Home Affairs fails to back claim Medevac bill saw spike in self-harm cases

The Home Affairs department has been unable to provide evidence to back up its claim that self-harm cases had spiked in offshore processing following the passing of the Medevac bill.

• Home Affairs said it had evidence that "influential transferees" were coaching others to self-harm
• The department said the legislation was perceived as the most effective way for individuals to be transferred to Australia
• Doctors helping to prepare Medevac applications rejected Home Affairs' argument, saying there was "absolutely no evidence"

Well, according to Andrew Bolt's sources, the reporting on the Amazon Fires is a hoax, Nevermind that the G7 nation's intelligence received is less than his, and the photos are fake. Fake planes are dropping water, which is a fool's errand, according to Bolt. The hoax is on the people of Sao Paulo as well whose skies have been blackened by the just burning off of farmland.
Remember when Bolt said this year there were no extreme droughts in NSW and QLD because it's actually been a very wet year for AUSTRALIA. According to him, there was nothing to see because, on the map of Australia, these were tiny areas. Well, he seems to be doing it again trying to suggest that this season's wildfires in Brazil are typical. One because farmers are simply burning off. If that were the case, why is the president of Brazil declaring this to be an "exceptional" fire Season which he has no control over and why is he asking for help?
So if Bolt's right he's wrong anyway because the "lungs of the planet" are diminishing and man is doing it. Because if what he is saying were true, then the amount of farmland being burnt off has doubled, and ergo that once rainforest was destroyed by man and is not a normal but a disaster in itself. Is that Fake news?
There are vast tracts of rainforest, and in individual States, they are totally out of control. Just as there were exceptional droughts in small areas of Australia when Bolt cried "bullshit" and told farmers to put a sock in it because he knew their drought was normal, and besides Australia was experiencing it's wettest year. Dry or wet, we experienced extreme weather due to Warming. Qld's cattle industry was badly damaged.
 He can't help himself, can he? Generalising sometimes from the particular wildly generalising and at other times from the general to the particular as in this case saying there's nothing to be seen here. He's cherrypicking whatever suits his contra argument against Climate Change.
