, and it spits his bias.
Given that the nature of the Medivac Bill hardly changed what was in existence anyway other than lowering the Liberal Party's spending on lawyers trying to prevent seriously ill patients even children from being treated here and lying that there was a medical professional for every 7 refugees, not doctors or psychiatrists, just people with boxes of bandaids. Dutton was known to have cases of children taken to court to delay treatment only to let them in at the last minute before a decision against him was handed down and recorded. Humanity was wholly lost for politic's sake.
Whatever questions GETUP asked were reasonable under the circumstance. Wait to watch the poll change back to the ALP given the reality of the liars paradise Morrison created and is still promoting. The truth ASIO declared the Liberals and the Murdoch press totally misrepresented the advice they put out. They all had full knowledge of the fact that it was BS what was being said for politics and politics alone. It's the only reason they needed to call it a "leak". It was totally fabricated and became a team event. So they needed to cover themselves. Bolt's still calling the medical profession activists simply because they swear to the Hippocratic Oath which puts Humanity before politics.
Compared to Bolt's "push" GetUp are saints far closer to the mark in reporting the facts of their polling methods. As for Tony Abbott on the nose in Warringah GetUP isn't the only polls indicating that the Liberal ones are too it's why so many people always Liberal voters are running against him.
HAT-TRICK OF UNDERDOGS: NOW SRI LANKA BEATS SOUTH AFRICA
Stunning. Sri Lanka has just beaten South Africa 2-0 in their Test series - and in South Africa. This follows the West Indies beating England 2-1 and New Zealand's first away-from-home series win against Pakistan in 49 years. Has there even been such a string of unlikely results in three months of Test cricket?
