Trump is often treated like an outlier, a man who is violating all the norms and laws and customs that supposedly defined Capitol Hill. That belief doesn't square with the fact that, at this point, pretty much every elected Republican in D.C., along with their entire staffs, isn't just tolerating Trump's Ukraine conspiracy but is actively participating in it. This is leading to a surreal situation where the very institutions that are supposed to work as a check on Trump's crime and corruption are, in fact, thick with co-conspirators. In the case of the Senate, it's fair to say that the institution is run by the president's co-conspirators.
In the face of that, it is impossible for anything resembling justice to happen. The only question now is whether the American public will see this and understand it, or whether the truth — that one of our two major political parties is in on the crimes — is too big and ugly to accept.

Australia has been cutting the pigtails off the Chinese since the gold rush days and "two Wongs don't make a white". Nothing has changed racism is the simplest card to play when your a government without policies and your economic management is seriously tanking. This LNP government is also trying to run the narrative that today's economic disaster Frydenberg and Morrison have put us in is all Wayne Swann's fault for saved this country from the GFC.

Abbott/Dutton/Morrison have used the same racist division as a political ploy since Howard was in government and they witnessed the ugly face of white nationalism during the Cronulla riots of 2005 in  Scott Morrison's electorate. 

It started with Islamophobia, but it failed when there was no Islamic terror on a mass scale in Australia. In fact, we saw the reverse in Christchurch, which knocked the wind out of their sails.  So they turned to African bigotry but failed to mention that the people from South Sudan were REAL ASYLUM SEEKERS in the main Christian skilled and often than not more educated than the average Australian. Yes, their kids had a supervision problem due to the lack of government services. Australian born crims saw an advantage and used them. Dutton and Morrison backed off when Victoria produced a disastrous election result.

 Having been caught out for manipulating our election with the false election posters in Chisolm to advantage their LNP Chinese candidate Gladys Lieu they have now turned anti-China. The LNP readily put a stain on Democracy but are now using China as a distraction. Gladys Lieu has a lot of question unanswered about her relationship with China's CPC
The LNP have flipped and returned to the great success they once had when they stole Pauline Hanson's anti-Asian stance off One Nation by having her thrown in gaol. They are flag-waving very loudly, making it seem they are the patriots and not just election meddlers. What better way to distract from their lacklustre economic management and overall performance of late than go full bore anti-China and pro-America. After all, we were once considered the 51rst state of the USA, and it seems we are again.
  Murdoch the little digger runs the news coming out of the White House and has been doing the same in Australia since Abbott banned his team from appearing on the ABC. Australian Corporate business model is now full-on Right-wing with Ch9's acquisition of Fairfax the Quid Pro Quo is truly in place. All Australian government news, press and advertising contracts will flow to and through these mega-corporations as a priority and not to the ABC whose budgets will continue to be cut.(ODT)

HONG KONG GIVES CHINA A KICKING IN ELECTION

Here's why communist China hates democracy. Its cronies were smashed in Hong Kong's council elections: "All but one of Hong Kong’s 18 local councils are now controlled by democrats. At the last election in 2015, the pro-Beijing establishment controlled all 18. Almost 90 per cent of all 452 seats contested were won by anti-government candidates.
Andrew Bolt hates "activists and street protesters" no matter which side they are on " because he hates violence" which like Trump is the same on both sides. However, manners come first, but here he is celebrating the "activist" win and 6 months of manipulated violence that accompanied it. An event China didn't interfere with as much as the CIA did.
For all Bolt's bru ha there's one major fact he overlooks.

 Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that regardless of the outcome, Hong Kong will remain an unalienable part of the Chinese state.

" While the opposition might have dealt a blow to the Carry Lam administration, the victory is largely symbolic. District councils lack any political leverage and deal mostly with communal issues, such as transport, utility services as well as oversee the distribution of funds to be spent on recreational and environmental activities."

YOUNG IPA PODCAST: NOT THE ONE VIRGINIA TRIOLI WOULD ENJOY

I should have posted this last week: Senator James Paterson on the Young IPA podcast responding to the ABC's Virginia Trioli, who'd scolded him for criticising China. But what makes it just as listenable now is what we've since heard about Chinese agents offering $1 million to get their candidate elected to our Parliament. Listen and marvel. 

Fake and twisted as fruit doesn't fall far from the tree James Bolt practices in his father's shadow.

1) James Patterson used the word "repent", while James Bolt attributed it to Virginia Trioli. It seems these 3 IPA lads no jerks weren't bothered listening to what Trioli was saying only intent on promoting Patterson's

2) Virginia Trioli wasn't making a statement but posing a question to James Patterson, which is what good interviewers are meant to do and what the ABC does and does very well. It's why it's head and shoulders above anything Murdoch, and the IPA have to offer.

3) Unlike the ABC, these three were intent on doing nothing other than cheering James Patterson on rather than examining whether or not he was stirring up anti- China sentiment purely for the sake of it. Looking for a distraction for the LNP poor all-round performance this week. 

4) If the words aggression and China are used so freely, and diplomacy is thrown out the window as it has been shouldn't it be surprising that China simply distances itself From Australia after all it's been Australia's politicians throwing insults. However, insults without real facts.

5) Here we see a clear case of the IPA/LNP and Murdoch cabal stirring up and drawing attention away from the woeful performance of Morrison and Frydenberg on the economy dropping us so far down the OECD ladder to 19 positions. Combine that with Morrison's denial's that the current weather conditions being experienced are "normal".
