As the two-state solution slides, or rather is driven, into oblivion by the Trump administration and the Israeli government, I am reminded of a comment John Bolton, now the president’s National Security Advisor, made in 2017. He was in Israel at the time and he said there should be a three-state solution: the Israelis to absorb most of the West Bank including the settlements and areas already designated as under its full control, the Jordanians to pick up the isolated Palestinian communities that were left in the West Bank and Egypt to take Gaza. The Palestinian dream of a homeland snuffed out irrevocably. The Bolton joke oops!!
Let's not forget the destruction of Secular Arabic states was a plan conceived as far back as the 70s and has been slowly enacted to prevent a pan-Arabic union of increasingly secular countries like Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Syria all with armies and access to wealth and a potential to resist as a united front. Andrew Bolt has won little or nothing in the 30 years he's worked at News Corp. Bolt deflects the issue away from Koch as if the article was written by the ABC. However no matter who published the article it was written by a journalist that was with News Corp for 30 years and can't merely be written off as a "lefty". The paper’s social affairs writer, Rick Morton, told journalism students at the University of Technology, Sydney, that senior writers know what the editorial line is and write stories to fit.
Asked whether the Murdoch paper’s journalists were uncomfortable with the Australian barracking for the Coalition in the election, Morton said they were “more uncomfortable certainly now than at any time I’ve been there in the past seven years”.
“There is a real mood that something has gone wrong,” he said in a podcast posted online by UTS.
“It’s not always a Murdoch line; it’s just that Murdoch hires editors who are very much like him.”
The extraordinary interview emerged on the same day a celebrated former Murdoch employee Tony Koch, 67, criticised his old employer for “shameful bias”.
The irony is still to come when Bolt starts talking of a conspiracy.

Andrew Bolt preferred writing obits to real journalism, and in any true media organisations where journalists work, Andrew Bolt wasn't regarded as a real journalist. Any journalist worth his salt appointed to that role of obit writer knew he was on his way out of the organisation.
In the '90s Murdoch with the help of Roger Ailes started to focus on targeting news to a particular Demographic Ailes called the monied 55 to Dead. That began tailoring their communication according to what that audience wanted to hear reinforcing their beliefs and basically dividing the country. Soon others began to follow like Sinclair who today is determined to chase Fox's demographic.
Andrew Bolt was groomed in that era where the semblance of debate which we see occurring on the ABC's The Drum, Q&A and other programs has basically disappeared from Sky. The news didn't any longer need any semblance of truth, and it became the ideal for Bolt who simply hated the work of journalism. It took Bolt to where he is today the Bolt Report and the weekly carousel of repetitive storytelling on various topics from week to week. Bolt really doesn't need to work at all just read the autocue nightly and have a whiskey with a mate. His columns are generally set for the week, and so the repetition begins no new work is necessary and would have fallen into his lap to even get noticed, It's, in fact, the Lazy Susan of commentary and you won't get so don't expect any better. The formula has been set.
I have never been a member of a political party, but this time I was so disgusted with what News Corp was shoving down the neck of my fellow Australians that I volunteered in my local electorate of Dickson to assist the Labor candidate.
I did it because the candidate is Ali France who was a cadet at the Courier-Mail when I was there 25 years ago, and her ability and honesty are well-known. She does not deserve to be discriminated against by any media bent on ensuring she does not get a fair go.
And that has certainly happened.
