What the study doesn't show is the increase of overt racism in schools during the 2000s when the conservatives have been in government. Attitudes amplified by media commentators like Andrew Bolt's Islamophobic, anti-coloured immigrant call of "who let them in". His negative portrayal of indigenous Australians and their cultures has been endless. What it does show, however, is the ineffectiveness of our RDA laws and their application to stop this racism. Andrew Bolt would singularly be the most racist commentator in our media ether a role model for what Australians have become this century. He is an enabler of racial and Islamophobic thinking that finds itself in the behaviours accepted in actions.
Bolt could be heard laughing with his son James at the thought of a "South Sudanese Community" Beauty Contest on an IPA podcast the man and organisation had no shame. Yet if anyone complains, Bolt declares himself the victim of the NEW RACISM (ODT)
One in five African students has been threatened by another student, and almost half of East Asian students have been called names, according to a survey of 4600 state school pupils across Victoria and NSW.
Racism and religious intolerance remain widespread in Australia's primary and secondary schools, researchers from Australian National University have found, with discrimination coming from both students and teachers.

Morrison Government in idle mode as children end their own lives
Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his suicide prevention advisers straddle along as if there is no urgency while children as young as six attempt suicide, writes Gerry Georgatos.
That children so young – barely out of the cradle – should contemplate suicide is more than a national shame and indictment. It is the cruellest abomination and unforgivable.
This attitude is representative of Australia since 1788, and it has been amplified as it can't any longer be hidden in 2019, but Morrison can ignore it while having conservatives point their bones at China in outrageous hypocrisy to impress Trump. (ODT)
